The explanation on the spelling changes to dictate the pronunciation of the C and the G is really clear and very helpful. It makes it much easier to remember and understand. Also reinforcing what we learned earlier when dealing with the G and E. Great stuff !! Merce Beaucoup !
Let me know if you understand the sound better 😀 Need the eBook? It's here : bit.ly/2WpXsz2 The PDF : theperfectfrench.com/shop/pdf-course-books/the-complete-pronunciation-course-learn-the-french-pronunciation-in-55-lessons/
It's strange as I thought I knew the English language really well, but I've realised that I have no idea why I speak the I do sounds and how things are put together it's simply just learned. I cannot express how much easier it is to learn when I can see patterns and rules to follow, it's incredibly useful! Your course is helping me understand how to pronounce new words I come across as I can pick out the different sounds, I've noticed a huge confidence boost in my reading as I can hear the sounds as I read and my pronunciation when reading aloud is much better as I can hear my mispronunciations a lot better.
That's so great! I always say that pronunciation rules are the foundation of French because it will also help with spelling. Keep going. You are doing great!
moi cest Gibbs ici, Dylane. im a native Malayalam speaker which is actually India's one of the most popular state, Kerala's regional language. btw i should admit whatever sounds / pronunciations you taught until now including this lesson's, its really easily for me to grasp or to pronounce just because of the similar sounds or letters (that i could combine to form similar french sounds as an added advantage) that ive in Malayalam. im also proficient in English as well. nd im learning French just because ive a very special one in Paris which i consider a blessing to know her in my life i.e. she being my inspiration to learning the language. merci bcp à toi aussi pour ces super lecons:)
Happy new year 2021. Bonjour Dylane et comment allez vous! This lesson is not very easy but need more practice using this lesson resource for learning French by using IPA. We are very grateful to your effort. Merci beaucoup pour votre Lesson.
This does make more sense! Merci beaucoup 🙏🙏🙏🙏 I believe I can pronounce the sound on its own quite well, but when there’s an r in front I do struggle 😅 but I’ll rewatch this video and practice 💪 I swear the word for squirrel 🐿 no matter the language is difficult 😅😂
@@Stephanie-gv8rh heck it's hard for me, not only a native speaker but i'm a historian who studies the rural South so I have to say it a lot. Where I'm from in Oklahoma it all just becomes one syllable, sounds like "ruol" or ""rul."
@@paulharvey7278 oh my you would use that word a lot then! English definitely has some hard words 😅 I also find it gets worse depending on the accent/country
Wow this was a tough one as a student, I bet it was as tough for you to teach it. You have all my troublesome words in there like Le Fauteuil (which I only managed to master just the other day), plus Une Feuille and also my nemesis Un Écureuil. I wonder if it is as hard for us Brits to say that as it is for the French to say A Squirrel when you first heard that 🤣
I explained at the beginning of the course why I don't translate all the words into the IPA. From my experience, you should be able to recognize the sounds from the rules instead of looking it up all the time ;)

Pas de quoi Mike ☺️ Happy that I cleared things about the spelling 😁

I agree 😂 I still struggle with the word in English 😂
ardilla in spanish, very easy! you're right it's hard in English too, along with "rural," nobody can say that.
@@paulharvey7278 😂 yes rural is hard for non native speakers, along with thorough as well.

Dylane, Merci mille fois! Enfin, je sais prononcer Longueuil, une ville de banlieue au sud-est de Montréal ! 🙂
Je t'en prie Dan :)

Dylane, use the International Phonetic Alphabet more. The audience can then understand the French phonemes you are referring to.
Thank you mam
Pas de quoi 😉
well explained 🌹
Merci 🙂
Wow. Reception has its own special word in french.😲
Bon soir Madame.
At repeat mode to watch again this video, a few minutes ago I saw a BBC video which one part comes in this lesson.
Abientot.
You saw a BBC video with a part of this video?

The rolling I makes it easier for sure :)
Wow. This pronunciation was somewhat difficult. But it is the time to know the "theory" behind how we speak.
It's probably the most difficult of the whole course 😕 But I have no doubt that you will master it 💪
Bonne annee bonne sante 2021
Merci beaucoup Joseph! Bonne année et bonne santé à toi aussi ✨
"if that makes sense" (une feuille/un portefeuille) -- no it doesn't but sometimes one must simply accept things and not argue with a language ahaha
I had almost cut that off the video for this reason 😅
Comment je peux imèliorer mon français ?
Est-ce que tu as suivi le cours de prononciation depuis le début?
it's really useful lesson. but I wonder is really french people use this words in real life 😞
Those are really common words, why wouldn't we use them?
I think I’m going to abstain from ever saying squirrel in French for the rest of my life! 😂
There are a couple of words that I just don't say ever in English 😃
It is good the french people know it is hard to pronounce, I think I will never be able to master it
Just keep practicing but if you don't get it, it's not a big deal :)
Pouvez vous me aider SLP?
J'ai répondu à ton commentaire précédent 🙂
You explain really good but the problem is that you are too much beautiful and I can't concentrate 🤣😍
first like first comment
Merci 🤩
