Bonjour Dylane et comment allez vous! You discuss the different pronunciation of s & z with examples which are very helpful to learn French by using IPA. We are very grateful to your effort. Merci beaucoup pour votre Lesson.
The reason why “Z” in “Les Aztèques” is pronounced as [S] is very clear to me. Because the word came to French through Spanish in which one doesn’t pronounce “Z” as [Z] but as “TH” [θ] of English in Spain or as [S] in Latin-American countries.”
Yes you are right Dylane, well for me I find myself nodding to you and saying "yes" when you ask us questions 🤣 My wife sees me doing this and says you are "the other woman" 🤣🤣 I hope you had a good birthday weekend 👍🏻 Also in the book I read "Un seau" and it made me laugh because my French teacher always picked me up because I used to say "so" all the time when I was repeating what she had taught me. So she pointed out that each time I said "so" and then spoke French, I was starting each sentence saying "bucket" 🤣 This is indeed a very interesting lesson!
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane avec les double consonnes, c'est déjà le son é, ce n'est pas necessaire en dessert? mais oui avec désert? les è . . . pourquoi c'est le français, c'est tout ahahahaha. J'ai vu un post sur instagram con les pronunciations différentes de "les" dans quelques régions différentes de France -- lé ou lè . . . mais pour moi, je ne peux rien écouter la différence.

Can you demonstrate the difference in pronunciation between poison and poisson? Thanks :) Your videos have been so helpful
I might make a short video on that soon 🙂
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane merci beaucoup!
désert/dessert -- très important, la pronunciation!
Je confirme 🙂
Paul, est-ce que tu vois pourquoi le premier E est prononcé É et È ?

"je n'entends aucune différence" *
So Z is only used in the middle of a word if that word is a number?
There might be other ones but right now I can only think about numbers :)
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane I thought of bizarre. Why not a S in that word?
I am here to learn some french, not to fall in love
