these girls totally get it, great playing, singing, choice of instruments and amps.... playing barefoot... what's not to love ❤️ seriously though, as soon as I heard this song closing my eyes this coukd have been a Pocket Monster song from the early days, but this band here is way way more fun.
I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THESE GIRLS!!! Everything about them is totally cool! I love the great early 1960's Beach sound, the 1963 beehive hairstyles and the that they are all barefoot!! The fact that 3 hot chicks can sound so good and be so much fun is truly wonderful!!!
They didn't use the full song in the film, but they used that little "yeah yeah" at the end, during the beginning of the whole scene then they start singing I'm Blue then the famous, Woo Hoo :)
this is badass never heard this one from them and don't remember it in the movie then again it has been a while gonna have to get down on some kill bill again
"Why wasn't this in the soundtrack?" It was. Background to the scene where O Rin Ishi & here minons enter the club. If you look carefully on the right at about 1:48 they are walking along the edge of the dance floor, led by the owner & wife. Also a careful look will reveal Taratino on the dance floor ; )
@SupernalOne Rockabilly is not "Black American" music. It was a combination of Blues and Country (Hillbilly) music popularized by white artists like Carl Perkins and Elvis in his early days. It was a whole new style of music born of two comepletely different cultures.
The 5,6,7,8s rock! Count on Quentin Tarantino to recognize and honor Asian talent when he sees it, including unsung talents like Gordon Liu and the 5,6,7,8s.
aaaaahhhhhhh! goddamnit! i dont even have words. this and im blue are the coolest fucking things ive ever seen! i love kill bill, but i bought the dvd mostly just for the 5.6.7.8's extras!!
I'll bet the drummer is using a Ludwig Speedking pedal, it sounds like it has the infamous squeak they were kind of famous for (listen to some Zeppelin, you can hear it there too).
Would Ludwig Speedkings have been sold in Japan in the 1980s & 90s? If so it is possible. The 5678 were a Japanese band tho they did tour internationally. If I remember correctly the House of Blue Leaves sequence was filmed in Japan, it is possible they were using their own equipment.
@ffjsb Black people invented rock and Roll. Elvis got his hits from a black man. A few of them. The blacks were doing it way before any white dude was, and frankly, I wish they would do more. Music is in the shitter.
Maybe I could be wrong ,but I wonder 5, 6, 7, 8 s are based on 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's ? because I listened to most of their music that came from those era.
why do they insist on being weird and vocals so sloppy/out of sync? I get the whole alternative image and all- but seems alot of Japanese girl bands do that.
Tarantino surely knows how to pick songs for his movies
I love ❣️ them 🤩
Drummer is killing me. She had some great moves.
The girls are very talented and deserve more attention ❤
I love their untrained vocals. Mixed with their very heavy Japanese accent, it adds a punk edge to their music.
They are absolutely surfer punk as fuck. Great hybridization.
Well, they seem to have originated as a punk or garage band in the 1980s
Check out Petty Booka
Came here to say this!
La neta del planeta ¿Si o no raza?
These girls absolutely ROCK. Love their music!
They are great - They dig the US Rockabilly scene and express it in their own way - way to go girls - luv ya!
1:47 O-ren and her guards show up
PERHAPS THE MOST AUTHENTIC ROCK AND ROLL OF THE MODERN ERA!!!
It's the pure dope no doubt.
these girls totally get it, great playing, singing, choice of instruments and amps.... playing barefoot... what's not to love ❤️
seriously though, as soon as I heard this song closing my eyes this coukd have been a Pocket Monster song from the early days, but this band here is way way more fun.
This is one of my favorite 5678's songs since i first heard them 8 years ago. It is soo cool to see them do it live!
They sound like cats harmonizing. I love it. Bomb the twist, girls!

Let's be honest they're only barefoot because of Tarantino in here

The band that striped my rig from tons of crap effects to just my Fender Hot Rod, a few Boss stomp boxes. I loooooove the clean sound.

"I talk like Jayne Mansfield" - that is, if Jayne Mansfield had a very strong Japanese accent.
3:20 long exactly. Gold rule adhered.
"Why wasn't this in the soundtrack?"
It was. Background to the scene where O Rin Ishi & here minons enter the club. If you look carefully on the right at about 1:48 they are walking along the edge of the dance floor, led by the owner & wife. Also a careful look will reveal Taratino on the dance floor ; )
I think the person meant, why 'I Walk like Jayne Mansfield' and 'I'm Blue' wasnt on the CD Soundtrack as well, cause the song 'Woo Hoo' of them was
The woman is the owner, Charlie Brown worked for her
@@sbrooks729 Charlie Brown is... her husband.

@SupernalOne Yep, it even sounds good when done with a heavy Japanese accent!
Maybe I could be wrong ,but I wonder 5, 6, 7, 8 s are based on 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's ? because I listened to most of their music that came from those era.
@schoolerzacka Barefooted Japanese rockabilly chicks. Hello!
@W4775 me too i have a good idea for his next movie
why do they insist on being weird and vocals so sloppy/out of sync? I get the whole alternative image and all- but seems alot of Japanese girl bands do that.
Guys could never get away with this shit!
