I’ll never forget. It was October of 2002. My band and I had played a local gig and met a couple of
Girls who invited us back to their place . We were hangin out and “Untitled “ came on her music playing. I was hooked right away and said “who is this?” She told me a band called Interpol from NYC. I bought the album the next day and listened to it over and over again. It completely changed the way my band and I wrote songs and gave us a new direction to explore. Of course, we never wrote anything close to the greatness of this album but it was certainly fun . This album brings me back to a time when I was 22. In college. Had a band. And anything seemed possible. Thank You gentlemen. Thank You.

This made me so nostalgic for like 10 years ago when I first heard this album. I can only imagine what it's like for people around for the release.

It was an awesome time. Rock was still very mainstream. You found new music from magazines/TV/Radio. There was no download one song only..you had to purchase the whole album. Music went downhill fast by 2010.

Te quiero un chingo Interpol! TOTBL es mi disco favorito en esto que llamamos vida. No pierdo la esperanza que Carlos Dengler regrese algún día y todo vuelva a ser tan perfecto. Los amo! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🇲🇽🌮

I still have this album on CD. Such a cool different sound. Obstacle 1 is my favorite song off that album.

I am so grateful for the music they bring to this world, to my life. I knew the band's name but not their music since this year and I am obsessed and so f**** grateful to discover them. There is no time stamp for great music! Great tunes will live forever. Thankful, inspired, in love really. Hope to see and hear them on EU tour soon!

Im really glad they kept Carlos in this. I wish they didnt censor him out of their current products. I want him to play with Interpol one last time before we die.

That would be great. Hopefully one day in the future they'll be civil with one another. If James iha and Billy Corgan could work out their differences (to name one band that I know of) then maybe just maybe Interpol and Carlos would make amends. 🤞🤞

@@jadew.6786 The saddest thing is if Matador or Paul/Daniel/Sam had contacted Carlos, he definitely would have performed the Bright Lights XV tour. I know that upset him a ton, it would've been so amazing. I also know he would've stuck to touring with them if they had stayed in the US. He just hated traveling to other countries a ton.

@Bearz DLC I agree. Paul, daniel, and Sam should at least reach out and just communicate with Carlos.

Thank you, Interpol. I liked your stuff when i was 16, and at 33, it holds up FLAWLESSLY. I had the great fortune of catching you guys at shaky knees in Atlanta in...2015, i think it was. A joy I won't soon forget 🌹
