It is not just the clothes that makes your videos so enjoyable but letting us see the essence of people. By taking an interest in them we get to see a little of who they are. Really quite beautiful. Thank you.
I thought so too, she's shinning a spot light on them just for a few minutes but those feeling/ memories will stay with them for awhile, I just love that.
I can’t believe people say New Yorkers are unfriendly. This series is so much more than style, it’s seeing people. The smiles and the connection is beautiful 💕
Mainly because Karen makes it impossible for one to be unfriendly. She's so approachable and good at making conversations. Plus I'm sure there's alot of people who turn her down and are unfriendly
its fascinating how so many of these individuals know exactly where every piece came from, I can only imagine how curated their wardrobes are. Karen your vides confirms why New York is one of the central city for the fashion industry, but also how friendly these strangers are towards you - credit to you for sure. The gentleman in full Japanese designer look, with the kilted skirt is sexy as fuck.
Karen, I can really feel your love in doing these moving portraits of what people are wearing and how it reflects their individual personalities. You are reaching out to people from all types of backgrounds in such a caring and respectful way. You put them at ease to share a piece of who they are through their own personal style. Being able to do this, in this way, is just one of the things we all love about you. ♥️
Can I say that people who look at the smartphone while you talk to them, saying them they look fantastic, are so rude? Talking about style, I personally think no matter what you wear, how good you look like if you behave like this...style is about good manners too, to me. Nice video as always, thanks!
People's manners are generally lacking, I find. But you have to give them a bit of room here. After all, they were not expecting to be talked to, they are walking on the street, possibly meeting someone. I still agree they aught to excuse themselves. But you can't expect them to miss a text to maybe meet a car ride, especially with a kid on their hip.
Depy Xirouchakis I used to do things like that but I’m un inspired to do so now that I am constantly on social media. So I need to take her advice and get off for a while !
Every video is a travel to NY city... mostly for us who dont live in the US and always wanted 2 go there ... never been 2 NY but its a dream city... its the most beautiful urban city in the world... and the way people dress... its amazing...
The guy in the yellow and black has the most wonderful face. Such a nice soft spoken energy. This series is way beyond fashion. Absolutely love this series. You’re wonderful Karen!
I'm watching from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Oh My God. It's like the New York streets are the stage for all those people and fashion is indeed a GAme, or rather, a Play. All of them are brilliant, but I really enjoyed listening to Andrea, the girl with cropped jacket. Genius! Following you from the Balkans.
The sequins coat with the hot pink fur...I'm dead! I NEED IT!!!! The adorable girl at the end with the french bob and orange jacket....love her look...she's so cute!
I'm so loving these series! Everyone you spoke to looks so unique but I loved the people who wore colour. So vibrant which says winter doesn't have to be all black all the time. LOL! I also loved the scenery you chose to show and also when you made everything grey on the rainy day. Thanks Karen as this is a lot of work!
Seeing you and everyone interacting like we used to brings sheer joy. Update: before going to bed I had a strange sensation: It felt as if I had actually met the people you met, as if I had been walking through the streets, spotting cook people ... You series are a GIFT, a perfect remedy during lockdown. :-*
This is my favorite series! No joke I've had so many pieces in my closet that I'm now starting to wear and not save for a special occasion because of your channel 💚 I'm rediscovering myself and wearing things how I used to in high school...care free and expressing myself! I've suppressed it for a while but after an emotional couple of years I'm being myself again! Thank you Karen ❤️
@BinaryDigit Oh wow! That's amazing! So happy for you. It's incredible how much of an impact clothing can have for some of us - it can literally transform how we feel about ourselves.
OMG...THIS SERIES JUST GETS BETTER AND BETTER!!!! So many people had some very profound things to say about fashion and social media. I truly feel like no other place on earth celebrates one's individuality like New York does❣
The blonde girl with the green eyes? Are you sure? I googled her and she brown eyes on each picture. Both are stunning, though. Edit: ok, I watched it again and she literally said her name... sorry for questioning you xD (and her eyes are not green but more hazel or light brown.. so I was temporarily colorblind too)
I usually check how long the video is. I don’t like watching long videos. 15 minutes tops. I took a peep ... and I just couldn’t stop watching. Fashion, conversations, street view - perfectly choreographed! Bravo!
Also you showcased exactly why yellow is my favorite color. It just makes me so happy. How can you not be happy looking at anything yellow? It's warm and bright and cheery! 💛💛💛💛
14:45 The woman explaining how she's not her authentic self when she feels like she's "performing" for social media & it's standards is precisely why I'm taking a break from it myself. I can hella relate to her. I'm just living & seeking inspiration free from the hellscape social media has created. Namaste
everyone wears and promotes the same things. It is better to thrift and show unique things. People who can afford the most high end runway model type brands of course have unique things.
I live for this series. I just know on my next trip to NYC, you will stop me. If not, I'll be looking for you and running after YOU. Following you for years now, I can honestly say you've done the following: 1. Inspired me to love my own style that combines vintage, high/low, and ethnic!; 2. upgrade all my pieces; 3. embrace my maximalism; combine fem/masq, and dive into color!
Man..that girl in the dragon shirt. She really leave an impression!! Love her. Almost everything she was wearing was flipped into something else, she sees the beauty in odd things!

This is such a wonderful series, it’s not just the fashions, it’s the warmth and friendliness of all the people. Karen engages with them and makes them all glow, A joy to watch!
So inspirational Karen! You've inspired me in my late 50's (haha) - I am dressing like never before dresses with trainers!! that's a biggie for me. Thank you for your efforts. Really enjoying your channel. God bless,
I'm in love with this series. As a girl who always struggled with her weight and her tallness I always bought clothes that just fit me and nothing more. But in the past two years I'm slowly finding my style and trying new things. I'm still not quite there yet but this series inspires me so much! I'm looking at my clothes in a new way!
You must make these people's days by stopping them for this. I also love seeing the colder weather styles, always so much more interesting with all the layering. Keep it going, this series is the best!!!
It’s the absolute essence of New York , it’s a full head to toe Chanel and full thrifted . It’s all black and a rainbow of color . This is beyond what people are wearing in new York it’s an invitation to be who you are
Love love love love love! You have found your calling. Completely agree this should be a television series. I love the shots of the city mixed in, the voice over, it is perfect! Ready for prime time!
That Sequin Coat! Absolutely fabulous, and the individuals wearing black look great too Karen thanks again for another great New York Street Fashion Vlog!
These are literally my favorite videos! I live in NY and you give such a wonderful, charming, and insightful look into the town and the people. I hope I can meet you one day (just gotta be on my fashion game)!
I’ve been waiting all day for this video, it was so worth it. So many fabulous coats, patterns, designs, I’m going crazy lol. I loved the woman in all black that pulled out her gloves, she was so enthusiastic. Those doc Martins were everything. I love how she made a top out of her pants and painted and cut her leather jacket. I just cut my leather boots. His tuxedo suit was gorgeous, I would wear that along with the silk scarf. There’s so much to say about this video. This is therapeutic for me, thank you Karen. Xo
I love that your meeting of the people ends up boosting someone’s day with the unexpected compliment like the lady with the sequin coat. She was so happy. Made me smile ❤️
But also to you Karen, thanks for making this series! It’s like HONY meets fashion, and I love the mini interviews and how you engage people on the streets.
Just paused the video to comment. I have been battling an eating disorder for so long and I just realised while watching your video, that I never look at the bodyshapes or sizes of the people in your video. The way you convert with us is so engaging, talking about the colours, scenery and people. So beautiful. Thank you for that Karen 🙌🏼🥰
Can’t tell you how much I look forward to these videos Karen! Thank you so much for opening up a little bit of the world for us. Watching this before a 12 hour shift at the hospital. Setting me up for the day! 😘
Being quarantined I found your channel and I love it❤️ So inspiring and entertaining. I'm looking at all my clothes, purging and seeing how I can reuse them. It has also given me an appreciation of what we used to have...to be able to have contact with people and just walk around freely. I pray for that day to come back. Thank you for the fashion inspiration. Your new subbie😁
I’ve looked forward to episode 6 since last week. Karen, you are on to something here let me tell you. I appreciate your labor for the love of fashion and style. Also, you engage total strangers so effortlessly; it’s a gift. I’ve gotten some great layering ideas for the colder weather.
Netflix needs to sign you for a streetwear documentary ASAP.

Exactly! I’m here for the conversation, the clothes are secondary.
I totally agree
The mother of the child was rather rude. She wasn't even paying attention to you. But great video, Karen! As always. I love your energy.
I was quite happy to see a Turkish in the video (woman’s name was Turkish) but it went shameful :(
agree! she was on her phone. Sorry Karen, that was not very nice of her
She was obnoxious.
I thought I was the only one who thought she was rude. It was nice of Karen to keep her clip in the video.
She felt too secure of beign wearing channel she forgot Manners.

The artsy New Yorkers are actually nice. The suits are a whole other issue...

Most of the people in ny, are not from their. So that's also why they are not so rude lol.
They are all so happy to talk fashion. They spent so much time getting dressed 🎀

People are so cute! They get so excited to talk about their fun clothes.
