Ngl tho the only reason new SpongeBob his even somewhat funny is because of the absurd faces they make. But it's a rip off of the "freeze face episode"
Stephen Hillenburg will always be remembered for what he did for the world. His creations made me laugh and filled my heart with joy during my childhood. I'm glad that he was the one that started this show, Spongebob Squarepants. Gone, but not forgotten.
He still makes my friends and I crack up with references hahahah whenever someone makes the sound of squidward choking on his fork someone always responds with “SQUIDWARD! YOURE CHOKING!” And it gets us every time
@@DinoCoke Bugs Bunny maybe but there’s a new Scooby cartoon every few years. Mystery Incorporated was highly regarded and I’ve got it in my top 5 all time for cartoons.
Doing acid while watching those first three seasons was the most hilarious thing in my life. I swear I had to catch my breath because SpongeBob is built on punchline after punchline nonstop 😂
stephen hillenburg is a legend. he never got his flowers or his full credit for having such a major impact and influence on multiple generations of kids, adults and animation with spongebob. his hardwork paid off,he changed the world. r.i.p.
Two of my childhood birthday parties were SpongeBob themed because I was truly obsessed with the show. SpongeBob piñatas, SpongeBob themed plates, sporks, cups, table tops, cake, the full package. I still have those childhood party photos and even now as a 26 year old guy, still love those underwater creatures that made my childhood something that I will never forget. Thank you, Mr. Hillenburg 🙏🥲
Even if the show ends in the next few years, the characters of SpongeBob that we’re all going recognize them. I think we’ll be iconic for generations to come.
That mention of _"Sweet Victory"_ really got me going. I don't think anything can top that legend in my book. Merry Christmas, Fringe, everyone. Thank-you, Stephen Hillenburg and friends, for the best show ever!
Hillenberg's work on Rocko's Modern Life along with several of the same voice actors is unfortunately under appreciated. That cartoon was every bit as brilliant and clever as the first 3-4 seasons of SpongeBob. RIP Stephen, thank you for making my childhood awesome
Stephen Hillenburg was, is, and always will be, one of my biggest inspirations in the animation industry. He created a show that has truly stood the test of time and become a cultural icon on par with Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny, and one that was undoubtedly filled with love and passion in every sense of the word. The first 3 seasons still stand as some of the best episodes of any TV show ever, and it's hard to imagine what animation would be like today if it wasn't for SpongeBob. Thank you Stephen Hillenburg and rest in peace. You will live on in our hearts forever.
What A Surprise to see Scott Here! SpongeBob SquarePants will always be One of my Favorite Cartoons that I always love watching so much. Thank you Stephen Hillenburg for creating a Wonderful Masterpiece that always made us laugh and bought Joy to us all. You will always be remembered in our Hearts.
There are a few things from the early 2000s that instantly give me nostalgia but for me it's always been Nick and CN shows, ads in between shows, and the Cartoon Network theme. There's something with early 2000s Nickelodeon that will always have a special place in my heart because that was my childhood.
Weekends as a kid in the 90s were awesome! I can still remember staying up all night watching CN's Cartoon Cartoon Friday's and Toonami and Nick shows while also eating pizza and playing 90s computer games like Who Wants To Be a Millionaire and Paint with Gumby lol
I totally agree! It's hilarious but also feel-good because it was one of the very few instances (if not the only instance?) where Squidward actually wins and everyone's happy--well, with the exception of Squilliam, but he doesn't count. 😂 And "Sweet Victory" is still as amazing today as it was back then.
Despite the newer episodes having some issues, I still love this show and the characters Stephen Hillenburg, the voice actors and all the artists working in Spongebob made. There are quotes and episodes that will be in everybody's memory for a very long time. And remember! When in doubt, pinky out!
Same! Sometimes the new episodes were sometimes weird but they still make this show make me love it even more. Also Scott’s parents are way much different than my mom cuz she hates Spongebob (the character)
3 years, going on 4, and I am still upset about the halftime show. I'm glad they did it for the fans but for a lot of kids who are now adults Stephen Hillenburg was worth more than just a passing reference.
Spongebob has been around all throughout my childhood, and it was awesome, very funny too. Rest in Peace Stephan Hillenburg, you will be missed dearly.
Thank you Stephen Hillenburg for allowing a South African translation to the cartoon, I was wondering and scared that the characters and the translated language (this being isiZulu) was going to click, but, after warming up to it, Nickelodeon Africa was kind enough to allow the translation, and I must say, it was an instant hit (and a few misses)
To this day, watching many of these episodes as they premiered are great childhood memories of mine. I can still remember wheezing with laughter along with my brother as we watched episodes like the pizza delivery or texas. And I will never forget watching the band episode, and having my tiny mind blown by the big musical ending.
This used to be my favorite Nicktoon, but when Nickelodeon decided to make the change to nonstop reruns, I pretty much moved on to Danny Phantom. At least I can appreciate that to a degree, even though it was sort of poorly treated with a rushed 3rd season. Thanks nick, I hate you. Also, Merry Christmas Jordan!
But then again Danny Phantom ended right. Sure season 3 wasn’t that great and rushed but compared to other shows that didn’t get a finale like Catscratch, Teen Titans, etc at least it’s something.
The 90s were peak for cartoons, I'm telling you! We got SpongeBob, Fairly OddParents, Angry Beavers, Catdog, Aaaaaaaa Real Monsters, Zim, Rocko, Ren&Stimpy, plus wayyy more on Nickledoen and CN!
I remember as a kid me and my dad and sometimes even my mom would join me if I was watching SpongeBob, they used to tell me that it was the only cartoon that wasn’t too stupid so they were actually able to watch it and even enjoyed it
What SpongeBob did for me will be impacted forever. I think using the term reliable is right, it always just made me feel at peace with everything as a kid. Even though I watched and loved a lot of cartoons, as soon as that episode was over I would be looking forward to a SpongeBob rerun. I remembered tearing up after hearing that Hillenburg passed. He really impacted generations like everyone knows about SpongeBob. I’ll even say everything up to 2006 was really good. I wish it would go back to that same magic however a lot can be said if we can still watch the same old episodes over and over and love them just the same ❤ also Jordan you rock!

Yea. This show was my childhood. The first 3 seasons of this show are the best of any show every made. I’ll always be able to quote this show and remember it fondly. Always coming back to it once in a blue moon for the nostalgia, respect, and love for the show of my childhood.

Another Fringemas and Holiday season in the books! Thanks for the ride! Can't wait to do it all again in a year (of course I'll still be watching your videos throughout the year) Merry Christmas and Happy new Year to all!
What a wonderful way to end Fringemas! I learnt so much, remembered so much, and found so many new things to watch. Thank you for all of your efforts, Jordan. It's paid off beautifully. Now get some rest >:(
I feel ( in my opinion) that spongebob really started going down after the first movie, not off the back but very slowly still i have alot of wonderful memories of the older seasons of spongebob that i would love to rewatch again
I personally love all the seasons of the series and the first two movies (don’t care for the spin offs and haven’t seen the third film). It’s nice seeing some love given to the newer seasons, because I see a lot of hate given towards anything after the first 3 seasons (either seasons 4-8, or after), and while I understand why, I still find it charming, and love every season of the show, although I’m not going to dare pretend there isn’t some nostalgia blindness.
A good cartoon. Came out when I was 6. I watched it a lot growing up. Haven't seen too many newer episodes in the past 10 years. The older seasons are truly a gem. Newer episodes are good too. Thanks guys for this video and Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
I’ve always judged each episode of SpongeBob individually, without considering which era it released in. The success of this show wouldn’t have been possible without Nick taking a chance on it. Unfortunately it seems to have become Nick’s biggest cash cow now
Yeah our entire generation can quote the first few seasons, they were so impactful on our young brains. One of the best animated shows ever made, even if the newer stuff isn't up to par with the original stuff.
an interesting thing I learned about this show is that it was partly inspired by the album "The Mollusk" by Ween, which is a fantastic and creative and..bizarre album of psychedelic sea shanties I highly recommend. but it explains why they did a song for the show early on and Ocean Man is in the end credits of the movie.
I love being able to watch the older episodes with my 2yr old son and recite it word from word. He looks and gets so happy lol 😭😭 I thunk I am a bit bias to SpongeBob and love it!!
To this day, SpongeBob is ingrained in my heart and mind. It was the first show I ever watched, and growing up during the golden era of the series was magical. Those iconic jokes and scenes stay with you! And they still hold up to this day. I tried watching some of the new episodes and they just don't resonate with me as much as the classic ones do. Tbh I find the newer ones a tad annoying. But I still revisit the older ones and enjoy them even more, many years later. As a art major, SpongeBob really influenced me. The season 1 art style is wonderful, and the music in the series is timeless!! In the end, I really think SpongeBob is a show that shaped a generation ❤️
Seeing what SpongeBob used to be and what SpongeBob is now genuatly makes me feel sad and not because the show got bad, but because Nickelodeon has lost all of its shame and became the very exact thing it was criticizing in Mr.Krabs' character R.I.P Hillemburg :(
To be honest I love all parts of this show. I'm what I'd like to call "a true SpongeBob fan" even having seen much of the spin-offs I also adore the notorious 6th - 8th seasons with the 4th and 5th being my most nostalgic era.
Growing up being named ocean I fucking hated it. Being given rainbow fish books, ocean “blank” scented everything, any gift I got was aquatic themed and I hated it. But SpongeBob was one of the few Aquatic things that I clung to and loved.
Strangely enough, Ripped Pants is rarely quoted, despite having been played non-stop for friggen weeks while new episodes were made. I then didn't see the episode again for like a year.
My daughter loves spongebob shes 3 and I only buy her the vintage toys and shes got every plushie character. She has them all arranged in her room with spongebob artwork on the walls with lifesize stickers.
When Scott mentions that SB was a show you could show your parents and they'd laugh at rather than grimace at (Ren and Stimpy style) I immediately had a memory I wanted to share. I am in my 30s now putting my parents into their late 50s. I flew out to visit them for christmas last year and I remember waking up and going downstairs to see my dad in his La-Z-Boy watching spongebob unironically. He loves the show and I think that shows it's success from my perspective. He said it feels like the Simpsons before the simpsons got bad. It was just good humor. Anyways, thanks for the nostalgia trip.
The ending had me tearing up, further remembering the mass amounts of gratitude and respect that I have for Hillenburg 🥲❤ ...then the ending interaction between Jordan and Scott made me choke with laughter 😂
I remember when I first discovered this channel last Fringemas and was blown away by the truly well done videos. Glad I've made it through another Fringemas, and I hope to enjoy plenty more.
@@JordanFringe94 Definitely. And I'm looking forward to the latest videos. Maybe a dig back through the Disney library for Darkwing Duck? Or even older to cover something Hannah-Barbara like Wacky Races?
I don’t watch the Super Bowl, but even I know they missed a chance with “Sweet Victory” and they also had a chance to have Jesse and James begin their moto after the blackout.
Sadly,, probably what Disney is doing with James Earl Jones. They will probably use technology to splice different lines from Tom to make new lines. Example of this would be Toy Story 4 for Mr. Potato Head. They spliced Don Rickles's old lines to make new lines for Potato Head in TS4
I remember back in my childhood that Nickolodeon air Spongebob only for a whole week starting christmas until new year, damn it was such a memorable moment for that channel back in the day theyre only showing nothing but spongbob for a whole week in the holiday season
Love the channel man! Every time I see a video that says "Do you remember...?", I immediately say "OF COURSE I remember!" That said, do you remember the show Stanley? I loved that show as a kid! I wanted a great big book of everything soooo bad 📖🦁🐬🐻
And the second Fringemas came to an end with yet again Scott and SpongeBob i can see a pattern here so next Fringemas ends with the movies and Scott helping again (?) SpongeBob was a show that got me a reputation of being the guy who can quote memorable moments from seasons 1 to 3 from memory and this show in its golden age was one of my favorite shows, my favorite even with the clever humor and many visual gags they had it was really great. The movie was great and i got to see it in theaters when it premiered in Paraguay. Season 4 is still part of the golden age like for crying out loud Dunces and Dragons and Have You Seen That Snail are great specials i think that would've been a good ending for the show before...well the dark ages. Season 5 fell off a bit but then seasons 6 to 9a...yeah they screwed it BIG TIME with some good specials being a diamond in the rough. Sponge out of the water was a breath of fresh air and the resurrection of the show (seasons 9b to 11) Now about his death...man that was really painful to digest...and the third movie and spin-offs let's forget about them. It was a great journey again and funnily enough i finally decided to see your channel after you uploaded the first Fringemas ending with who else than Scott himself. Merry Christmas and happy holidays for you both and we'll always remember Stephen we'll always do
The amount of hours spent watching spongebob as a child has helped me learn German and escape the lunacy of the small town i grew up in. Its a nice place ...laughter and sunshine and bubbles...
My favorite character is Patrick Star. In fact when I was younger, I wrote a story of Patrick fighting Thanos (with all Infinity stones) BEFORE Infinity war came out. And actually made a parody of Bohemian Rhapsody in Patrick’s perspective
Anything SpongeBob related I feel it had and has left a Legacy that I think no one can stop or change at this point now so I am fine whatever comes out rather it breaks or not as a hit or miss etc. SpongBob is just so Legendary at this point I am happy but also kind of don't care what happens to it or what new people try to do it to change things because it had already left a big impact on me as a kid and now like Bill Nye the Science guy in a way.
No matter what nick does stephen hillenburg will always be remembered for what he did , no only did he change the world of animations but also change this world we live in

Seeing what SpongeBob used to be and what SpongeBob is now genuatly makes me feel sad and not because the show got bad, but because Nickelodeon has lost all of its shame and became the very exact thing it was criticizing in Mr.Krabs' character
R.I.P Hillemburg :(
To be honest I love all parts of this show.
Aye good ole Scott! Merry Christmas everyone see you all next year
I just watched cartoons in my childhood as they appeared, but I think spongebob is one I could say is among my favorites
My daughter loves spongebob shes 3 and I only buy her the vintage toys and shes got every plushie character. She has them all arranged in her room with spongebob artwork on the walls with lifesize stickers.
Its cool seeing Scott talk about a show with as much love and passion as he does when talking about games
You will be missed hellienburg your creativity will go on forever 😢
The SpongeBob movie was the first piece of SpongeBob media to come out in my lifetime because season 3 finished in the summer of 2002
Scott and Jordan are hands down my favorite TH-cam comp
Wow i am in my 30"s as we'll we're you born in 1989 just like me i been watching spongebob squarepants for a while
Hawaiian shirts & music a winning combination
The ending had me tearing up, further remembering the mass amounts of gratitude and respect that I have for Hillenburg 🥲❤
...then the ending interaction between Jordan and Scott made me choke with laughter 😂
I remember when I first discovered this channel last Fringemas and was blown away by the truly well done videos. Glad I've made it through another Fringemas, and I hope to enjoy plenty more.
Thanks so much for the support!
Help Wanted was SUCH a classic!!
“Stephen Hillenburg loved the ocean”
*makes lobster red instead of blue*
I always LOVED SpongeBob from the first three seasons to the newer seasons
This is what scares me the most. What would Nickelodeon do if Tom Kenny died?
It's best not to think about that.
And the second Fringemas came to an end with yet again Scott and SpongeBob i can see a pattern here so next Fringemas ends with the movies and Scott helping again (?)
SpongeBob was a show that got me a reputation of being the guy who can quote memorable moments from seasons 1 to 3 from memory and this show in its golden age was one of my favorite shows, my favorite even with the clever humor and many visual gags they had it was really great.
Sponge out of the water was a breath of fresh air and the resurrection of the show (seasons 9b to 11)
Now about his death...man that was really painful to digest...and the third movie and spin-offs let's forget about them.
Merry Fringemas Jordan! Spongebob is still my favorite cartoon of all time. Stephen Hillenburg is such a legend.
Wooo merry Christmas Jordan and Scott! You know Scott?! 🤩
Merry Christmas, Jordan and Scott!
Merry Christmas!
No matter what nick does stephen hillenburg will always be remembered for what he did , no only did he change the world of animations but also change this world we live in
SpongeBob was my last “childhood “show. I still love it though. I was 16 when it came out ❤️
Merry Christmas Jordan! Thanks for entertaining all of us all of this year. Keep going! And thank you for everything!
