    Good stuff, but for those who haven't seen it, the English / British version of this WSM is FAR superior to this one due to 1) Commentary by Colin Bryce and Danny Wallace, who have great chemistry, humor and personalities, esp. compared to the dry and impersonal commentary by the 2 Americans in this version and 2) The Max Overhead Press event, which was shown in a lot more detail and was awesome to see, esp. when Thor does his winning lift.
    The British versions of the WSMs are just generally more well produced and have much better commentary IMO. Miss Paul Dickinson as of late, but Colin Bryce and Danny Wallace have been doing a GREAT job over the last few years. So happy for Thor that he won this show and for winning against Eddie in the boxing match on Sunday. Eddie was great during his WSM days, but had become insufferably annoying and a bully who needed to eat humble pie, which Thor served him perfectly. Thor has matured into a class act and a very likeable guy over the last 2-3 years. Hope Eddie stops being an immature attention whore and gets back to being a respectable guy like he used to be.

    i need to ask, is the frame challenge and the atlas stones challenge not wrong?, so the frame challenge, is all of the frames the same in size/dimensions? or is it tailored to the size of the contender? cause a taller man will have an advantage over a shorter man, same for the atlas stones, if you are taller by lets say a foot, you dont need to lift it as high as a shorter person, right? if those pedestals are all the same size, a shorter person needs to lift that ball much higher than a taller person, just curious how this was setup, the jeep challenge is another thing aswell, is it the same thing to lift it 1 foot of the ground than to lift it 3 or 4 foot?

    • @MrSnakekaplan
      @MrSnakekaplan ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No they are the same objects etc for everyone.
      Tall people have disadvantages in presses, deadlifts and squats while short people have disadvantages in platforms etc. Even when Thor got to the deadlift you will notice the commentators say that he shouldn't be good at it because of his height.
      If you tailor events to people then your not finding the strongest person, you are trying to create equality of outcome.
      The end conclusion of equalising everything would make it comp of will power. Peoples differences is what creates their strength differences.

    • @MrSnakekaplan
      @MrSnakekaplan ปีที่แล้ว

      Thor/coach questioned it which is perfectly fine and the commentators did as well (full stream).
      Nobody likes having their lift questioned but ironically Brian Shaw just put out a video saying he thinks they need stricker refereeing.
      Regardless of the outcome it's important that people contest lifts that are questionable. It keeps the referee body transparent.
      When Thor contested his viking press reps in 2017 it cleared the air. Instead of having a million casuals saying he should have got the reps, we got a definitive ruling after the fact.
      Definitive ruling plus contestants been allowed to request them legitimises the sport.

    • @GRD211
      @GRD211 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrSnakekaplan There are ways to raise queries without having a tantrum/getting your groupies to do it for you.
      As for clarity, he still claims that Viking Press was fixed by Colin Bryce.
      If you're talking about the UK commentary, it isn't done live. Hence Colin Bryce can magically referee and commentate.
      On the broader point, officiating is becoming an increasing problem as its not improving with the rest of the sport. Brian was bang on.

    2 years later Kieliszkowski still lost to Hafthor at the Arnold Strongman Classic because of his poor deadlift. All he needed here was to come in top 3 in the deadlift event and he could've taken the trophy for Poland at 24. At ASC too, all he needed was to come in the top 5 to win and lost there as well.
    Man really needs to improve his deadlift. At strongman level, his deadlift is really poor, especially given how amazing he's at dynamic events.

    • @gotzvonunentberlichingen1452
      @gotzvonunentberlichingen1452 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That’s only somewhat true. The events he beat Thor on, he only won by microscopic margins(Trial by Stone) or because Thor just let him(Cyr Max Dumbbell). Thor was banking on Mateuzs placing below top 5 on the deadlift and saved his energy.
