It is a treat watching Baba Fareed being remembered and explained by Punjabi language expert Manzur. My mother, who was born and educated in Lahore, used to sing Baba's dohas , Waris Shah and Bulle Shah to me since I was just 10 years old. Her favorite was "Farida mann maidan kar". I didn't understand the depth at that time but now I realize that the reason why today I love all human beings, regardless of their religion, class, caste and creed. It is because of my mother and Baba Fareed ! thanks ! Ravi Khanna

Sir, I wanna ask a question. Why Baba Farid's kalam "Kagga sab tan khayoo" is in Hindi language when he was a Punjabi writer?

That verse is incorrect, it is simplified in hindi. The actual verse is "Kaga karang dhandoleya, sagla khaya mass, eh do nena mat chuhiyeo phir dekhan ki aas". In the 12th century hindi and punjabi didn't exist in the form they do today.
