started playing DKC2 on the SNES collection today, brought back so many great memories for me as it was the first Donkey Kong Country game I ever played...forgot about this great tune, was looking forward to hear Mining Melancholy again...but had to see what the remix crowd was like for this great song and found your remix...and its perfect!

The most relaxing song in the game, i feel emotional about this one in particular, so very fresh and delicate melodies, the most underrated song of the game for me. EDIT: whenever i play the levels with this lovely song, i play those in a very deliberate way to take as much time as possible finding the bonus rooms and the DK coins, i can't get enough of this song, i love it way too much!
You know, it's funny because for me , I always thought the song was way too basic but so many people wanted this one so I had to make sure it was special and that the violin was actually on point and real lol. I've been taking quite a liking to this song, if only to get some more diversity in my personal DKC music playlist (that is, to get more remixes that aren't of Stickerbrush Symphony or Forest Interlude haha 😃), and I'd say you definitely did it justice. Still that high seas-faring jauntiness, only more so! And once again, this sort of arrangement would not be at all out of place in the new Retro Studios games. There were like a million amazing remixes already done years prior to me doing my remake version. One thing I realized though growing up is that I could never find any video game song remakes or remixes that stuck close to the originals so this is why I decided to take the route in sticking as close to the original songs as possible while making it sound bran new. For the sake of people like me that want that nostalgia all over again.
Really great job on remaking one of my favorite stage compositions from DK2. It really sounds like something traditional from the country of Ireland or even something out of Scotland. Overall this remake sounds better than I would've even imagine.

A couple of weeks ago, I was stumbling upon another classic SNES game here on youtube I used to play back when I was 15 years old in the mid 1990s, "Power Moves". I could imagine how well you would do remaking those stage compositions.

No! They cannot do that. The first game was dark and realistic and what made that game so amazing was the evolution of the graphics. If they remake this game now it will not be half as good
