- GaMetal revisits Donkey Kong Country 2 for a full rendition of Mining Melancholy!
Last year I did a full version of a song that was in SNES medley, Ridley's Theme. This year I've taken another song from the SNES medley to do a full version of: Mining Melancholy from DKC2: Diddy's Kong Quest.
It's been a while since I did a song that was 'softer' almost all the way through. Coincidentally, the closest I can think of was Stickerbush Symphony back in 2011. (Edit: I was reminded of Zoness. My bad.)
May 2018 is over, but there's still one more remake coming before we get to some new stuff.... stay tuned!

Thats impressive as the original one is literally a sample of the minecart landing on the track from the first donkey kong game pitched in various way and then edited together to make a beat

I think that PPF has the closest version to elevating the original. However, this one is freaking sweet, just sounds so nice. Like them both

Beginner guitarist here, you don't know how often I watched this at 0.5x speed and tried to play along or learn the tabs. Still can't do this anyhow close, especially at regular speed. Great job dude

The opening with Super Shadow clanging metal was funny. He tries to hit a steel bar with the Master Sword and ends up dropping it.

3 years have passed, I have listened to many covers of my favorite song from the entire Donkey Kong saga and the hairs on my arm still stand on end when listening to the final part of this song. Without a doubt a work of art, the best cover of a Donkey Kong song I have ever heard.
