You are amazing! Alina is all business and it's fantastic how professional she is. It's not easy flying an open-cockpit aircraft into new areas. I am super-impressed.
I met Alena and William Scott when she arrived at Sun & Fun. A very accomplished teen with great support from Dad (William). As a future Aerolite 103 builder - flyer I appreciated their suggestions on Aerolite operations.🛩
Just came across your video's, what an amazing team, you are so lucky to have so many airfields to stop at for an adventure such as this, airfields in Oz are few and far between, an amazing young lady❤
It requires some courage to cover those distances in a small ultralight plane. Particilarly for a girl of her age. But she is already so dedicated, covering those serious distances solo. Chapeau! Learning flying an ultralight makes her aware of everything that happens in the sky. Like karting for future racing drivers. There is nothing childish on this kid. She is a treasure. I saw this beautiful 3 point landing! She is already becoming a celebrity! Oh, greetings from France/Holland.
Good on her- I was flying gliders at 14 and can attest that this foundation of learning to be responsible, follow the rules and push on to new experiences will serve her the rest of her life. Perhaps one day I'll be lucky enough to be a passenger in the airliner she's flying.
I have watched a number of her videos. Fun to watch, just praying she is getting continued training. I have been. flying 20 years and 3500 hrs, i try every year to fly with a different CFI.
@SMcda Thank you for watching and for your input. I am confident that Alina's Father will continue an excellent training program. Regards, Wayne Whitley
Nicely put together. Particularly enjoyed the maps and voice-over. Edited a treat too. While the in flight footage is exemplary, you really see how fast she is flying when it's combined with additional land footage. Video worthy of her remarkable achievement! Really enjoyed the spicy landing splices. And her greasers/shadow chacing are fun too!! Greetings from the UK.
@LovelyFish-wg1dq, thank you for your thoughtful comments and input. Alina and William are an exceptional example of how to safely learn to fly in an ultralight aircraft. Best Regards to you in the UK. Wayne Whitley

Saw her at airventure 2024 in oshkosh. I think she had to make 42 stops between sc and wi. She is awesome, and kudos to her dad for supporting her dream.
Stan, thank you for your comments. I appreciate your input and enjoy your wildlife videos. Keep up the great work with your inspiring stories of our wonderful National Parks. Best Regards, Wayne Whitley
That would be a BLAST, Alina is all business as she zooms around. The altitude she is flying, is she above the bug zone? If it were me up there I would prefer to have a light weigh flight helmet with a clear & a tinted lense opt, for Bugs or sun.
Wonderful to hear from you David. I always appreciate your input. Would be a great pleasure to meet you in person on our next trip to Europe if possible. Best to you and your family, Wayne
Didn't realize how dangerous these are till I Googled "ultralight accidents". Research from Australia suggested “Ultralight fliers are about six times more likely to die for every hour flown than if they flew in general aviation aircraft.” Good luck and stay safe.
Another great film, many thanks. Just a tiny thought, would it be possible to either add another radio PPT or move it to the right-hand side to avoid the cross-hands routine. Best wishes
@fredrikwergeland9531 Thank you for your comments and input. I agree, the more angles give a wider perspective. I will work on that. I like your work and enjoy the music thoroughly. Best wishes to you in Beautiful Sweden.
Hi Alena, What engine are you using? I assume its a 2 cycle? If it is what mix of oil and gas are you using? I assume your only using E free gas? What oil do you use with the gas ? Thank you.
I’ve been flying for over 45 years and would never fly an ultralight (I owned an Aerolite 103 many years ago) without a helmet. Why would a parent allow that? 🤔😳🙄
It is cool , but I can't imagine turning my kid loose flying one of those cross country ! There is a lot can go wrong , even for an expert. And she is 14? I am sort of surprised its even legal.
and probably a bit warmer. From my motorcycling days even at slower speeds the heat lost from ones head can really bring on a chill and now in retirement cycling at much slower speeds I value the protection of a crash hat.
Dad was telling her to take off from the taxiway which is not legal unless you have prior permission by the airport management. Additionally, why limit how much runway length and width you have in case of an engine out. That was dumb. Probably would not have gotten caught, but that's not something you want to teach a young person just starting their aviation journey. 🙄
RESPECT! to Alena, A great achievement. At 14 I was riding a bicycle around my village...

She's living her dream, and we get to share her joy vicariously. Thanks for the videos.
Wow, what a fun adventure for a very squared-away pilot, airplane and crew!
Nice job!
Thank you bro for all your help this weekend. This was a fun story to tell of an excellent pilot, crew and airplane.
Best to you, Wayne
Way to go Alina i really enjoy watching both you & your dad yous make a great team together happy flying & stay safe

She flue very well in her ultralight plane, great job.
Amazing vids guys...

Someone should buy that young lady an iPad, mount and a Foreflight subscription. Amazing story!
great video, Wayne.
you put a lot of effort and love into it.
always interesting and a great pleasure to watch

In a word Awesome!, looks like so much fun. I am looking into getting one of these aircraft. what was your average cruse speed ? Thanks for sharing

Its possible, but the ptt button routing would be more difficult or gets in her way.
Another great video! I would have preferred a few more camera angles, at least one looking forward, so we see what she sees.
Greetings from Sweden!

I will work on that. I like your work and enjoy the music thoroughly. Best wishes to you in Beautiful Sweden.
AMAZING !
Please, can you tell us how they are doing after the hurricane? Many thanks!
Impressive young pilot, I would have loved to fly at 14 ....
Can i ask what engine you are using on this ultra lite model???

Why don't you use always the A-R Sysrem, to have this camera so practical always available ?
What system is that?
@@williamh.scottv438 I don't know. This camera that looks everywhere
@@hartholz7015ah. I see. Thats the GoPro 360

Don't wanna be a Regal, afterall....
There is a cemetery at the airfield? :o
That would not be allowed in Germany.
That would be disturbing the peace of the dead.^^
Oh mother
Why no pics of her taking off and landing?
Why no helmet?
Not looking to be irregal!!!
Sounds like she has either a sore throat, a cold or both...
She was getting over a cold
Does she have a parachute?
No
No helmet????
I think she needs a helmet to be more protected.

Put a helmet on that girl
That Challenger ll is the only way to fly. No better Ultralight than the Challenger ll.
What Challenger II? Shes flying an Aerolite 103.
@@CatO9lives I realize that. In the Intro to this video it shows the 2 guys flying in a Yellow Challenger ll. It say Yellow Bird on it.
Does anyone else get even the slightest feeling that the teenager is being 'pushed' by her dad with the flying thing?
Might seem that way, but she appeared to be loving it to me and she is really good and confident. Bless her. Awesome video. Love it.
There’s always someone looking for a pushy parent, what child wouldn’t love this opportunity?
It’s called getting a life, don’t be a hand wringer!
