I think my biggest problem with girls is that I am legit oblivious and also was probably emotionally stunted as a young adult and teen. I’ve been told a few times that I’ve had people who were trying to drop massive hints or outright admired me, and I just never caught on. I got invited to a girl’s house at night alone, and she made me dinner. Showered while I was there lmao. I feel bad for anyone who was interested in me; I am a super goober who’s academically intelligent but can’t see romantic cues to save my life. I think I just was never really was into relationships or even consciously thought about girls all that much. But, if someone awkward like me can be appealing to a fair amount of women, then everyone has a chance. All I can say is be confident and be genuine and don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.

The reason girls try to be nice about rejection, is because when it comes to having guy friends as a girl, naturally we know that a guy we talk to will grow feelings for us at some point, it's just the way it is. We may really enjoy them as a friend, but we don't want to date said guy. Typically something a lot of dudes are bad at, is handling rejection. A lot of men begin to insult and trash on women, get extremely down and depressed and etc when rejected by a woman and or another man. So we try to be friendly about it the best we can when rejecting a man so it causes the least amount of damage to the friendship level that's been established. Would it be better to be honest and fully explain to someone why we won't go out with them? In some cases, surely. It's a high risk though that a lot of women just prefer not to take anyways. Is it fucked? Yeah, quite a bit I won't lie, but it's just kinda how majority functions these days
