Goku gets flak for being an idiot in non-fighting situations, but he’s an absolute genius in finding ways to win. That slide dodge into the Kamehameha was a thing of beauty, even better than the Instant Transmission Kamehameha he used on Cell. The kicker was the look of horror on Kefla’s face as she saw what was happening, and there was nothing she could do about it

Strength wise, not gonna lie jiren is a goat. But martial arts doesn't comes with only strength but lot whole other factors. Universe 7 didn't have just strength but everything like determination, trust and teamwork etc like that which jiren lacked and finally got him to his defeat.

Super's cast are just complete menaces. We got Jiren who wasn't moved at *all* by anybody but Goku (and Vegeta when he used Final Flash at max power), we got Roshi who proved that even if he's old, he can still smoke that pack. But Goku? He became weave nation president, point blanked Kefla with a kamehameha after using that same chargeup to dodge, reached MUI against Jiren simply because he was pushed to his upper limit thanks to that Zenkai boost.
