I love the guy who wants to "eliminate sweaty stuff from fgcs". Like Nephew said any game with a remotely competitive environment is gonna have people going for the most efficient and easiest wins. I played Dark Souls pvp for years and believe me in DS1 everyone just fished for backstabs because it was what worked the best, and that wasn't even close to a competitive game just the inevitability of multiplayer meta.
DS player here. Actually i kinda like ds1 broken pvp lol. In ds2, shield poke is unbeatable and dark fog + climax dear god. ds1 meta is probably shotel/estoc/gold tracer with dark bead, pursuers and combustion, and a lot of b a c k s t a b s. Probably the best pvp sistem in the series is bloodborne, ds3 is pretty passive.
@@anthonyfarias5076 Loved Bloodborne pvp. Easily my favorite of the series, the combat is straightforward but there felt like there was more build and weapon variety despite there being less options on the surface, I also loved how reactive it was with parries and fast healing. And I loved DS1 pvp as well. Have like 1000 hours of salty backstab battles on that game lol.
@@anonymousnate678 I'm playing bloodborne right now, I missed eileen defeating paarl so i basically have to go to ng to pvp, since my build is arcane/skill and that was the weaponn I was focusing to get. My initial experience with bloodborne pvp was getting one shot by dlc weapons, but seeing some videos showed what the pvp was: an aggressive, high damage game with plenty of builds and punishing mistakes, rather than a shield poke = win game.
@@anthonyfarias5076 Yeah I had a group that used to do fight clubs in chalice dungeons and we played with healing allowed since a well timed parry on the heal could get you a visceral and I remember having some epic duels in that dungeon. I also ran a Skill/Arcane build but I was partial to the Burial Blade because it's heavy attack was very versatile.
So all you gotta do is not get backstabbed. Wow. There are plenty of players who aren't gonna fall for backstab fishing. I love it when scrubs do that because what better gift is there than knowing exactly what your opponent is trying to do? Just don't let them do it lmao. Its not some unstoppable move that insta kills you. Fucking turn around and hit them. Move away from them. Whiff bait them. Git gud. Everything has counter play. So just like this optimal offense there is optimal defense.
The biggest fundamental thing people dont understand about fighting games is that there are TURNS in the game. They think they can just infinitely mash buttons and never defend.
9:17 Maybe we can have a fighting game where someone stabs 2 knives into the ground and equal distance from each other, each opponent placed his right heel against the blades and they just punch each other out
I'm glad the newer Mortal Kombat games have made the frame data readily available so that higher-level play isn't restricted to the turbo virgins who go through the tedium of figuring all that out the old fashioned way.
I wish they'd block out the slurs in the quotes. I get that we're considering these people shitty for using language like that I just hate it sometimes. Great video!
auto zoning / hitscan attacks in fighting games are ubertilting and lower the skill floor of a character that relies on them. -me, a salty Nagoriyuki player.
Im not scrub but these characters, in my opinion, should get some nerfs: Dhalsin Bison Guile(make Daigo play something else) Poison I strugle against those characters.
Gotta disagree on the juggling. Long combos are basically a singleplayer mechanic in a multiplayer game and even the MLG guys I hear discuss this agree that they're the shallowest part pf the game. I don't like it and it hasn't always been an inextricable part of the genre. I grew up on classic samsho where that kind of thing largely wasn't supported and it's still my favorite of all time. Kicking people while they're down isn't a real competition.
Saying "remove footsies from fighting games" is like saying "remove aiming from shooting games".
you'd be surprised
remove my opponent
So they just want to delete fighting games? Aight
Those free aimers are cheating!🤣
I'd probably be fighting for my life too if I had to play every fighting game on wifi lmao
It could be worse
I deadass saw an mkx player say "I hate when the opponent blocks my combo"
Used to the dogshit MKX netcode making it impossible to do anything on reaction. He must have been playing on PC where it's a laggy mess.
Favorite scrub quote: You only won because I lost.
That's my favorite too 🤣🤣🤣

How dare I learn how my moves work, how dare I learn when to mash out of block?
Whoever said that take about combos,anti-air and all of that should go to prison and to a psychologist
I got away with a win on Guilty Gear with just sweeps...It felt good.
Some of these are scrub-quotes from people who have no clue, but some quotes of from people who kinda know FGs, but are extremely salty.

If even just one person starts reading ScrubquotesX because of this video, Neph has done the FGC and gaming in general a valuable service.
