@Freerefill I was pretty annoyed when I saw the scene you are talking about, but after thinking about it later on, I totally get it. And I'd probably do the same thing.

    • @a7000zo
      @a7000zo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@Freerefill nah, he still was well aware of the danger THAT guy represented to the entire universe. He just had to because the film AND sequel needed to happen. They really messed him up in Infinity War. Then again, that entire movie was filled with plot conveniences that try to justify the omission of practical solutions, the most baffling of those being the "there is only one way we could win" bs from Strange, even tho the film presented various opportunities to kill him easily.
Infinity War overall annoys me. Might be a hot take but it is what it is.

I‘ve seen no one, who included that scene in their reaction, but my favorite scene is when Drax yells at Rocket where Quill is. It shows how much of a family they became. That Drax couldn’t just left without him. I think it’s bittersweet seeing Drac carrying for Peter like he was a brother. That he found a new family, considering his loss is very touching. I think the Guardians are far more a family then the Avengers are. The only scene where something similar happend, was when Widow got kidnapped and Clint didn’t wanted to fly away without her. But these two have a far bigger backstory together.

One of the reasons why I love Mantis and Drax is that she can give voice to how POWERFULLY Drax feels emotions, in my eyes they're both extremely pure characters. Just look at the scene where Mantis touches Drax as he's reminiscing of his family and she burst out crying due to the pain of loss, yet Drax seems stoic from the outside, and the part where they're laughing at Quill for liking Gamora and Mantis describes how Drax feels extreme joy out of the whole thing. It's easy to trust Drax because he's such an honest, simple guy.

As someone else mentioned, the golden cocoon at the end contains Adam Warlock.
The other Reaver leaders were, in fact, the original Guardians of the Galaxy members, including Yondu. His comics persona included that big red Mohawk, but he was an archer.
Mantis in the comics was more insectoid. If you think she's pretty now, you should see the actress in real life. She's stunning. Vietnamese/French if memory serves.
P.S. The original Starlord/Peter Quill was nothing like this. He was created by John Byrne and I used to have the graphic novel. He flew in an intelligent ship named "Ship."

Ego is one of my favorite villains in MCU. I kinda feel for him. He was a brain floating through space for thousands maybe millions of years. Just a consciousness floating aimlessly, so he invented a purpose, a goal to stay sane and he went to extreme lengths for it.

That was a great and sincere emotional reaction which is valid for such a heart warm Marvel movie my favorite Marvel movie. The reason why this movie is my favorite is not for the obvious adorable baby Groot or the tearjerker ending of Yondu but because of the literal and metaphoric example of killing your Ego to having a more healthier family relationship which was shown in many ways in the conclusion of this movie. I seen an earlier reaction of this movie today and you showed a stronger reaction which I appreciate and thank you, that I was able to relive this masterpiece with you and feel the deepness that it displayed.

I don`t really cry at movies. But when I went to see this in the theater and I got to Yondu`s death, I had to. My Dad passed away suddenly in his sleep in 2007 at 58 yrs old. As they were flying off the planet I could feel it coming, I knew what was going to happen. I tried to tough it out but I got to a point where it was "Ah, they got me" and I let it go.
You`re reaction got to me too, I just wanted to hug you if I may say. :)

My favorite Marvel movie & one of my favorite movies. This movie is so deep with every character, even small moments James Gunn made sure to touch every character and share their feelings, even Ravagers or his brother’s character being ashamed of the mutiny, to Drax being touched on the shoulder & seeing his feelings made physical, mantis being a completely new character who we shouldn’t care about this quickly has growth, to rocket and yondu moments, nebula & gamora, obviously Quill. Never have I seen a movie reach and grow all of its characters, and I hated this movie the first time I seen it lol not to mention how beautiful it is with practical and amazing cgi with one of the best openers of a movie.

So, it's doubtful you recognised how many well known celebs played the Ravagers/Original Guardians from the '69 comic, so:
    Sly (obviously) was Stakar Ogord/Starhawk
Michelle Yeoh played Aleta Ogord/Starhawk (married Stakar, and both merged into a single superhero, Starhawk)
Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor from Smallville) played Martinex (the crystal Ravager)
    Ving Rhames played Charlie-27
    and
Miley Cyrus was the voice of Mainframe, the robotic head that had one line, "I missed you guys so much!"
Edit: before anyone jumps on it, yes, I straight up copy/pasted my own comment from Duo Reacts that I posted yesterday.

Yeah, that's the thing about Kurt Russell (Ego), he's so damn charming that you really do wanna trust him even when he plays a bad guy ;) Just like the 1st movie, this one had a perfect balance between the humorous and the emotional feel and I love this one as well!
