Also The original Betty In Ang Lees Hulk Movie!
Side note! Marvels Studios Incredible Hulk started off as a sequel to the Ang Lees 2003 film as the script was being developed at Universal at the time. (This is why the film Starts in South America Which is where the 2003 film left off)
When Marvel Studios took over The wanted to re-brand it with a new cast to distance it from the 2003 film. However on the DVD Director commentary Director Louis Leterrier said that he actually loved the 2003 film and that the Intro to the film can be interpenetrated in 2 ways...
      1) That it takes place after the 2003 film and that the intro was one of the many times that Banner tried to Cure himself.
      2) Hulks MCU Origin in a brief Flashback
Producers Anne Hurd and Ava Ari say that it`s a loose sequel
Marvels Kevin Figie says it`s sort of a Requel as in it`s a reboot / Sequel but when dont really associate with the 2003 movie in recent years he`s been quoted as saying that the 2003 film is not part of the MCU.
I personally see it as a stepchild of the MCU It`s not connected but kinda is, as it gives Hulk an Origin movie and sets up the Incredible Hulk.
Oh wait we are here for Spider-Man LOL

The Incredible Hulk (2008) is considered a 'loose' sequel of Hulk (2003). As both characters of Bruce Banner and Betty Ross were recast for The Incredible Hulk (2008), and we only hear the voice of Karen (Spidey's suit) but you don't actually see her face, Jennifer Connolly can get away with providing the voice of Karen in Spider-Man Homecoming.

Peter’s High School Principal is the grandson of one of the Howling Commandos from Captain America The First Avenger. They’re played by the same actor, Kenneth Choi, and there are pictures in his office of his grandfather and the other commandos. Spider-Man is probably the most relatable superhero. Aside from having superhero problems, he also has REAL problems. The kind of problems you and I face everyday. Running out of money, he's failing his classes, very few friends and not particularly close with any of them. For most people, super powers are the only difference between them and Spider-Man.

I've never related to Peter Parker. I mean on paper I should but I just have never cared. I've never bought into the character. The times I do like Spider-Man as a character is usually when it's not the typical classic Spider-Man. Like Peter in the MCU is interesting, the Spider-Man: Life Story series is amazing and I'm currently playing the 2018 video game and those are all really good to me but it's BECAUSE it's a different take than the by the numbers "woe is me look I have all your problems except I'm better equipped than you in life anyway" take. 1: You're misunderstanding Toomes. He never wanted revenge. Just to make money with his work and have a life with his family. Since he got screwed over when working legally, he turned to illegal work. So he's not a good guy, but not a monster like many of the other villains. 2: As for MJ, that's just who she is. Everyone seems to be missing the point: it isn't about Obi-Wan or Spider-Man surviving a fall into water. It's about everyone reacting to it like it is reasonable for just anyone to survive from those heights into water, as though someone can go an jump from a plane or something high up and be perfectly fine as long as the land in water. It's also clever to have him be a figurative 'vulture' harvesting leftovers from the huge battles the Avengers fight, but under the radar so that they never bust him. He's a low profile, working-class supervillain, just as much as Peter is a working-class superhero.

Exactly. He's just trying to get by in a world where regular people still get shafted by the rich and powerful, like Tony Stark, so he takes on the Vulture persona to pick at the carcasses of alien tech that no one else wants, and takes what he can use to survive.
Nothing evil about that. Are his actions selling weapons to randoms questionable? Certainly, but the fault lies in the Capitalist system that oppresses working-class guys like him. If a government sells weapons, it's A-OK, but when the poors start to horn in on that racket, then it's immoral and wrong :/

@@Lurch685 a lit of people feel that way. Note that (in his chat with Spider-Man) Toomes didn't mention capitalism, but did reference the folks who never get their hands dirty. Tony actually does, even if he started out as a playboy; the second time we see him in the first movie he's rebuilding an engine.
Also recall how Toomes' crew was treated at the start of the movie; he invested all his money in disaster recovery, and those nimrods blew him off. Setting aside BS relativism for a minute, he doesn't see himself as evil. He feels hard done by, and he's trying to make a better life for his family, albeit illegally.
Also note that when he figured out who Peter was, he repaid our arachnid hero by not killing him. He's just ruthless when it comes to his family. His sense of fairness is shown at the end when he denies knowing who Spider-Man is. He's not evil, just shades of grey. It's this sense of fairness that motivated him at the start of the movie; they weren't fair to him, so he ignored many of the rules.
P.S. My guess is we'll never see Liz again, so that's a dead end.

Well, I think we all know by now that an actual kid HATED being called a kid, or being treated as one.
That's probably the reason why they do some crazy shit, because adults tend to treat them like they're "just a kid", they feel like they don't earn enough respect as a person, that's why they feel the need to prove themselves.
So adults who look down on kids by calling them "just a kid" are partly to blame for their stupid behavior.
And THAT happened to be the message this movie tried to convey.
    Just a food for thought.
