    Brother you saved me such a headache. I have a Stradic 2500 so it's not identical but the springs in the ARC we're giving me so much trouble I didn't know how they went in. Thank you so so much! Subscribed forever

    Bravo.)) My Stradic 4000 FL is now like new. Today's fishing was like a fairy tale. I added a roller from Gomexus and it's perfect. Greetings from Poland❤

    Excellent videos friend, thanks for the content! I have used your videos to maintain my Stradic 5000 and my Daiwa BG5000. They have been very useful to me. Greetings from Venezuela!

    usually 2nd hand reels bring one or two less parts. Positive thing about it is that they still work and become lighter.

    What screwdriver/tool were you using to break down the reel?

    • @solunaranglingconfidante417
      @solunaranglingconfidante417  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Some cheap multi head screw driver I bought on shopee/aliexpress. For most part its ok but for smaller screws especially size 000 and below, a good quality screw driver will do wonders.

    Great video man, very instructional. Do you work for a reel manufacturer? I recently greased all the components, including inside the shielded bearings within the line roller assembly. When i did this, it was very sluggish when reeling in a lure. was i not suppose to grease inside the bearing? Even oil doesn't allow the bearing to spin very freely. It is not until the bearing is completely dried out that it spins well. What should I do?

      @@coolerfullofish greasing bearings (either inside or outside) of small machines including fishing reels is not recommended. The grease will make the bearings sluggish. However if it became necessary to regrease a small bearing, you only have to put a very small amount, like the size of three sesame seeds, and then before you put on the shield, place a few drops of solvent (usually alcohol or sewing machine oil. Not wd40) and give it a few spins. Then close the shield. You should be good.

      @@solunaranglingconfidante417 Thanks for the intuitive reply. Ive never heard of adding alcohol to the bearing instead of oil. I would think that would dry up. It could help break down any residual grease inside the bearing and thus freeing it up a bit.

    • @solunaranglingconfidante417
      @solunaranglingconfidante417  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@coolerfullofish correct. The alcohol will dry out. The purpose of the alcohol when servicing a bearing is as a solvent, not as a lubricant. The alcohol will dilute the grease just enough for the grease to be displaced from the balls. Maintenance of bearings is done by adding a few drops of oil now and then. For small bearings, a light oil with/without solvent is good enough. For bigger bearing, a slightly thicker oil might be needed. However for most fishing reels size 20000 and below, products such as corrosion-X, ardent butter, shimano or daiwa oil and such are good enough.

      @@solunaranglingconfidante417 Okay yeah, I was hoping to find ways to service some of my sealed bearings without breaking the shield. I may just have to try soaking my penn international 50 bearings in ISO since they are sealed and also have a plastic backing. I may try CRC brake cleaner in the red can as well, but im not sure how safe it is with plastic.

      @@coolerfullofish Im not sure but I think it should be ok. Just try soaking one of bearings and go from there.

    excellent video! I have the same reel in the same size. I can see on my reel some spool play up and down when drag is tightened. Maybe 1-2 mm. Is it normal? Do u have the samme on your reel?

    Hi my fl is a 4000 size. If i buy the 5000 spool which fits the 4000… do i need to purchase a drag cap for a 5000 also? Or will my drag cap on my 4000 work?

    I've noticed that on the plastic side at the front there is a small grey half circle seal that sits inside the reel close to where the pinion bearing goes , I haven't seen you identify it and am unsure why

      @solunaranglingconfidante417  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah in disassembling segment I didnt notice the seal. Later I did mention it in reassembling segment. Too many seals to notice😂
