Hello Everyone, didn't think I'd need to make an update so soon, as of Today 7/1/24 Offline progression has been enabled which was previously not available. This means you can earn ingame income from playing the offline game mode. In addition to that, players will earn a 10% boost on income earned on multiplayer lobbies. Happy Chasing!
@@diegplaysgameslol kinda thinking abt playing this game but I have no idea how to read storms I have seen ur guides about what u should know on how to find storms but I still have no clue what ur talking about with those things so I’m just so clueless 😭unless I’m just not smart 😂
FYI, in the real world of radar, Green is moving toward the radar, red away. Not YOUR position per se. I got the game yesterday and like it. Also a trained storm spotter IRL.
I actually mentioned that in my part 2! Thanks for clarifying here! Yeah I love the work you guys do! Been wanting to be storm chaser my whole life but this will do for now
Dude you got this, next one for sure! Keep an eye on those reflectivity hooks 🪝 they are a great way to predict where the tornado is if you can’t see it because it’s rain wrapped or otherwise.
@@diegplaysgames I knew it was close had a lot wind an I could hear it but just couldn't see it if I stay out from location I was in I would had direct hit but I went up the street a bit an missed it
Looks interesting and I am not usually a graphic nit picker. But I do feel if they made the clouds and tornados a little more realistic that it'd be more immersive and cool
They’re continually refining the cloud seeding and randomizing potential of the game and optimizing the game performance for mid and lower tier pcs. The devs seem like a really solid team so I’m hopeful!
@@diegplaysgames yeah right now I think theyre perhaps too transparent. lacks that physical presence and also could do with some contact debris spinning around the base!
I like to pretend that I'm paying for both the car and the ungodly amount of insurance I have to take out on it to be comfortable driving up to tornados like I do XD
@@AutumnPeir yeah velocity can be tricky. Best practice I use is to keep your road options open. Choose strategic intersections or cities with multiple routes to different storm systems to look for signs of rotation if nothing is happening right away.
@@diegplaysgames Like I look and try to find a couplet, but what I think is a couplet isn't. XD Like I'm not 100% sure lol. So I tried using the energy radar, and managed to drive myself to a tornado.
Great question. That depends on 2 factors. 1, is the storm large enough to produce tornadoes without needing the fuel to intensify via CAPE. 2, Is there enough windshear to cause it to rotate into a supercell. Look for markers in reflectivity and velocity to get a feel of Storm strength and size, then look at windshear to determine if the storm has potential to rotate. If all the stars align you should be in business.
@@diegplaysgames hey just another question, what customisation should I get for my car first? Would it be antennas, camera’s, or should I get other things or even probes?
@@burrito9603 Another great question. At the moment all vehicle upgrades are strictly cosmetic. So there isn't a "best" one yet as they haven't introduced practical features in most, if you're gonna do anything with the car. the hail cage or plexiglass is the most practical. As far as probes, the "bucket" probe is the best as it captures the highest windspeeds. However per the Devs themselves, it wasn't an intentional feature so it may get hotfixed out or patched out. So for the moment the best things you can purchase are hail protection / Bucket probe. The strobe lights also work but don't really add anything but flashing lights which is cool for sure. Hope this helps!
@@darkracc00n59 great question! Yes clicking the “left click” on your mouse will report the tornado, in the same way you hold left click to take the picture! Sorry for not mentioning in the video
Dev's are aware of the issue especially if you're on a lower-end PC. They are optimizing the game continuously through post release updates. New technology am I right?
@@diegplaysgames I’ve got a bug report out for it. My system isn’t top of the line but it’s no slouch either. The game ran on release but since the first set of hotfixes it hasn’t worked
Yeah that sucks to hear. For some reason I had issues installing it on my SSD, but my HD was fine. But like… why the hell couldn’t it be installed into my SSD? I want it in my SSD! 😂

Instead of leaving you can also stick around, there's more than 1 tornado on the map and it can last a hour and a half for some scenarios.
Yes that’s true! Thanks for adding that I forgot to mention

Great video definitely going to help I chased few storms an they always die before tornado forms or by time I get to the tornado it dies

My pleasure. A follow-up for probe deployment and driving tips is in the works!
Even with this, I'm still confused with velocity. XD

If there's no cape signature where a storm is, is it still worth chasing?
