zevi100 Eurotuner went to a flat desert with it. Go to the 034 Motorsport Channel and search for GTI-RS and you´ll see that they also do other stuff with it =P
nacho colon people like you always get laughed at when saying crap like that at car meets. im no VW fanboy, never owned one, but theyre not garbage and can make great power just like almost all brands. hit the books noob
that's really cool and all.... but how does it handle? it has to be terrible unless you weighted the front end down with something... but if you had to weight it down, that would defeat the purpose of having all that power at the rear wheels. it's still awesome though lol... and it sounds incredible!
I had the same idea, but with a Honda Civic Hatchback. It will be The Muscle Car Killer. It'll have a Lexus v8 engine with a sequential turbo setup and a couple more mods. I'd probably take the suspension from a Porsche or something and upgrade the CPU.
Correction: RWD, Audi (not 996) drivetrain. But 034 Motorsport did have to engineer and produce their own output shafts after this thing mangled the stock ones.
Actually, he's an accomplished driver, with quite a few SCCA victories under his belt and would likely drive circles around most of the people who will read this. He's also 034 Motorsport's service dept. manager and test driver, just in case you'd like to swing by their shop and offer him a few pointers.
I think the dahlback golf was on a whole nother planet...as far as engineering.... they destroked a 2.5l inline 5 to 2.1l so just so they could rev the bag off it... and they still made 1200hp in the end. Plus they removed a lot of VW sheet metal and replaced much of the body with carbon fiber..... that thing is a beast.....
+Chimera Gaming R u serious dude? WTF?! WTF?!?! WTF?!?!?! Who watches a video that has some calm music in it to go with it and asks what the song is called? Its probably just the same minute or two of music played a few times anyway. Lol what an 11 yr old
@coco1999moi As far as I knew, it's only used as a cooler. And would have a separate tank for your w/m injection. If that's what you're talking about. It would be silly to use your charge cooler for a w/m storage because it gets drained as it is used.
@speedfreek5h3n its just personal preference and when tuning to this level it doesnt matter what the chassis is like because all most all of it will have to be changed anyway
They veyron would smash it in the long run though, mainly because they have veyrons that have 1100 HP so having 300+ on the VW GTI sorta secure's it's victory in the end.
Okay, I get it, it's a camera shoot, and they're on a dry lake bed (El Mirage north of Los Angles). The dust on dry lake beds gets into *everything* and make a real mess (first scene they're using compressed air to clean out the car). Okay, fine, but a video of a still photo camera shoot sort of misses the point on TH-cam, don't you think? How about another video of it out on the road?
My bad.... its not all aluminum..... I was under the impression it was a 3L aluminum V6 its an iron 2.7T. I now know this because i GOOGLED IT and i also read the description.
im still learning so dnt make fun of bcause of this question :(. How can u make upgrades on your engine like in this video w/o changing the exhaust sound? can anyone please answer plz! ty. I cnt hope i can get a r32 :)
I beg to differ. Your talking about a Car with 800hp that weighs under 3,000lbs vs a car with 1,000hp that weighs over 4,000lbs. The numbers are in favor of the GTI. It would be a damn interesting race.
034 Motorsport is a tuner that specializes in VW's and Audi's. Hence Toyota's and Lotus' are not a medium in which they would practice their "art". When they undertake a project like this, they do so to showcase their engineering, fabrication, and production capabilities, not to rack up TH-cam hits. GTI-RS wasn't cobbled together by some dude, with a distorted perception of cost/benefit, in his garage. If you're impressed by the car, their web site might raise an eyebrow or two, as well.
@dolomitelax While I think it would be a closer race than you think, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for a second, just so I can say that the car also took countless hours of planning and ALOT, ALOT of custom fabrication to make that work. Your bike, was made in a factory. Congratulations.
@CauseThe Yeah Bmw is one of the only family owned companies still around right? A kid I go to school with (Savannah College of Art and Design) his Dad owns a healthy share of the stock and is family to the original people. His parents paid for a very popular music band to come to our school and play, he is from Germany. He drives a m5.
and you Really KNOW this is an R32 saying that ''the chassis still needs the space in the chassis in order to fit a rear diff)''... its a GTI all cutted and transformed to fit those porsche transmition. it is a mixture of everithing... v6 turbo audi s4, porsche 911 turbo breaks, suspension and transmition, r32 seats and steering wheel, audi TT pedals (the R32 have other pedals that says R' with dots instead of dashes'), ALSO , the fucking bumpers and sideskirts are not from and R32,
doubt that.... kinda dont think youd get the power to the ground. Kinda also dont think you have an 800hp VR..... or at least the same power to weight..... or do you tink a pig heavy nosed MK1 will corner as well as a car capable of angular velocity?
@buttonsmeow12345 My god man, did you even read the description or watch the actual video before talking shit? Just the amount of engineering and simple hard work that goes into creating a vehicle like this deserves a great deal of credit. 034 has an outstanding reputation. You may not like VW's or the apperance, but if you really know a damn thing about cars and have an ounce of maturity, you must give credit here. Must be jealous.
dude for reals....? Its the S4 engine thrown in the back, a 2.7 biturbo.... I called it the Golf 911 turbo because of the shoes its wearing and its obvious relocation of engine to the rear.
I dunno, according to 034's web site, this car has made 1000hp (and yes, they have their own 4 wheel dyno, in house). Check out their video of this thing twisting the output shafts in its 996 rear end apart like warm croissants. The Bugatti might take it on top speed. On the track, however, my money's on this little bastard.
this is very similar to Dahlbecks mid engine RS4 powered Golf minus that the Dahlbeck Golf is more powerful and much more insane and much more race oriented...
1-builds a 800hp v6 car;
2-goes to a flat desert where people test fast cars;
3-stays put, taking pictures of the car...
with your photo that was funny!
hahaha i was waiting for some donuts or something but noooo
zevi100 Eurotuner went to a flat desert with it. Go to the 034 Motorsport Channel and search for GTI-RS and you´ll see that they also do other stuff with it =P
4-because Vw is junk!
nacho colon
people like you always get laughed at when saying crap like that at car meets. im no VW fanboy, never owned one, but theyre not garbage and can make great power just like almost all brands. hit the books noob
Just read the article, very nice, hard to believe this thing was totaled.
Cool car, but that is some of the worst camera work I have ever seen. What is with all the random close-ups.
Both the "you are" and "You're" are correct, you no longer need to fight about it.
Yep.
I'm running a number of their parts on my 1.8t - NO issues, only performance.
that's really cool and all.... but how does it handle? it has to be terrible unless you weighted the front end down with something... but if you had to weight it down, that would defeat the purpose of having all that power at the rear wheels. it's still awesome though lol... and it sounds incredible!
Now THAT'S a proper GTI
MK1 Golf would have made my day, but this is still cool.
I had the same idea, but with a Honda Civic Hatchback. It will be The Muscle Car Killer. It'll have a Lexus v8 engine with a sequential turbo setup and a couple more mods. I'd probably take the suspension from a Porsche or something and upgrade the CPU.
DAMN, thats a big intercooler.
Correction: RWD, Audi (not 996) drivetrain. But 034 Motorsport did have to engineer and produce their own output shafts after this thing mangled the stock ones.
That's got to be one of the biggest teasers I've seen lol.
Definitely insane though.
996 turbo wheels, drive axles, and rear suspension.
The details of this amazing car can be found on the 034 Motorsport web site.
there is a strong need to drive this beast.
Actually, he's an accomplished driver, with quite a few SCCA victories under his belt and would likely drive circles around most of the people who will read this. He's also 034 Motorsport's service dept. manager and test driver, just in case you'd like to swing by their shop and offer him a few pointers.
I'd like to see the dyno sheet to prove this tiny V6 makes 800hp
@the0918ronniechris go to 0:55 See that shiny box? It's called an air to water charge cooler.
much more efficient than a straight air intercooler.
I may be a honda guy... but I always loved the GTI's!
I think the dahlback golf was on a whole nother planet...as far as engineering.... they destroked a 2.5l inline 5 to 2.1l so just so they could rev the bag off it... and they still made 1200hp in the end. its a 2.7T out of a B5S4, bored out to 3.0L with a single turbo. Its got a 911 rear subframe
I don't think 034 will ever stop amazing me as far as a company is concernced.
great. do you have more videos?
Dahlbacks engine is not a RS4 but a five cylinder 2.1 litre Audi turbo unit.
Whats that shiny box between the turbo and the intake manifold? Is it just a cover for the throttle body? Thanks
The car in this video began "life" as a 2001 GTI. A detailed account of its transformation can be found on 034 Motorsport's web site.
I'm pretty sure I saw this running at sac raceway at the test and tune last year.
sooo I'm curious what is the actual weight distribution...also I assume they went with Rwd, but personally 4wd would be really cool..
What is the name of soundtrack?
+Chimera Gaming its name is: suckass-soundtrack
+Doge Cate Can you give me the link please? I can not find it...
I really dont know what it is, sorry :/
Ducati Ltwin ??
+Chimera Gaming R u serious dude? WTF?! WTF?!?! WTF?!?!?! Who watches a video that has some calm music in it to go with it and asks what the song is called? Its probably just the same minute or two of music played a few times anyway. Lol what an 11 yr old
"Moves under its own power, impressively" would be more accurate.
First secs of video: they clean the car, last ones: he get it dirty!
@coco1999moi As far as I knew, it's only used as a cooler. And would have a separate tank for your w/m injection. If that's what you're talking about. It would be silly to use your charge cooler for a w/m storage because it gets drained as it is used.
where's the intercooler?
800 cv but no showing in video
ultimate sleeper
@speedfreek5h3n its just personal preference and when tuning to this level it doesnt matter what the chassis is like because all most all of it will have to be changed anyway
Beyond SICK!!! VW FTW!!!
@activenetzwerke It's not have you ever seen a vr6 quattro?
Where can I get those seats?...
they have a audi s4 with a vr6 engine too
They veyron would smash it in the long run though, mainly because they have veyrons that have 1100 HP so having 300+ on the VW GTI sorta secure's it's victory in the end.
My school did something like this with a Ford Five Hundred sedan
. . . not on the track, he doesn't. It was a magazine photo shoot, after all. Check out some of 034 Motorsports' videos of this car.
hows the engine sound interior? loud?
Okay, I get it, it's a camera shoot, and they're on a dry lake bed (El Mirage north of Los Angles). Straight.outta Fremont yeeeee
When can we do this to a civic with real quality parts like this one. Or an integra which looks like it eas meant to be rwd besides the de
Trailer Queen.
Golf mk4 v6 arrière je la veux en plus il y a un super gros turbo hummmm très bien
I see no intercooler?
The intercooler is that big metal box in front of the engine.
Thats 1 damn big son of a... TURBO! ^^
whats the track called?
Since when, a S4 is a V6 single turbo?
I have one, and is a V6 biturbo...
Does anybody know the track/music ?
what the name of the song
Sick car, not so sick camerman/camera..
nice porshe rims
Amazing fucking car :) Nice work guys
Look up hennessey venom gt, that's a 1,200 horsepower Elise. (or what use to be an Elise anyway)
My bad.... its not all aluminum..... I was under the impression it was a 3L aluminum V6 its an iron 2.7T.
I now know this because i GOOGLED IT and i also read the description.
im still learning so dnt make fun of bcause of this question :(. How can u make upgrades on your engine like in this video w/o changing the exhaust sound? can anyone please answer plz! ty. I cnt hope i can get a r32 :)
without that turbo the horsepower would drop like madddddd
I beg to differ. Your talking about a Car with 800hp that weighs under 3,000lbs vs a car with 1,000hp that weighs over 4,000lbs. The numbers are in favor of the GTI. It would be a damn interesting race.

the 2.7 doesn't look the same without the Y pipe
All I heard was that turbo whistling :)
is this car roadlegal?
@dolomitelax While I think it would be a closer race than you think, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for a second, just so I can say that the car also took countless hours of planning and ALOT, ALOT of custom fabrication to make that work. Your bike, was made in a factory. Congratulations.
Porsche wheels?
Porsche is VW!
+Ankhnybayar Battulga so is bugatti, bugatti is also a Volkswagen.
+Rodneyy Beenzz lamborghini too
@CauseThe Yeah Bmw is one of the only family owned companies still around right?

@s3rojito you're right it's a GTI..... with
@Alejandro Bello i have a roof rack on my bigwheel (basket glued to helmet)
that sound
and you Really KNOW this is an R32 saying that ''the chassis still needs the space in the chassis in order to fit a rear diff)''... its a GTI all cutted and transformed to fit those porsche transmition. it is a mixture of everithing... v6 turbo audi s4, porsche 911 turbo breaks, suspension and transmition, r32 seats and steering wheel, audi TT pedals (the R32 have other pedals that says R' with dots instead of dashes'), ALSO , the fucking bumpers and sideskirts are not from and R32,

or do you tink a pig heavy nosed MK1 will corner as well as a car capable of angular velocity?
Nice stance @ 2:23.
I don't think that's necessarily true. I've never tried to fit an S4 engine in my GTI, so I don't know. But they did this to make it a RWD car.
thumbs up if you thought at 1:16 the scene was going to change to the car driving across a sunset
@buttonsmeow12345
My god man, did you even read the description or watch the actual video before talking shit? Isn't this the one that got stolen recently?
They're clearly just doing promo shots geared for maximum eye candy; I'm sure they have other videos where they crack it open and use all that power.
it says RWD in the beginning of the clip.
dude for reals....? Its the S4 engine thrown in the back, a 2.7 biturbo.... I called it the Golf 911 turbo because of the shoes its wearing and its obvious relocation of engine to the rear.
He has got the same rims as i have but he has taken the original emblem off
Not half bad!
Very nice
reminds me of the VW W12 GTI :)
It was just since that you didn't make it clear that it was the Mk. 5 that you meant :-)
I dunno, according to 034's web site, this car has made 1000hp (and yes, they have their own 4 wheel dyno, in house). yayyy even less traction in the front :)
i love how they had to put the engine in the back because its was too big for the bonit
I KNOW, right? You should race him, some time. lol
@crzykorean the same way you get 1500 Hp of a V6 (Nissan GTR)
this is very similar to Dahlbecks mid engine RS4 powered Golf minus that the Dahlbeck Golf is more powerful and much more insane and much more race oriented...
Puzzles me how this GTI gets so much HP with such low weight compared to the veyron lol
i love how they had to put the engine in the back because its was too big for the bonit.
they come with the R32
Songname ?
Do it to my mk6 GTI PLEASE!!!!!!
Because its probably around 30k to build that, where it would be around 100k+ to buy that.
@blackjacket123 good taste for a honda guy thats for sure
