My reasoning for the existance of Iron Man's turret is that the designers couldn't recreate the circle openings on his palms to replicate his iconic palm blasters with just basic ccbs fists but they still had to give him some hi tech weaponry because, you know, it's ironman.
that headpiece at 11:21 is stellar! i wouldve never thought in a million years to do that kind of thing. also, the leaves at the joints really sell the design for me.
Iron Man head is decent it's the most neutral of the bunch, Captain America looks like his eyes are blind. Hulk is like he needs to take a huge dump on the toilet. Batman is ok but Joker and Hal Jordan have ugly hair curves.
I had gotten these sets for the parts for my Bionicle and Hero Factory MOC making and had even purchased some extra parts from Bricklink. I think I had reused these pieces for different MOCs from time to time since sometimes I would make a Hero Factory MOC specifically based upon the exclusive parts included in these sets but after some time I took those MOCs apart as I didn't like them anymore. But I did find some better uses for the parts in newer and better MOCs. Here's a list of what I used some of these parts for in my modern MOCs and revamps. Batman - The blue armor was useful for revamping Dragon Bolt from Hero Factory as well as the 2015 Toa Gali. Green Lantern - The green feet I was able to use to revamp the 2015 Toa Lewa as well as those feet and armor for a green-colored Hero Factory Hero MOC. The Joker - The torso worked well for the aforementioned green HF Hero MOC I mentioned before and the purple parts were useful for making a purple-colored Hero Factory Hero MOC. It did help that Voltix had the torso in purple. Hulk - I think at one time I used the chest to make a lime-green XL HF Hero, but now it is used on my MOC of Sweet Pete's hybrid monster form from Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers. The hands I think I used in a more recent HF villain MOC. Captain America - I didn't see very many useful pieces from this set, but those red armor pieces were quite nice. I think I used those in some of my Hero Factory MOCs. Iron Man - I used some of the gold pieces to create a gigantic Kagarak MOC from Bionicle 3: Web of Shadows. I didn't have much use for the head pieces and had sold most of those online. The exceptions to this would be that I repainted a Joker head to create a MOC of I.M. Meen, which I still have built today; and the Iron Man head to create a MOC of Ultraman, although that one I've disassembled, but maybe I'll make a better MOC as I still have the head.

The goofy ahh superheroes definitely had some decisions made in the design process. Oh my. But parts are parts, it's all about what you can do with them later than worrying about the actual sets, although buying them would definitely make you question how they got to shelves looking the way they did.
I love your videos. I’ve been binging and bunch of these and now I’m wishing I was good at this/had pieces to make cool mocs like these. That’s how you know you make good videos, when people watch them and are inspired to do the things you show. Bravo to you!
I understand that Lego doesn't want to do Specifically Moulded specialized pieces anymore, But they really shouldn't have retired the entire CCBS System, They should have at least kept the Bones and shell pieces. MOCs have shown how well System and CCBS can blend together and I can't help but think if they kept those generic Shell and bone pieces that Today's buildable figures e.g. the spider-man, Batman, Cap usa, wolverine figures wouldn't look so awkward and use fewer piece so hopefully they wouldn't be 53 AUD A FIGURE!! Jesus, Lego.
I remember getting all of these guys, I scrapped cap and iron man to upgrade hulk. I also ended up using pieces from joker and green lantern to make what could kind-of be called my hero factory self moc, good times.
The Batman one was a childhood set of mine and I still love it to pieces. Maybe you could use all the gunmetal gray pieces to make some sort of combo figure
Recently i found out about a chinese lego-like company Qman doing CCBS style sets offically based on Ultraman which blowed my mind with how much better they were than these, I definitely recommend you try look em up. I found out through another Bionicle youtuber OSSO
There was also another Chinese Lego bootleg line making CCBS style Transformers in this style and again those inorganic looking characters work so much better with CCBS than the mostly organic CCBS Superheroes and Star Wars sets Lego did.

Why isn't LEGO no longer using these parts? I happen to be a fan of the CCBS line of LEGO sets. For now, I'll just have to buy them off either BrickLink or Brick Owl. 😢😔
Thinking about getting the whole set of these guys on eBay soon to make some monstrous HF/Bionicle fused Cyborg MOCs to inspire a LEGO prototype that would've came out in the 1990's called "Cybots". Ngl, I kinda find it ironic nowadays that die-hard Bionicle fans dislike CCBS but never found a reason why I shouldn't have any right to have CCBS as my favorite system to make MOCs with Bionicle parts like they think it's illegal for me to do so, typical die-hards lol.
i never really liked these figures, likely just due to not having an interest in marvel and dc, but they at least give us ccbs armors in colors we lacked as well as a few new elements that r kinda nice
I remember i made a furno with red, white and blue armor and i gave him that captain America shield, and i thought it was great, but my brother made fun of me for it so i took it apart 😢
"CCBS allows for so much easy customisation" Yeah, but purely shallow customisation. CCBS is a crap system compared to the previous Technic figure design.
I find it interesting that the designers tried to bulk these figures up pretty much exclusively with the core CCBS system and little to no technic.
ccbs is like the duplo of constraction. these sets are pretty perfect for a younger crowd tbh

I think the heads are consistently the worst parts of these sets when it comes to using them for MOCs.
Or on the contrary the best if your moc is supposed to be a more accurate version of the character

I mean with Captain America's head if you want you can build Tick the hero moc, while hulk head can be used to make Frankenstein ccbc.

As someone who grew up during the period of time when TH-cam Poops utulized the character a lot, The CCBS I.M. Meen sounds glorious.
