Thank you for showcasing my Bionicle Skyrim mod! I put a lot of efforts to it for several years. You did not show it, but all masks have working abilities. We also made version of this mod for Skyrim Special Edition. And there is separate mod which turns Dwemer Centurions into Bohroks or Vahki.
Any chance it's been ported to console?

Author of the XCOM mod, I was genuinely blown away at the amount of work that must have gone into yours! Creating custom projectiles, animation rigs, and good looking FPP animations must have been no small feat!
Hey! Glad you enjoyed my XCOM 2 mod! It was the first time I ever rigged models and was an important starting point for my path to becoming a 3d modeler. For anyone who is interested in using it, the mod is intended to be used with the "Invisible Heads" mod, and also features some melee weapons. Pairing with the "Primary Secondaries", "Dual Wield Melee", and "Tactical Shields" mod is also recommended to get the ideal canon loadouts.

could never forget those weird toys but i have never encountered reference to or acknowledgment of Galidor in my entire life. parents just kinda gave em to me, siblings weren't interested, didn't know there was a tv show. for the past like 18 years of my life, Galidor only existed in my childhood closet

@@SilverBullet096 I always thought they looked so cool. Then I put them together and felt they were in an awkward position between Bionicles and basic action figures and found them hard to play with. The Flash game on the Lego website was awesome, though.
No gonna lie, when you said "Bionicle Heroes has a modding scene somehow" I was almost expecting the punchline to be an extra thicc Roodaka or a chonki Hali... I've seen how some of the community has developed over the years...

Subspecies might(maybe?) be the right term. Tohunga and Matoran are just different words for the same thing, and Toa and Bohrok are just mutated Matoran.
@@heyheyitsjae2475 Not all Toa are mutated Matoran (for example the Toa Mata were created as Toa as well as Helryx, the very first Toa to exist) and Bohrok aren't any mutated Matoran, they only form out of the remains of Av-Matoran. The lore can get very specific in this regard.

This video feels like when you go to your cousins house and they’re really into a series you’ve never heard of. So they use all the lingo and while you’re completely out of your depth you’re just like “well at least they’re having fun”
Kopaka being a sharpshooter in XCOM feels very lore accurate
The Kanohi Akaku really gives him a serious edge in that regard.

12:49 Heyo, glad you dig my L4D2 Onua mod! He's my favorite Bionicle from as a kid to even now. Louis has like no good skins so I decided to just make him Onua for the hell of it. 👍 As for why there's no others - it's very time-consuming to create decent survivor mods and Onua was the only one I'm interested in.
this is like listening to someone switch from English to another language effortlessly. it's glorious
my favorite bionicle set was Keetongu. Mainly because he was essentially a gorilla who reached toxin nirvana. He was a wise and noble creature but also freakishly strong and canonically killed a main villain in a single hit.

Keetongu is so powerful they named an entire color after him in fear of the smash

Edit: I am almost 29 years old as of writing this. I was OBSESSED with Bionicle as a kid, and still like seeing content about it now and then. I got into Bionicle before the Toa of Light was revealed. Thus I must ask, how in the world have I never heard of Voriki?
I still have the Bionicle guidebooks from 2002 onwards. And the chapter books. Stuff like this really hammers in how long ago it was.
Voriki is fake. If I remember correctly he's a meme from the earliest days of Bionicle when they speculated that the 7th Toa would be the Toa of Energy, not the Toa of Light.
Not gonna lie, when Oboe said "Voriki" I was like "who?" and had to go look him up. As soon as I saw "Toa of Energy" the whole urban legend came rushing back into my head from 20 some years ago. Wild times.
This is incredible. Bionicle truly does make everything better.
Bionicle is like bacon, it makes everything better and affects your brain's pleasure centers the same way cocaine does.
I never want to understand Bionicle lore, I want this to be confusing forever it makes it so much more entertaining.

The Galidor bit was pure gold.
The Bionicle characters look even more badass in video games than in real life. I think it's the animations, and their look. It's like they were made for video games. It's in par with Warhammer and other similar kinds of stuff.
I think its the animation thats a mix between robotic and natural/lifelike that makes it fit well.
I was never allowed to play with Bionicle as a 90's child, which means I have absolutely no idea if any of what Oboe is saying it true, but he is so smooth with his references I don't doubt any of them.
As a kid who hyperfixated on Bionicle during his childhood, and still does to this day, I can tell you Oboe is knocking it outta the park with this one. Actually really cool to see a big TH-camr give one of my favorite franchises of all time so much love, considering how little attention it gets otherwise.

I remember downloading scuffed minecraft texture packs as a kid, like bionicles and star wars ones, but I bet there are also mods for it as well.
Can confirm there was a BIONICLE mod at some point. I don't know if it's still being developed though.

Why do the animations in skyrim look more natural with bionicles than they do with the characters they were made for?
Im guessing cause the animations fit more for a robot (i know they arent robots truly) kinda character than humans.

Bionicle the masks of power. its gonna be a free game and its listing is up on steam now. the devs even released the entire asset package of every single lego piece they've created for the game for free for anyone who wants to make something too.

Never knew the kordac or kordack (however it spelt lol) blaster mould was from bionicles as a kid tbh though i should have. Always used it attached to something other than a bionicle as a turret for clones to use or fight against lol. Just brought back some old memories, seeing the orange plunger piece makes me wanna spamfire the adult responsibilities away 😂😢
