    This is really useful. But majority of people wish to go down that way..but get caught up with constraints which is
    A) not into high pay jobs
    B) savings for down payments
    C) locked into EMIs
    D) family obligations
    Which leaves little savings in the end

    +1 to both book recommendations! 📚After getting a job at Google, I was hounded by personal finance advisors who wanted to manage my money. I read Ramit's book to first educate myself so that I would at least know what they were doing, and I learned that I was better off doing it on my own 💰(in index funds of course 😄).

    • @SundasKhalid
      @SundasKhalid  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Exactly, that's how I felt too. I wish I had read Ramit's book right after immigrating to USA because it gives a comprehensive of the USA financial systems. I would have avoided so many mistakes if I had read the book earlier.

    Thank you so much for this Sundas! Talking about money and wealth management is unfortunately almost seen as a taboo topic especially where I'm from, and it was great to see someone speak so openly and honestly about their experiences and their path to financial literacy. There's so much I could learn from this video and I'll definitely be reading the books you mentioned. Too often we spend a lot of time working and not really focusing on the reason we all work, which is to be financially stable for life. So kudos to you!

    Thank you so much for this! It would be great if you could do more videos on finance and investment, especially to freshers. Please do share your 6 month journey of finance literacy step by step or make a video on investing in stocks/crypto/... for beginners. It would be of great help for the youth!

    • @SundasKhalid
      @SundasKhalid  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would suggest to start with the 2 books I mentioned if you are in USA. If not, then find something equivalent for your region. Reading a book and then building on top of it is the best way to learn in my opinion.

  • @growwitholive

    I really wished that finance education be part of schooling. It is actually way more important compared to some other subjects which could have been even omitted. Because financial literacy is what is needed to live a good life and make the most out of the money you earn. If children are educated about finance and investment from school, they'll be able to save up for life right from the beginning of their earning.

    • @SundasKhalid
      @SundasKhalid  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I completely agree. I hope it's part of school curriculum one day. It does make you wonder who benefits from not making financial education accessible?!

    Hey Sundas, thank you for your overview on financial literacy. I really liked it. I however have one suggestion- if you can talk it out in a bit more detail like what kind of S&Ps you invested in or you know other details i believe your viewers can benefit from that more than from a general overview. Keeping in mind that a lot of people who follows you also work in tech gigs and FAANG - so having someone we can relate to personally is always exciting. Please dont get me wrong- i simply love your work !!

      A pretty safe, conservative approach would be to invest in a low-cost ETF that tracks the S&P500. I like Vanguard brokerage and they have a good total stock market fund. I think they typically return around 6-8% annually.

    • @SundasKhalid
      @SundasKhalid  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Radhika, thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate it. I hesitate from telling people which stocks/funds to invest in but I like your approach where I discuss it as what I invest in instead of "here is what you should invest in" considering I am not a financial advisor.

      Depends on what kind of risk reward you seeking, and what your risk apetite is, that being said if you want make fast money than crypto is your way, if you want safe 6% interest also crypto got you covered in the form of stablecoins. Stock market could be also good but it is also volatile with market crashes which is happening more then ever before. But, the main lesson is never invest more then you are ready to loose. Most importanly in investment is timing when you get in, most beginner make mistake by buying stocks or cryptos when it is rising..that is when the holders sells. Make wise informative decisions and always try to do your own research or someone you trust.
