This was cool to see how you work from home. I’ll be starting my first remote job in a couple weeks as a software engineer. Kind of nervous since I’ll be on my own and not in the office. Going to watch your other videos, you have a great personality.

I just started my internship and 1st day I am watching how a data scientist would work in a proper manner. I learned many things from you how to be confident, organized, and the main thing the color coding.. thanks for sharing the video.
This was cool. I'm currently a DS intern at a pretty big company (not really FAANG), but I do want to experience life at a FAANG company. I find that studying for a SWE technical interview is much more straight forward than a DS (I watched your previous videos on preparing for a DS interview). Makes me want to just switch from DS to SWE.
You will be fine, just keep working on those interview skills. It's prob not as straightforward at SWE and that doesn't stop at the interview stage but i's possible to figure it out. Hang in there!

2 key things that felt very much different.. 1. You only open your email at the end of the day and allow more time to focus on your task and 2. More 1on1 with peers.

Yes. Email sucks me in. And since my work requires very focused time, I try to stay away from it. I am a morning person so want to dedicate the morning to finish things off of my list. +100 to peer 1-1.

Also, would love it if you had shown your after-work day. Need some tips about how to recharge and have a good work-life balance. It's crazy to manage work and house when you're married and don't have house help :(

Interesting the dynamics of e-mail in different industries. I am a Lead IT Systems Engineer and live by e-mail. I am customer focusing and am dealing a lot with remote MPLS and SIP Trunking designs and subsequent installations and troubleshooting. Many times, if I don’t respond to an e-mail with 15-20 minutes, I have people calling my desk phone, cell phone, MS Teams numbers looking for me to reply. LOL.
I have been doing WFH for close to 15+ years. There is a balance that you need to learn and when to focus on one or the other. You look like you have a good grasp on that delineation for work/home balance. Glad I stumbled upon your channel from the new MBP unboxing. :)

Food of thought: Have you thought about making videos on real-world application of statistical concepts that you use on a day to day basis.

@@SundasKhalid for example sampling techniques can be used to figure out the effectiveness of vaccination drive or how visualisations can be used for storytelling.

The thing which you said about replying to comments is the reason for me to watch all your videos as it shows how down to earth you are. and one suggestion the quality of this video was good but was lacking behind due to low lights. I would like to see more videos about the growth and demand in the industry, interview questions, and preparation? which is the best course for data science?.

You might find you can get more done with a second monitor, even if it's just your MacBook. Having two screens doubles your productivity. Having three triples it. After that, though, it's diminishing returns.

How do u manage with kids. Im a developer but managing work with three kids is something i need a miracle to coup with…
It’s a lot of work tbh. There are 4 things that work in my favor 1) having a job that values wlb 2) my kids are older, 3) my partner and I share work equally at the house, and 4) I have very limited set of friends so that saves time on socializing. But it’s def not easy and I take breaks often to avoid burn out. All about the balance and having a good system in place.

I haven't worked on the weekend in the last 4 years. It feels good to have weekends to myself. My work-life balance is amazing at my current company, I would say, my week typically range from some 35 - 38 hours max.

I can't answer that for you. In general, a degree is worth it if it's going to teach you skill and you have the time and money for it.
