Watching Rachel try and guide him was literally like watching one of those old school Conversations with My 3 Year Old videos where a grown male comedian plays a 3 year old child. This is my favorite episode of all time.
The fact that Zach put raw flour in his filling instead of powdered sugar or even regular sugar has my dying.

Yeah you have to bake it off in the oven, if you make cookie dough to eat on it’s own it is so important
he did put sugar, he later added flour to solidify it.
@alstonjacobs4934 yes they know, usually you add more powdered sugar to solidify frosting/icing because you cannot eat raw flour. Flour needs to be cooked off.

That's actual experience. The best learning method, they made a lot of mistakes, they learned from them, and I think they can be actually decent at cooking and baking by now

Well, it helps that they got rid of their 2 top competitors.
It'd be kind of cool if this were a regular thing: cycling out the best two competitors after a couple of seasons and bringing in new people who had no idea how to bake or cook.
Zach's Veganism really guided him to make the most oreo-like oreo tbh
It really did save him. He was able to kind of guess his way to the finish line just by crossing out the things that weren't vegan

@@Casutamaas I understand it, he isn't vegan, but he frequently chooses to eat vegan meals because he has so many intolerances/sensitivities/chronic pain triggers related to meat and dairy and a lot of the time that's just easier.

Grabbing the flour with his hands was an...interesting choice, but adding "about 8 hands full" is something I definitely might do because I have no clue how to make cookies.
It's a miracle how Rosanna hasn't gotten food poisoning from the number of times she has judged without a recipe for the tryguys.

Watching Jared and Kwesi make the same mistakes Eugene made all the way back in the cake episode (shitton of eggs, overmixing) was both equally terrifying and hilarious to watch.
It never occurred to me that they film the expert after everyone has gone through and messed up because the questions and advice always seemed like reasonable questions to be curious about for a novice. But there's no way they'd ask about piping a cookie unless they were referring to Kwasei's mistake 😂😂

Rachel was like an exasperated teacher trying so hard to lead her struggling student to find their way to the right answer and poor Jared was just Not Getting It.
Rachel was trying so so hard to guide him in the correct direction by asking questions like "how long have you been mixing?" "What is the opposite of liquid?" in order to help him pause and think of the correct solution and Jared just completely misses the mark. But the fact you can tell he's really trying, makes him so likable and want to help him.

I love how they are genuinely good people and when they realize that Jared was stressing and didn’t know what to do, they all ran over to help and also inform him on how to do it! That’s one of my favorite moments in any kids baking show and you rarely see it with the adult version because they tend to WANT the other bakers to lose. This is heartwarming ❤
I love how sweet Rosanna was. She was trying so hard to find something positive to say about everyone's cookies, even though the cookies were clearly terrible.
