How the hell did anyone manage to make a cake that supposedly tasted like soap and smelt like fish? Zach is breaking the fundamental laws of the universe in this show.

I once accidentally added sooo much baking soda to my brownies - I'm talking powder you can still see when you cut through - and I can absolutely confirm it tastes just like soap. 💀💀💀
Nope, I've done it too, misremembering a recipe that said teaspoon as tablespoon of baking soda and it did smell weird, kind of like fish. Actually more specifically it smelled like the air you let out of a tire... chemically speaking I believe it's the formation of mercaptans that makes that smell (I know this from winemaking). Also I suspect the baking soda was also responsible for the black raspberries, it causes the natural pigments in some fruits and vegetables to turn blue or green, especially noticeable with blueberries, red onions, wild grapes and red cabbage but I could see it happening with raspberries too if you had T HAT much baking soda.

God's children are set apart (holy) and righteous. The devil is a liar that comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy; that includes your relationship with God!
Open your heart to God, repent of your sins (he will forgive you), and let him direct your path. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands and purify your heart, lest you walk with the devil and follow him to hell.

I was SO not prepared, but I laughed my ass off and had a great time (although I still have a slight touch of PTSD.)
Imagine jonny coming back home from this episode and their partner asking "so how was your day?" And he has to say like "oh, I came on a book and ate it, then I sucked on a toe and ate my own head. All of this while judging cakes"
