    Dude! Discovered your channel last week, already it's one of the channels I've gained the most benefit from. What I really appreciate is that you're a real filmmaker who shows examples from real work, not just a TH-cam filmmaker dishing out trivial tips. It feels like your advice comes from real world experience. This video is one of my favourites, as a photographer and filmmaker trying to find my place, I'm looking forward to honing in on my style and discovering what my style even is. Really useful advice bro, thank you. Looking forward to more of your content in the future! Peace

  • @LukasStumpf
    @LukasStumpf 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    To be honest: his work seems so impressive, cause he is at this spots. His photos are great, framing, colors etc. But Island and nature does the most of the job here I guess. Anyway nice video!

    • @jcowell-9
      @jcowell-9 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lukas Stumpf I also used to think like that, I always thought my photos and videos suck because I’m not in some amazing location. But I realized that no matter the location or your gear if you don’t have the skills or an eye composition then you won’t get good photos or videos. Not hating on your comment it’s just the mindset that I see a lot on TH-cam.

    • @LukasStumpf
      @LukasStumpf 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jcowell-9 I know I know Joshua :) I live in Franconia, Germany and we also have nice landscapes here. But there is a difference between a franconian forest and Island, you know what I mean? You're right with that argument of skills, composition etc. but there is a significant point where you're located as well. For myself I'm able to shoot great photos and videos here as well, because I use these types of techniques. But I understand your stance

    • @jcowell-9
      @jcowell-9 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lukas Stumpf completely agree location does play a huge part of it. But as you said without the skills and techniques you won’t be able to capture the location in the best way possible! I think it’s a balance between knowing how to turn a bad location into a great one and making an amazing location look even better. Thanks for acknowledging my stand point and I agree with yours. All the best for your future photos and videos :)

Since money is a factor in my decision (can't get all i want) would getting the fujifilm x-h1 that came with a battery grip and 18-55 22.8 for 1700 USD be a better decision than getting the fuji X-T3 (body is 1300 USD alone.) I just notice you have the x-t3 as your best and cheapest camera so what makes it better than the x-h1 (especially at the price difference due to the xh-1 dropping so much)
