Samantha my daughter...I can't imagine how determined n courageous you are....Aamaappa 's baby.. you are the most blessed grand daughter of your maymay(grand father)..
Imma tell you that this is real off-roading. Climbing the mountains. Powerdrift means business. They ain't messing around here. Everybody creates content, powerdrift creates experience.
This is perhaps the video from Power Drift that I could most relate to. The way this video was shot and presented I almost felt as if I was there. That, however, is not the reason I like it. I am a native of Siliguri and I have been to places like Nathula, Maneybhanjang, Sandakphu etc many times. I fondly remember my dad telling me that the only cars that can make it there are the Land Rover, hence I have a very special place in my heart for Land Rover. Thank you so much for showing this tiny but beautiful corner of our country in such a great way. Thank you Jaguar Land Rover for remembering and honouring this place. Thank you Power Drift for this amazing video.
Since my childhood, I have been to this place for few times, and rode these timeless beauties of engineering. My dad was posted there for 13 years and learned driving on one this machine. And that's why once a ford sale's person wanted to convince us for Eco sports as perfect SUV, my dad told him, man, you must call it high ground clearance with SUV style car not SUV coz SUV can't be front-wheel drive and if you have any doubt I'll take you to a place where you can find lots of real SUVs. And today I became very proud to be a part of #PDArmy, coz when I was watching the video my dad was behind me and at the end, he told me 'go and learn from this guy how to drive an SUV, he is pretty good and that's you Rohan @ten Hunt Goosebumps :D
This is the best review i have ever seen....this is not about the one car but it's about the people's ,places , courage and the generation of Land Rover.. Thank you...thank you so much for this video powerdrift....☺️
You should have travelled further to Phalaylung or phallut.. on route to phallut from sandabu you can see 4 out of 5 world highest peaks..viz.. mt everest, kanchenjunga, makalu n lotse.. Amazing part is that local landrover drivers are performing stunts upon the incline n steep meadows showing their skill whic cannot be matched even by new landrover discovery.. almunium body heritage landrovers are more robust, durable n faithful ...with new landrover discovery ..when it comes to durability n robustness i doubt .
It's a feeling u guys gives with the video is awesome... Better than any other automotive content channel... Auto car also done same video but I love to watch this again n again...

The old land rovers are simply amazing. How the old land rover managed to keep par with the new ones with being deprived of automatic and terrain response systems and low range is simply amazing...
Boy oh boy !! Literally i forgot what's happening around me for 15 odd minutes. U guys have made one immersive story ❤❤❤. The music is so deep and reflects what our heart will go through. Those mighty land rovers are looking too beautiful. Just like wine they betters with age❤🚘❤ !!! Ten hut kudos man 🙌🙌🙌. U didn't scratched😂😂😂 Keep up the awesome work team 💪💪💪 #PDArmy
This video just blew my mind and heart and till the end of the video i felt alive and breathing the same amount of oxygen you are experience ten hut...this video is really breathtaking, emotional and heart touching... all thanks to POWER DRIFT and LANDROVER... Thank you guys for making me feel alive.
This is what land rovers were designed for, they were expected to be these work-horses taking man to the farthest parts of the planet ! They were designed to be affordable, easily repairable & simply be as tough as nails. Sad that the Landrovers of today cost more than most apartments & are covered from head to toe with Aluminium. A material which cant even be mended after a little ding! No wonder they've become Boulevard-Rovers !
Sandesh uppu Thank you for your passionate comment Sandesh, and you will be surprised to know that the series one Landrovers were also aluminium bodywork, which is why they were so lightweight and versatile.
Guys even 1200 cc goes up in leh. Rules - 1. Uphill traffic has right of way so just blink your headlight and the incoming vehicle will drag itself to road shoulder and make way for you. 2. Once you start, get it to atleast 15 20 Kms. Do not stop on the steep curve. Take a little longer radius rather than the edge. 3. Stop before the U turn and check, never stop on the U. The Rover has power and can start from zero, no need to get panicky. Thanks, A Bhan
These land rover's are still run there only because the road there is so difficult to drive . If the road is made concrete which is being planned by the WB govt... this beautiful place will not only not be the trekkers paradise anymore but also will be polluted like any other place around.. which will be extremely catastrophic. I have trekked twice now till Phallut which is even further than Sandakphu. Hope the road will still be as difficult as it already is and only then will the beauty of this area prevail.
The Best vedio, myself felt of each and every moment that much i involved myself. Great vedio guy's you people just made it 👍 Samantha you are great and inspiring 👍
These landrovers are also on the other side i.e Nepal but the government here is banning these legendary vehicles due to so called safety and pollution issues( public transport more than 20 years old are not allowed in Nepal) and we can see our neighbouring country India giving a huge respect to these legends!!! wish it was the same here in Nepal, too. Only true vehicle enthusiast know the history... no blame on our government though!!!
Well put together Bhishan. I am sure you agree - the onus lies on the enthusiasts who want to keep these vintage memories alive. And at the same time it is the onus of the governments to ensure they keep the best interests of the country going.
