The ducks definitely are the perfect accent for a lake house
I think that plaid chair belongs in your living room, and you can take the other one to the cabin. It looks beautiful in your living room, and infuses some blue from your kitchen and new stove. I love that entry table you got, it's gorgeous.

My first husband, who passed away after 10 years of marriage, was from Boston. We lived in Atlanta, but every summer we went all over Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Woods Hole, etc. I love it there. SO much charm.❤❤❤
When you brought the blue checked chair into your living room, it made me smile. I think the neutral look is wonderful. But, after a while, you realize that color and pattern add such life to a space. And personality. For the chippy little table, Hobby Lobby has the most incredible collections of cast iron handles and drawer pulls . I know I have seen sailboats, anchors, and rope . Just a simple inexpensive touch to add lake vibes and interest. I think an outdoor sisal rug just layered over the blue one would give that vacation feel to the living room for now. I do think the brass set of small mirrors has a sort of port hole feel. I think, looking at the cabin, I would just put an old canvas slip cover over the striped sofa. That is the only thing that feels dated in the room. What a fun project!
I agree that the checkered chair brought life and warmth to the room. Too much neutral, although calming, does lack vitality.
I have two ceramic ducks like the one you show in the last few minutes of the video. They belonged to my grandparents. I love them! 🥰🦆🦆
We go to this festival every year… it’s just a few minutes from my home. Lots of great shopping in downtown Holly as well which is just a short distance away. Also the M 15 sales that are the same weekend. There are literally hundreds of garage sales along m 15. There are many subs, sales, as well as sales at churches and other buildings. It is truly amazing and a thrifters paradise.It’s a wonderful weekend to make a little trip and do all the things that are going on in our area.

I have a personal request: as a fellow believer, I’m reaching out for prayers. My partner has been diagnosed with cancer and is starting chemotherapy this week. I am leaning on the Lord during this difficult time more than ever, and your prayers would mean a lot to us. This illness is a tough battle, but I am striving to be stronger than ever as well. Our daughter is moving to blue in her living room, so we just purchased a beautiful Ethan Allen dark blue sofa for her family, straight off of FB marketplace and a super deal! Loving the blue check in your living room, as well!

Have someone make slipcovers for your 2 white chairs that would be fabulous and save money as well love your finds ❤👍
This is a great idea. The checked chair could stay, but it would need a matching mate for balance and it is doubtful that a duplicate chair could be found. But two slipcovered chairs would be perfect. And there would always be the option of removing the checkered covers and returning to the white, if a change was wanted in the summer months.

I have a similar twig table, but mine has a plain top trimmed on the sides with twigs. The bottom is very similar to yours. I made a doll sized table with small twigs and hot glue for camp one year almost identical to yours!. I also have some mallard ducks and a cardinal carved and painted by my grandmother’s cousin. Don’t have a cabin of my own but dedicated my smallest bedroom to a cabin theme with an old fishing pole hung over the windows. I made black watch plaid cafe curtains for the windows with traditional fabric pull down roller shades above.

The barns at this particular festival have the best stuff. The venders are so nice and the finds are fun. I went a couple of years ago and stuffed the back of my car full.

I am always amazed and a little jealous of all the good things other people seem to find on Facebook or thrift stores or antique stores....the "pickings" in my area are so slim or either they are just junk that nobody would wants. Super fun video!! I love the chair and all the sweet ducks!! That plaid shade on the green lamp is beautiful. It looks like a Park Designs pattern and they can cost a small fortune. Great deal if it is that brand. Have a blessed weekend.
Oh I purchased the nine plaid pillows from Target and was shocked to get them at Target for $2.50 each. I purchased four!
I love that blue and cream chair. I too would have been tempted to keep it. It'll be fun to see all of your new items up at the cabin. I just "hushed" my kitchen (per Minimal Mom's podcast) where you remove everything, live with it for a day or two, then put only those things back that you really want. So, now I'm undecided about what direction to go in. We don't have great thrift stores or FB Marketplace items in my tourist area, but I'm watching your videos and others to come up with some new style items (especially over my cabinets which have a lot of space between the cabinets and high ceiling). Wish me luck!

We went to Davisburg on Saturday. It was a lot bigger than Midland last fall. I picked up a white wicker plant stand for $8 then stopped at Lowe's on the way home for a fern. I've sort of given up on Goodwill over the past couple of years because of rising prices and less selection but maybe I need to go back. I can identify so much with your cottage staging area in your basement Andrea. I do the same before any remodel. Great episode!

I think the little wooden shoe with holes is a pen holder. As a kid my grandma had things like that where she stuck in pens and pencils and sometimes they were homemade.

The heavy clay container with twine/leather/vine is for wine I think. Of course you can use it for many things.

I love all of your finds . You gave me some inspiration as we have a camper that we keep at a campground here in Missouri. It’s small and I have very little spaces to decorate literally. Frustrating. But I have found a couple of items recently at my Goodwill to use finally but you gave me some inspiration again .
