- Spring has sprung here in Northern Indiana. The weather has improved and so has my attitude because we have made LOTS of progress on the Firewall Forward rebuild of our Cherokee Six. We head back to the shop to check in with the our A&P to get the latest update on things, and to see my Baby. Who put Baby in the corner?!?

Looks like a good shop. A&P is spitting image of guy I apprenticed under haha. Gone are the days of getting stuff done quickly tho. Hold ups to be expected now.

Well organized workshop with job board, parts rack and mobile trolley: didn't see any tool boxes, service bulletins, ADs, manufacturers spec, POH or logbook?

hey there mate, thx for stopping by. all logs since new in 'Big Blue' - a giant blue rubber "tote" box you'd buy at a big box store. POH sits behind CP seat (when fully assembled), easy reach in-flight. we leave the boring paperwork off camera. would you like to see it in a future EP?

Just wondering, any update on new engine?
Thanks for asking. It's been bad news after bad news from Lycoming since June. I plan to post an update on it soon and hopefully we are back in the air by May of 2024.
@@6ZeroAlpha thanks for responding. I can relate. I had to replace engine on my Cherokee Six.
Placed order Jan 2022 and felt lucky to get engine the last week of Dec 2022. Main delay then was cylinders.
yea, that seems to be the case from what we are hearing from various shops, but Lycoming won't say, just calling it "production delays". Original ship date was end of June, then October, then November (which got us excited), and then 2 weeks ago the email now projecting end of March 2024.
