I was diagnosed with Sjogrens last year, when my labs came back SSA-positive. Initially I didn’t believe it, since I have none of the symptoms of primary Sjogrens. I actually have lupus symptoms, but was negative for the smith antibody & for anti-rDNA. In the months since my diagnosis, I have become aware of other Sjogrens symptoms-which I do have. I’ve had quite a bit of respiratory distress, & I’m now treated as if I have severe asthma (I never had asthma before.) I’ve developed vocal cord dysfunction, which is devastating considering I am /was a singer & I teach music. I also have to be careful with my kidney health, & I suffer with terrible fatigue. Hydroxychloroquine has been a game-changer for me. I’ve wondered if it’s a matter of time before I develop more of the common symptoms (namely dryness), & if there is anything I can do to prevent it?
Thank you for this video, you could have been describing my symptoms. I have severe RA, the dry mouth, was told I have Lupus by my last doctor. I am in pain 24/7 and will be watching your videos for any tips to alleviate my pain.
Hi. 1s t time here and have to say I've been bothered with dry mouth eyes nose foray yrs. Was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 7+yrs ago now. Live in Scotland and NHS Treatments are awful. Told to take a cocktail of prescription meds on trial and error to see which one work for me. None have and I'm not continuing to take meds jist for the sake of it I have other ailments and would do well to have some tests done especially my thyroid and so cold shivering all the time also been losing lot of hair when brushing. So try not to brush as often. So much more besides. Too much to text. Anyway thank you. So glad I've been guided here. Take care. Namaste

I have secondary sjogrens (SLE) and I just started experiencing extreme itching on all areas of my skin. The more I scratch, it’s like my body just gets set on fire and I turn red all over. It’s burning and just randomly itching. I have to sit still with an ice pack and really focus on calling myself down to get it to stop. Is this due to sjogrens? I JUST went to my Rheumatologist 3 weeks ago, right before this symptom started so I wasn’t able to discuss it with her
Did you get an answer for the itching? Because I also have this and was recently diagnosed with Sjogren's as well. I'm only now putting that together due to your comment.
When u take hydroxychloroquine- for Sjrogrens and your blood test comes back neg for Sjrogrens after taking hydroxychloroquine- does that mean u don't have Sjrogrens and you can stop taking the med

Graves is silently brutal to live with. Sorry to hear you have had it so long. I am in year 6. Been on Methimazole, but the symptoms are present no matter what. Have you noticed that?
@@nancydwyer3850 I became drug resistant within 3 year .. this remission thing is nonsense, it will come back with a vengeance! I wish I’d of had the removal early on when it was offered ! Certainly is brutal !
@@nancydwyer3850 I don’t know why my reply isn’t showing ? I tried for remission wasn’t coming for me, drug resistant too ! Wish id had it removed 2004 instead of listening to others about this remission that was never coming! I’ve even seen people 15 years later have it come back! It’s very hard on the body x
