The only issue with this kind of content is that the players don’t get to show off their own, unrestricted brews. That said, they always seem to have such a blast doing these. Best content they produce.
@@lhii616 it simulates a beloved aspect of kitchen table magic, where you’re at your friend’s house and digging through their collection to build a deck
Beejlander, an awesome pre-pre-release AND a 20$ challenge?! We're living in the golden ages of mtg content. The fact that Marshalls obscura beats actually helped me win my pre-release is the cherry on the pie that didn't need a cherry to begin win :) Thanks everyone over at LRR!
Didn't see it mentioned but I love the touch that the music when going into YellowJacket is the same as the first time YellowJacket was featured for gameplay in Friday Nights!
I love this format. It is so good, as it offers some personality in form of picking/designing a deck you like, it offers strategy to optimise the deck based on a smaller budget, and goofyness as you can bring a lot of things to the table and still create strong entertainment for yourself and the audience.
This is a really good example of how playing a deck that’s so much more powerful than everyone else’s isn’t necessarily a fun way to play magic. The whole time Ben is playing you can tell he’s like “oh god what am I doing to my friends”
As always, huge thanks to the entire LRRCrew; everybody on the stream are always entertaining, you guys get the vods out in lightning fast speed (I daresay it rivals CardKingdom's shipping speed), perfectly cut as well, good heavens. I am so thankful for all the work everybody puts in! Thanks to everybody ❤
so, Bengineering has made quite a few commander deck tecks for pprs by now. i think it would be cool if we saw a commander pod with decks from among those. i am myself partial to the oops all gods from Khaldheim, but it is of course up to the players love the content
You should try the Primordial format. It's very much like this because it's limited inspired constructed. You have 40 cards, are limited to one set, and can have a max of 2 rares and 6 uncommons.
There needs to be more of these because its so fun to watch honestly. Definitely my favorite of the friday night paper fight series. Also love ben for the mutate deck. one of my favorite recent mechanics.
Holy shit, Beejlander and $20 challenge? By far my favorite things you do random magic related. So much fun and interesting ideas, you guys inspired me and my friends to build edh decks based on our common and uncommons lol
Great idea. I think the old standard staple rares idea was the best approach, though looking at pauper staples is also a good way to get some good ideas. Adam really needed a finisher. Cavalcade of Calamity, Impact Tremors, You see a pair of goblins (or any variants thereof).
I think this is my favorite kind of Magic. I'm not good at draft, barely enough at sealed. But constructing a deck around a theme or a set, with low power because no budget, and jamming it with friends? That's my kind of Magic.
All these decks are so sweet. My neat Auspicious starrix tip is in a volo commander deck, if you get the volo trigger you can get 5 permanents by putting both copies of starrix on the same creature
I love a lot of FNPF - but I don't usually comment. But Algorithm needs engagement and I want people to know that this is the best Magic content online.
When Ikoria was in standard I also player. A Sultai mutate deck, but it only had creatures. The only time I got to Gold in Arena :') good times, so proud of that one
Fun to see ben playing mutate. Played a mutate deck in standard, had end raze forerunneres to pump the team, that red devotion God to give haste, and thasa's oracle for the full goldfish win. Turn 4 or 5 would usually be long enough flip most of your deck onto the table, assuming the opponent didn't remove your stuff lol.
Sorry to see Nelson doing poorly with Lutri, the Spellchaser. In my experience, Lutri, the Spellchaser is at their strongest when splashing a third color. There's nothing quite like copying sphinx's revelation with Lutri, the Spellchaser. This is especially true considering Lutri, the Spellchaser is more effective with permanent removal than counterspells, as permanent removal is more likely to hit two targets when copied than a counterspell.
That comment about playing constructed and kitchen table is what my friends and I have gotten to doing. We don't care about power anymore, we just wanna make goofy things and play cards
I adore all the "$20" limit formats, but prefer Commander. More more more, please. edit 9:30 is the most pain I've ever herd in response to opening a pack.
During Ben and Nelsons first game I looked away for like 3 minutes and came back to Ben mobilizing the entire forces of nature against Nelson and the guys he met behind the bar. Wtf.
Gotta get in on ordering Uno Singles from Card Kingdom, y'all. Shipping is amazingly fast. And those rare blue Draw-4's aren't going to stay below $4 forever.
This and Beejlander are the best pieces of MTG content on the entirety of YT, y'all are amazing!
Exactly!
Also the "Rosewater/Rosetta stone" AI generated sets, those I rewatched like a hundred times
I one hundred percent agree

Three cheers for that brother. Absolutely true.

Ben trying to determine what white border printing of Llanowar Elves he found: "I guess Alpha?"
$20 very optimistic for those.
@@EmperorTiberiusII laughs in just payed 70 dollars because i needed it to match my fyndhorn and elish mystic

Brilliant editing on the shopping segment!! Also… “Ed will you give me this Doomskar for $1?” “No.” 😂

i love it when yall do the budget lgs challenges im so glad they are back
I’m so happy wheeler is in one of these
Dang first Beejlander and now another $20 LGS challenge, you spoil us LRR
"The idea is to play as many cards from these packs as we can. Not the bad ones obviously."
Wheeler proceeds to throw away his whole pile.
This is one of my all time favorites from LRR, make me pump my fist in the air when I saw this masterpiece was up.
Ben: I was building control but then I started hating myself
Wheeler: So I'm building control because I hate myself
lol
I am always happy to see new videos going up from Lrr but these are some of my favorites.
Feeling VERY engaged by the kitchen table content. Love these from LRR. You guys make weekends way better

Just an idea YJ should do 20 dollar magic tournaments, really accessible for new players.

It's not just a roc it's a Boulder
The khans used to ride those babies for miles
Excellent! So excited!
That track during deck building rips me back to Friday Night so hard!
Also appreciate Adam's deck name
So excited to see this again!!!. Love the building portion of these series so much.
Love the callback to the OG Friday nights music
There needs to be more of these because its so fun to watch honestly. Definitely my favorite of the friday night paper fight series.
Also love ben for the mutate deck. one of my favorite recent mechanics.
when Adam slapped the creepy doll i lost it! you folks are tremendous, thank you for all that you do :)
I love Adam's deck so much, it brings me back to when I first started playing pwq.
What, beejlander and then $20 challenge!? We are being spoiled!
I would love to see this done, but building 2 headed giant decks
1:22:42 Wheeler put that one on a T-Ball stand and Nelson lobbed it into the parking lot, I think I died laughing.
I love this!!!! Thank you all so much!!!
these challenges are some of the best content y’all to!! love it so much
YES MY FAVORITE SERIES IS FINALLY BACK!!! ITS FELT LIKE FOREVER AGO
I love wheeler's "thanks me" joke.
Holy shit, Beejlander and $20 challenge? By far my favorite things you do random magic related. So much fun and interesting ideas, you guys inspired me and my friends to build edh decks based on our common and uncommons lol

I respect Wheeler correcting Vega's name as Claw, you know, just to avoid confusion lol
These vids are the best it teaches me a lot about good common cards for pauper
I've been binging the LGS challenges, and I legit thought I was hallucinating when I saw a new one was posted
I really like the tweak of picking two random packs to sort of "guide" you on deck building. :) Nice innovation to the restriction.
i would buy a button that just said "mono-red? four bolts. yup." in a heartbeat
I'm laying in bed at 4:30 am absolutely losing it giggling at "I could use a Disdainful Stroke" "That's ToS, you can't say that,"
I want to participate in one of these $20 FNPF challenges so bad this looks like SO MUCH FUN
Same!
First Beejlander and now this? Amazing!
$20 LGS Challenge is my favorite series.
Wheeler vs Adam: bolt the bird, but everything’s a bird and everything’s a bolt.
Love seeing this content, would also love to see $40 LGS Canadian Highlander
I feel like it would be very enjoyable to build for.
i think the booster boost at the start is a very nice addition :)
Also, Beejlander, $20 LGS challenge... now we only need RoboRosewater limited... if only...
I love these $20 builds and beejlander!
I concur with all of other fellow nerds. This is LRRMTGs best content by far!
I think this is my favorite kind of Magic. I'm not good at draft, barely enough at sealed. But constructing a deck around a theme or a set, with low power because no budget, and jamming it with friends? That's my kind of Magic.
We are the ones building. An ominous twist on I am the one who knocks.
Such an amazing challenge. I love these every time.
All these decks are so sweet. My neat Auspicious starrix tip is in a volo commander deck, if you get the volo trigger you can get 5 permanents by putting both copies of starrix on the same creature
Can we get a "4 Bolt. Yep." CK pin?!
wheeler having an Elspeth Commits Insurance Fraud in his deck was the big brain move of a lifetime. definitely my favorite bulk rare of all time
I can't believe I'd get teased over Roadquest by a magic video but man I just wanted to hear Fursuit Vehicle again.
8th edition grave pact art is the real ghost of Christmas future
Adam: Metropolitan Sparks.
Nelson: Undead Vikings.
Ben: Triangle Sparks
You guys really bringing all of the fire content
Absolutely love these!
I love a lot of FNPF - but I don't usually comment. But Algorithm needs engagement and I want people to know that this is the best Magic content online.
Shoutout to Nelson for representing Team Otter, even if it meant giving up some games
Excellent, as always. Thank you.
When Ikoria was in standard I also player. A Sultai mutate deck, but it only had creatures. The only time I got to Gold in Arena :') good times, so proud of that one
Love this challenge, it is the most engaging of contents!

Huh, two of those three Eldraine cards Adam highlighted were banned in standard
may or may not have totally bought adam's deck. it just looks so fun to play and having some tasty silly decks ready to roll is always fun :D

2 weeks of highlander, then beejlander, and then this!!
You guys have some of the best mtg content.
I think these budget decks are the purest form of childhood magic no need to spend 500 dollars on on deck
I love my Vega deck! I built it in MTG Las Vegas since we got more disturb cards and it felt right.
There's just something about Wheeler sleeving his tokens but not his deck. It creates feelings.
holy shit, it returns
That comment about playing constructed and kitchen table is what my friends and I have gotten to doing. We don't care about power anymore, we just wanna make goofy things and play cards

Wheeler with the "We have Berserk at home"
Does anyone know of any other content like this other then LRR? I love this stuff, could watch it for hours
I'd love to do this with my friends! It looks so much fun!!
Should've given wheeler Ahmonket block packs so he could open hollow one and have an excuse to make 5 color HollAtog again
1:59:00 Someone tell me that "I don't have Spell Peirce, in just sad." Got added to quotebot.
*buy's all the Wingmate Roc's!* GG's y'all, and thanks for the video :)
Next time y’all should drive to Card Kingdom and do the shopping
Beejlander AND LGS challenge back to back? Sweet
I have always thought it was "Birdwing Cloudbird", not "Birdskate" :D
We need more of these
Yes!! I love the LGS Challenges :)
The walk into yellow jacket was a reference to the old friday nights right? maybe "friday"
Am I the only one that wants to see them do something similar with commander with like 100-150 on budget
During Ben and Nelsons first game I looked away for like 3 minutes and came back to Ben mobilizing the entire forces of nature against Nelson and the guys he met behind the bar. Wtf.
Love this format. Disappointed to not get the Ben v Ben match
as a representative of Izzet I'll need Adam to apologize for laughing at the homie Ral Zarek
Gotta get in on ordering Uno Singles from Card Kingdom, y'all. Shipping is amazingly fast. And those rare blue Draw-4's aren't going to stay below $4 forever.
Just what I needed ty ❤️
The greatest mtg format.
That Kaya's Onslaught omg
what are those sweet sleeves? gotta get a pack.
It’s back baby!
