Metal Gear Solid 2 predicted the future. A.I. and the flow of information, particularly how it affects public and political opinion- the use of memes. Its wild!
People think these are predictions, the world is a stage and elitist plot every event throughout history. People in the entertainment industry have access to levels of information.
More than the use of memes, VR training and AI, it predicted an american president backed by russians that would openly grab people by the crotch. That's very specific.
I cant even fathom if mgs3s remake is successful, and they really do remake the entire series, what the Psycho Mantis or AI corruption scenes will be like on the newer consoles
It seems unlikely that Sniper Wolf is Quiet's daughter. Venom Snake was already sterilized by the Wolbachia infested vocal cord parasites by the time the two had any real feelings for each other. Also, Quiet had awakened the English strain of the vocal cord parasites, so she she went deep into the desert, where she could take her own life and because of the sandstorm, her body would be quickly covered by the sand and bury the the vocal cords parasites with her. They can't survive without a host, so they would inevitably die with her. As for Solid Snake being the Bad Guy and Big Boss being the Good Guy, I really think it's more complicated than that. Solid Snake was always a tool for those he was affiliated with. He never really had sense of morality, only a sense of duty. The will to see a mission done to the end. A robot following it's directives. I can't judge that he's good or bad, because it would be like judging a hammer for hitting a nail. As for Big Boss, his is a story that is truly tragic. He was a broken man by the end of Peace Walker. He knew he was too far gone. When he heard the Boss's wish to him to lay down his arms and live in peace. Not as a soldier, but as a man, his response was a choked sob and said: "I'm sorry. I can't." He hated the world that took her from him. He wanted to make a world where soldiers would never have to experience what she did. A hero, treated as a disposable tool for an uncaring government. And he was condemned for it.
Not only was she nowhere near preggo in MGSV, but she absolutely died in the desert after speaking, plus I am sure the vocal parasites would have affected Sniper Wolf IF she were to be this supposed daughter…
It would be interesting if Sniper Wolf was related to Venom Snake. It would explain some of her comfort in hearing Snakes voice when she was dying. Reminding her of Big Boss, but also how a voice of inspiration. Did Quiet know that Venom Snake was not Big Boss?
She definitely did. Pay close attention to the beginning when she turns up in Cyprus. When she's on the comms, she says "not yet. The one in the next bed saw my face." then proceeds to strangle you. She knows.
Brown hair plus brown hair does not equal blonde hair. On top of that, while it's _possible_ that they both passed down a recessive blonde hair gene to make a blonde kid, we're talking about a fictional story, that's never done, because it would be too much of an ass pull
@@lalitoes nah, even then, it's just something that you don't do in stories. I don't know exactly how to describe it, but it's some sort of gut feeling that tells me that this could never happen in a story, y'know? Think of it like the intuition that you have when playing a video game, when you see a wide open area and you can tell it's designed specifically so that a battle will happen here later on in the game, you know what I mean? It's the same kind of intuition that I have here.
As for the Quiet/Sniper Wolf theory: I don't believe that Wolf is Quiet's daughter. However, I do like to believe that Venom was the one who rescued her, not Big Boss himself. The timeline in general is kind of fuzzy for the post-MGSV/pre-MG1, but unless I'm missing something major, it certainly does fit. Big Boss returns to the U.S. for a while following MGSV, and Venom does his thing throughout the world acting as BB, so it would make it much more likely that Venom would be the one in the Middle East around the time of Wolf's childhood in the late 80s or very early 90s. The physical proximity to Venom's previous areas of operation also makes it likely that he would be in this area as well. Big Boss was a little more OK with the whole child soldier thing than Venom, so it tracks that Venom would try and rescue Wolf from a life of conflict like he (unsuccessfully) attempted to do with the African children. While on Mother Base she would undoubtedly hear about Quiet and her relationship with Venom, prompting her to learn more and wanting to be like her. Add in the fact that our goodest boy DD is probably still hanging around Mother Base, I could see her affinity for wolves starting there, too.
Big Boss fought to secure the individualism of soldiers , solid snake fought to secure individualism in its fullest sense like Big Boss quoted in his dying words ''to respect the will of others and believing in your own'' , ''not to change the world but to leave it as it is''. Freedom of Individualism in its fullest sense is said to be the Boss's will who mentored big boss and solid snake is said to be the one who achieved what the Boss wanted .
My favorite theory is the Ocelot is actually master planning the whole story from MGS3 and on. He is literally the right hand of nearly every major power is the series, until he sees the perfect time to become the main antagonist and achieve his outer heaven that his Dad and Mother (the sorrow and the joy) wanted. He also ended the cycle of bosses and snakes.
I beat games before when I was a kid but that was my biggest ever accomplishment to beat all of those missions from the VR metal gear solid game me as a kid I can't believe I did it to this day
@@England91 that game is a lot of money now well anyways my game wouldn't be a lot of money back then my CDs used to get scratched even though I took care of them somehow they would get scratched
@@Aeneiden it's like when some people try to hype their friend's achievements, and dismiss themselves a bit to make them seem more impressive. Except Otacon took it up a notch
Spoilers for mgsv. My understanding is Quiet dies shortly after that rescue mission in Afghanistan as she was carrying the English strain of the vocal parasites. Given she actually talks to give the helicopter their location and then goes into exile suggests she died. Miller in one of the tapes I think basically spills the beans that Quiet's objective was to spread the English strain on motherbase but ended up falling for Venom which is why she never spoke until she could save him.
Basically the whole series is a disagreement between the two most powerful Patriots: Big Boss and Zero. The guys who we played as and viewed as the main protagonist: Solid Snake, was actually unknowingly fighting for the wrong side in MGS , MGS2 and MGS4. Though he is still a hero because he had no idea what he was doing. Kind of crazy. The only interesting part of the saga left to tell would be The Boss and Cobras during WW2.
I always felt that Zero being the source of the Patriots a huge cop out and stretch. Guy goes from a british comedic relief into this ultimate evil just because, and all of this is just relayed to us through a 10 minute monologue, there is no character build up. MGS4 really felt like damage control, trying to make sense of things that weren't supposed to be explained at all (Patriots).
@@Atomicus_ We need a further exploration on Zero because a lot about this man is a mystery. And he's also one of the driving forces of the game's story.
One piece of dialogue that backs up the possibly of PS1 MGS being a VR experience as well, is at the beginning of the Big She’ll section of MGS2, Colonel says something to Raiden along the lines of “You can also shoot from prone, which is different from your VR training”. You could not shoot from prone in MGS on the PS1.
I like this Otacon theory and it becames more intersting for me after MGS V song Sins of the father, which is probably about Otacon's family. Cause the most sinful was Otacon's dad (for me he is real villain) and Otacon cleansed all sins of his family at the end of MGS4.
A lot to take in and connecting the dots if you think about it. The Metal Gear storyline is totally epic and as a fan, I followed this like a religion. Still love for Konami to create MGS anime starting from Snake Eater all the way to Guns of the Patriots
I have another theory I've always believed: Kojima never intended any game before MGS4 to be the last game. This is something that's always repeated in the community, but the dude was creating a huge overarching story that always left treads hanging and doors open to be answered later. Ocelot always leaving was the most obvious one, but there are other threads all the time. MGS3 is the most obvious to me, since it sets up a bunch of stuff that would be answered in MGS4 and that only ties up nicely with MGS2 after MGS4. The fourth one was definitely intended to be the last one, with all the main characters dying or being old as hell or both. Maybe he wanted to do something else, for sure, but he wasn't trying to actively abandon MGS until MGS4.
Here’s a theory that has been more than proven thanks to MGSV: Big Boss was indeed just as bad as the Patriots, and due to using Venom as a pawn for his own means just as much as Zero did BB/Solid Snake, the whole saga is about breaking free of control which was the Boss’ TRUE will!!!
One theory I’ve got about Metal Gear Rex is that it was built off of some parts of Metal Gear Sahelanthropus. The similarities you can see is that they both have impenetrable armor, the same head, they both have a railgun, they both have hook like toes and flat feat, and have a little turret as their private parts that shoot out a laser.
It is likely that all the data that came from weapons development by Huey (AI weapons from Peacewalker and over) was at the disposal of Hal, who tried to make it better but still adopted what worked.
especially the Sniper Wolf theorie and the "MGS2 is happening in VR" theorie...Sniper Wolf being Quite's daughter is just pure fan fiction in the sense that Quiet became so popular in MGSV but has no connection to the rest of the story so fans desperately want to create one. And MGS2 being VR, exactly like you mentioned, ignores so many obvious points it's actually ridiculous...I imagine it mostly stems from people not wrapping their head around that a *simulation* doesn't need to be virtual and being overwhealmed from the Arsenal AI taking over your codec but only after the point you entered Arsenal Gear. The Big Shell mission (and the Tanker mission) were both scripted to happen like they did but they used real places and real actors where everyone except Ocelot didn't know they were in a play. The most obvious ignored point is that MGS4 does exist and that the rumor that MGS2 was supposed to be the end is not true in the sense it's mostly taken for, Kojima was thinking about getting out but MGS was always supposed to continue...and MGS2 itself is the best proof of that, as it obviously sets up a sequel and not in a cheecky "to be continued?" way but a clear "oh no this isn't over yet!". I mean Ocelot got away, the Patriots were still a mystery and the winner of the whole scenario (and MGS2) was the Patriot's AI that promised to go into action now that their test was such a resounding success...the setup wasn't exactly subtle. And aside from that it's not really plausible for so many actors to conveniently sit in VR chairs to meet up on a virtual oil rig to play out a hostage situation just for Raiden to think it's real...that would be so unnecessarily convoluted. It just *was* real, that's it!
Raiden is us and the first game is the vr mission. Mgs2 has themes of being your own person, blazing your own trail. I think in addition to Kojima using this as a (failed) method of passing the torch onto the mgs team to develop a sequel without him at the helm, I think it was a message to fans as well, not to parrot the message of the mgs game but to interpret it and use it to move forward as a unique person with unique messages
The theory that Solid Snake is actually the bad guy is honestly pretty weak. Even Big Boss in his final moments admits that his goals and methods were wrong. He even goes as far as to say that Snake is finally the one to truly break the cycle created by the patriots. And sure maybe Snake got used by the government and by the patriots but so did literally every single character in the entire series.
Snipers can be trained from individual's talent and not have to be related, I'd accept more if Quiet and Sniper Wolf are different generation of the same schoolhouse, as encounter both of them as bosses, they fight the same way.
The idea that Quiet and Venom Snake are Sniper Wolf’s parents makes no sense to begin with. Sniper Wolf was born in 1983 and PP takes place in 1984. Not to mention, the real Big Boss took her under his wing later in life because of her abilities, brought her to the US, and helped her hence why she sees him as a savior when you first meet her in MGS1.
Head canon theory: METAL GEAR, METAL GEAR 2: SOLID SNAKE, METAL GEAR SOLID, METAL GEAR SOLID 2: THE SONS OF LIBERTY, METAL GEAR SOLID 4: GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS, and METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN are real missions in the METAL GEAR SOLID timeline. METAL GEAR SOLID: TWIN SNAKES, METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER, METAL GEAR SOLID: PORTABLE OPS, METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER, and METAL GEAR SOLID: GROUND ZEROES are VR simulation missions. METAL GEAR SOLID: TWIN SNAKES was part of the S3 program to train Raiden. METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER, METAL GEAR SOLID: PORTABLE OPS, METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER, and METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES were historical re-enacted VR simulated missions to train Venom Snake during the nine years he was in an induced coma.
i would agree for most of that but id say most of peace walker not all of it, cause if Venom had all the knowledge from peacewalker he wouldn't trust Kaz like he does cause Big boss no longer trusted Kaz after peacewalker
@Millium Good point. It might have been a real mission from that standpoint. Also, Ocelot wasn't present at all in PEACE WALKER, so it's highly possible that he wouldn't have been able to structure his simulation mission unless he was actually there, but in disguise. Also, there's a part of me that thinks that METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER was a VR simulation for Solid Snake role-playing as his father, Naked Snake/Big Boss. And METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER SUBSISTENCE was the simulation mission that Ocelot used on Venom Snake. The reason for the distinction is the appearance of the Orbital Frame Jehuty from ZONE OF THE ENDERS in Granin's office in METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER.
@@LucLightWolf121 I think most of the one like Twin snakes and Subsistence's are VR missions for other characters, though Ground Zeros has always been to me a VR mission for Venom just because one his shadow doesn't match big boss's, Two Kaz says in ground zeros that he should have never believed Paz's school girl trick but like i said earlier Kaz tells big boss at the end of peace walker he knew who Paz was and the Russian guy, And Three just Keither sutherland (i know he technically voices big boss in 5 as well but ive always put that down to Venom not hearing him right due to the injury's.
One thing the debunk Quite is Sniper wolfs mom, she dies from the vocal parasite soon as she talked to Pequod while giving her location to save venom snake
I always used to think the twin snakes vr theory was weird because I thought Raiden was playing Metal Gear Solid VR Missions. Although giving it a few more looks it would make sense especially for how dramatic the cutscenes are very anime actiony. People have been saying Ghost Babel is Raiden's first real appearance because of one line of dialogue at the end of the VR missions mentioning Jack.
There's a theory that MGS3 is also a VR simulation where Venom Snake is playing thru the Virtuous Mission and Operation Snake Eater during his hypnogogia. Calorie-Mate didn't exist in 1964 nor did the JFK Training Center where The Boss received her training both of those things reached popularity in 1984 when The Phantom Pain takes place and Colonel wasn't around as your commander so why hear him when you break the sim by killing Ocelot causing a Time Paradox?
that solid snake is the bad guy theory is hella weird. big boss was not a good man just because DD did some good things - he misinterpreted the boss' will to create a system of war so that soldier's would always be needed, kept child soldiers in MSF (chico), had multiple models of metal gears developed for his three attempts to make his outer heaven, and had one of his most loyal soldiers brainwashed for years. 8:54 calling big boss "possibly the greatest soldier and war hero of all time" is the boss erasure
1) Plausible but unimportant 2) Plausible because Ocelot was pulling the strings the whole way through, everything that happens until the end of 4 is part of the grand plan. 3) Implausible, the timeframes don't really line up. Wolf was most likely born before the events of MGSV 4) Plausible but only loosely, they just share political ideals 5) Plausible but reductive, Otacon would be powerless without Snake and vice versa 6) Implausible, Solid Snake is merely the end to a long line of failed attempts to control the world based on misunderstood ideals. 7) Implausible, the war economy is the side effect of Big Boss's interpretation of the Boss's will. It's basically the equivalent of billionaires who don't pay tax being the side effect of Reaganomics. 8) Plausible but only in the loose sense that it's a work of fiction.
I wanna instantly discredit the idea that Vemon is Wolfs dad even if Quiet is somehow the mother though that can also be discredited the same way Codetalker spesifically tells Venom that the wobakia that prevents the vocal cord parasites from reproducing will also make anyone who takes it also infertile another part of why Venoms life is a tragedy he can only ever be big bosses phantom never his own man he cant even pass on his own genes
It's amazing to see what big waves the mgs3 remake hits...No Wonder, Mgs Series is the most amazing Gaming Series ever made...i would love to see mgs 6 too
In the gamecube version of shadow moses, Sniper Wolf has the exact same style of boots as Quiet does, being left unlaced at the top of the ankles. I'd say its obviously a Hideo character continuation
Well, just like the Boss said: yesterday's good is tomorrow's evil. We have seen Big Boss's saga, then we are put into other perspectives with playing as Solid. Good or evil depends on which view you agree with. As for the war economy, is indeed Patriot AI gone haywire by deviating from their base protocol as stated by Big Boss in Arlington. Then on MGSV, we are shown the reason why; because Huey trapped Strangelove inside the AI pod core for Sahelanthropus, thus killing her by suffocating (as a mother, Strangelove disagrees with Huey who wanted to put Hal to pilot Sahelanthropus). With Patriots AI in the early stage of development, it was then entrusted to SIGINT (DARPA chief) to continue, which resulted in the war economy in the future.
I love the theory that solid snake was actually a bad guy and naked snake is the protagonist considering he's been in patriot control the whole time even killing the big boss.
A theory that actually might be true is that Quiet and The End are father and daughter. They both have the photosynthesis power and both are very skilled in sniping.
It's explained in MGSV, that Code Talker was given a sample of The End's body and well as The Pain's body, which were infested with unique parasites that gave them their powers. He then helped XOF develop the parasites to turn people into super soldiers. Quiet was one of them.
The one theory that I'm surprised wasn't brought up, mgs3 is a simulation used to train venom snake in mgs5. Using big boss' virtual mission, i mean virtous mission is what makes big boss big boss.
That first theory is correct but not for twin snakes ,Raiden was the user in metal gear solid vr missions for the ps1. It's why he know how to use a katana , you get to play a few missions as gray fox
The first theory is pretty close, but confirmed in mgs v. The psycho therapy that gives venom the memories and experiences of big boss. Where as "You the player" are Venom snake, and if you have played the previous games, you have all of big bosses and snakes experiences. mgs 3 "virtual mission?", "No, Virtues mission" where mgs 1 and 2 have VR training, and computers weren't advanced enough during the cold war to make VR. at least not to the public that we know of. Raiden, and snake, are both being controlled by the patriots. This was also confirmed in MGS 4. Snake is hired by the patriots to stop ocelot. Because Ocelot was trying to free man-kind of the system by taking control. mgs 3, the solder who talks to snake says he has a son named Johnny, who was in mgs one as the soldier that had his clothes taken by maryl, and Johnny and Maryl fall in love in mgs 4. Oticon is not the hero, OCELOT is the hero. Because it was Ocelot and hunter that hacked into the patriots and took control. Ocelot was the hero the whole time, Snake was working for the patriots the whole time... Patriots didn't glitch. the patriots were controlling the war economy because it keeps control of the humans, by killing them and keeping the human population under control. (which is a real thing) mgs 2 was real, but it was manufactured by the patriots to mimic mgs 1 to create another snake without cloning.
I love theory about Otaco developing twinsnakes as vr mission in anime styleXD But funny enought...first game is more likely to be simulation Also sniper wolf is quiet daughter? No! She's probably quiet herself!
I'll be the first to admit, I'm not a huge MGS Fan but I always thought MGS2 was flat out supposed to take place in a simulation. Like it wasn't even a theory, it was considered lore until MGS4 retconned it. Was it just an extremely common and popular theory that people considered to be true or was it implied heavily throughout the game that it was a simulation so much that it was considered canon, like I thought was the situation.
Ive seen the theory that assassins creed and mgs share the same universe. That was said after the crossover with ac1 in mgs4 where snake could wear altars robes. And considering mgs2 and 4s message i could totally see a company like abstergi existing and doing what they do with games and dna and pieces of eden controlling things. Who knows, the head of abstergo might be a patriot.
You want to know what's so crazy I had the VR game for PlayStation and I think it was like 300 I forget how much I think it was around there I did every single VR mission it took me a year and a couple months to do but I did every single mission it gave me a message at the end I don't remember what it said
Punished snake is not big boss. Big boss was trying to do something on his own while punished snake was keeping big boss’s name alive. Two separate goals
Venom Snake is his code name... He played big boss till Solid Snake killed him in The First Metal Gear Game... As the true ending shows that Venom Snake in the shower room looking at his reflection, If you listen carefully You hear gunfire in the background.. And that is suppose to be Solid Snake coming to finish off Big Boss... While The real Big boss (Naked Snake) Went to Find Zero and to stop the Fox Die Virus... Including the Cloning process.. Liquid and Solid including Solidus...
@jakethejapan5830 it doesn't.. Venom Snake was Playing The Role of Big boss in Metal gear solid 5 The Phantom Pain.. As he was the Medic in Ground zeroes.. He was fooled into thinking he was big boss, And Ishmael (the Banadage guy) Is voiced by David Hayter.. and he's the real big boss.. As He also disappears when you meet Ocelot in the prologue of the Phantom pain.. As it's revealed that he changed his face and indenty as it was his own mission to Find Zero and the mystery of the FOX DIE virus... And He sends Venom Snake a cassette tape named "The Man who Sold the World" which is him explaining the true plan to Venom before he faces Solid.. (Metal gear 1) As he gave everything to him, His group Outerheaven and diamond Dogs, His name, His memories including his skills... While Big Boss (Naked Snake) He has no knowledge of Elli (Liquid Snake) and David (Solid Snake) at the time when Eva gave birth to them 12 years ago.. (She comes back in MGS4 and is revealed to be their surrogate mother) And the Shadow Moses incident begins (Metal Gear Solid) after a few years from Metal gear 1 Which all leads up to MGS 4: Guns of the Patriots.. Where Naked Snake finally meets his Son/Clone Solid Snake after the events of MGS4.. And finds Zero after all the years searching for him... It's a whole heavy lore story of the Snakes in The entire Metal gear Franchise ..
The tanker episode in metal gear solid 2 sons of liberty is for a fact Raiden because if you don't do the tanker episode colonel Campbell will tell you how to swim but of you do the tanker episode he will say you've done this before more or less it's a fact
For mgs 1 kojima staff visit military bases and secretly took pictures. You have to wonder if that played apart in him having so much for sight into social media
The theory of it being a VR ..well for part of the time line does makes a lot more sense when you take into consideration that you the player had to control the game’s protagonist through a series of VR mission , that very : I know who I am. I'm the dude playin' the dude, disguised as another dude!
I always knew solid snake was an actual enemy of big boss and big boss was the real hero. Solid snake was hired by major zero’s organization to kill big boss. Liquid snake was the outcast who wanted big bosses approval and attention now playing MGS5 to see his side of the story.
The was no glitch in the AI. This is explained in the games. GW was destroyed in MGS2, so JD took over by time MGS4 came along. This is the reason for the war economy.
PS1 metal gear solid being the VR simulation makes more sense since some of the characters sound different and the graphics are the same as VR MISSIONS
Maybe its also a message for us, as people and consumers of the world, to stop worrying so much about AI and all the new stuff coming up, to let technology develop for us all to live. Of course, there is no way Kojima could've ever predicted this, but I'm assuming people back then also hoped they would have similar things nowadays, luckily it's true, but we are not advanced enough to be honest, there are many fields in the world that can constantly be improved upon. Hopefully some days pretty soon we get to experience some newer things, sooner rather than later.
Sniper Wolf was about in her 20s when she participated in the 2005 revolt on shadow moses. 2005 minus 20 years is 1985 and about in 1985. In 1988 during the al-anfal campaign her parents were killed. Quiet was also about 20 in 1984 (since MGSV takes place in 1984, 9 years after Ground Zero. So i think its a no for that theory. #MGSV #LetsPlayTurbo
No ones ready to here this but twin snakes is actually what really went down and mgs1 the is VR simulation and there are actually more ways to prove this than vice versa firstly mei lings voice actor in mgs4 when snake is going thru shadow Moses the lines your hearing while going down the elevator are the voice lines from The Twin snakes and the twin snakes has mei lings voice from mgs4 secondly the sniper rifle in mgs2 when snake is training raiden with the sniper rifle while in codec he tells raiden that "you can aim and shoot from the standing position not just the lying down like the VR training" don't quote me on the exact lines but it's very similar to what I said essentially telling us that in the VR training you can only shoot the SVD while lying down JUST LIKE MGS1 theres a few more minor details but overall all im saying is I find it much easier to believe snake did the things he did in twin snakes considering he was beating up characters that could tank nuclear bombs to the face and punching harder than the him the bomb since MG😭😭😭(frank yaeger) but anyway i rest my case
weirdly enough, AI is getting more and more advanced, and shit like this is going to be less in the realm of science fiction and more in reality as it progresses....
When MGS2 is only a simulation, what is the origin of the corpse of solidus snake, which is mistaken for the corpse of the still alive Big Boss in MGS4?
Metal Gear Solid was real Metal Gear Solid Twin Snake was the Vr, MGS2 was the testing of Raiden by switching his code name of SolidSnake to Raiden makes it all real just a test run of their product since Solidus does exist in MGS4 it also confirms it
Actually, the Twin Snakes would be the real events because Naomi and Mei Ling have the same accents as in MGS4. Yes, Mei Ling has a cameo in mgs2, but that is during the Tanker Mission which is probably a VR simulation. So the original MGS is actually Raiden playing through it. It is possible to debunk this theory with the fact that MGS4 uses cutscenes from the original MGS. I would pose that Konami just didn’t want all of the red tape when trying to put cutscenes from a GameCube and thus Nintendo exclusive game. I’m not trying to cause a flame war, this is just a theory I am posing. I am not saying you have to believe it and that it is gospel. Just having a bit of fun.
If they would ever bring the VR game back from metal gear solid would I do all of those missions again I think I would I'm not saying I'm going to be good at it but I will damn sure give it a try
Sniper wolf and quiet connection, all the soldiers including venom snake at mother base were made sterile by the treatment for the parasite outbreak, so big boss venom snake miller ocelot and every soldier that didn’t die could not have kids, code talker explained this
The AI was malfunctioning MGS 4? That was never my takeaway. I think it was more of an I-Robot situation. The AI was doing exactly what it was asked to do, but it was accomplishing it by unexpected and undesirable means. The AI was tasked with (among other things) maintaining a growing economy. The AI determined that the most effective way to do that was through perpetual warfare, "the war economy." It's not that far-fetched. Actually, I take it as a plained-faced reference to the military-industrial complex. The idea is simple. Major powers wage ceaseless wars in 3rd world backwaters. They do so through the use of Private Military Companies (PMC's) for 2 reasons. First, this provides some plausible deniability to prevent all out war between the powers. Second, the civilian populace is far less likely to revolt against perpetual war so long as it doesn't impact them directly (there's no draft, only well-paid volunteers). War is profitable because it requires large amounts of man power to support, soldiers and otherwise. Just think, you need scientific research (development), arms manufacturing (with extremely complex supply chains), resource procurement (to support manufacturing), and militaries to wage the war. Finally, you have to have the logistics and communications networks to support all of it. It basically is it's own self-perpetuating economy.
Same I love these games my favourite characters are solid snake revolver ocelot hal Emmerich Roy Campbell Mei ling raiden Naomi hunter frank jesuer aka grey fox, drebin Meryl, rosemary Emma emmrich

I'd be happy if we can atleast get metal gear solid 1 remake with the original voice actors not the twin snakes version
They aren't even doing new voice recordings for the remake. I wouldn't get your hopes up....

I might buy 1000 copies just to increase the chances of this happening
It just wouldn’t work with today

As for Big Boss, his is a story that is truly tragic. He was a broken man by the end of Peace Walker. He knew he was too far gone. When he heard the Boss's wish to him to lay down his arms and live in peace. Not as a soldier, but as a man, his response was a choked sob and said: "I'm sorry. I can't." He hated the world that took her from him. He wanted to make a world where soldiers would never have to experience what she did. A hero, treated as a disposable tool for an uncaring government. And he was condemned for it.
Sniper Wolf also says she is Kurdish in MGS1. Which means she is likely from northern Iraq or Turkey. Not Afghanistan which is where MGSV takes place
@@AsymmetricalCrimes she could have very well ended up in either of those two countries even while she was in Quiet's womb.
@@MavisRecon That wouldn't make her Kurdish. Kurdish is an ethnicity, not a nationality.

That quiet theory is more then far fetched
Made my head hurt.
Even more when they say in 5 everyone including venom cant have children due to the parasites treatment
Not only was she nowhere near preggo in MGSV, but she absolutely died in the desert after speaking, plus I am sure the vocal parasites would have affected Sniper Wolf IF she were to be this supposed daughter…
@@collegebro85 it’s not impossible that she survived since the parasite infect people’s lungs and Quiet literally didn’t need her barbecued lungs
@@collegebro85 I don't think she would have died in the desert but she most likely died not long after it as she said alot.
Sniper Wolf says she is Kurdish though in MGS1. Quiet is not Kurdish and neither is Venom Snake.
@@TheRealBlazingDiamondmaybe but its also games by Kojima lol
@@lalitoes nah, even then, it's just something that you don't do in stories. I don't know exactly how to describe it, but it's some sort of gut feeling that tells me that this could never happen in a story, y'know? Think of it like the intuition that you have when playing a video game, when you see a wide open area and you can tell it's designed specifically so that a battle will happen here later on in the game, you know what I mean? It's the same kind of intuition that I have here.
As for the Quiet/Sniper Wolf theory:
I don't believe that Wolf is Quiet's daughter.
We always said that twin snake is the version snake tells anyone while having a beer.
there is actually limited evidence to suggest that twin snakes is the canon events of shadow moses and mgs1 is raidens simulation
Its on TH-cam

@@DreamGod06 There's a ton of his tape recordings in MGS V
One piece of dialogue that backs up the possibly of PS1 MGS being a VR experience as well, is at the beginning of the Big She’ll section of MGS2, Colonel says something to Raiden along the lines of “You can also shoot from prone, which is different from your VR training”. You could not shoot from prone in MGS on the PS1.
It was really nice of Baker to aim for Solid Snake's kneepad when he wacked him in the leg repeatedly.
I like this Otacon theory and it becames more intersting for me after MGS V song Sins of the father, which is probably about Otacon's family. Cause the most sinful was Otacon's dad (for me he is real villain) and Otacon cleansed all sins of his family at the end of MGS4.
He also had some fun with his father's wife at the time, Emma's mother and his own stepmother.
He wanted others to carry the torch. He wanted to do other things.
My biggest issue with fan theories is how they tend to ignore pretty obvious points that clearly prove them wrong and ultimately amount to fan fiction
And then they say "well in my head canon, I like to think...."
especially the Sniper Wolf theorie and the "MGS2 is happening in VR" theorie...Sniper Wolf being Quite's daughter is just pure fan fiction in the sense that Quiet became so popular in MGSV but has no connection to the rest of the story so fans desperately want to create one.
@AgeofJP would it be kinda cool if Sniper Wolf was her daughter? Yea, it would, but there's no basis for the theory at all.
I always wanted them to make the game showing how Raiden worked with Big Mama to go save Sunny from the Patriots.
I'm happy with this analysis! 💙
MGS ended when Hideo Kojima left and started making delivery boy games.
Solidus didn’t, i see him as someone who could’ve done what snake couldn’t stomach
Head canon theory:
METAL GEAR, METAL GEAR 2: SOLID SNAKE, METAL GEAR SOLID, METAL GEAR SOLID 2: THE SONS OF LIBERTY, METAL GEAR SOLID 4: GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS, and METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN are real missions in the METAL GEAR SOLID timeline.
Raiden said he was trained in MGS VR Missions.
In MGSV, Vemom receives a shot for the parasites that rendered him sterile. He can't impregnate Quiet.
☝🏿🎯💯
Not if he impregnated her before the shot
@Hooddowntime I'd like that but they didn't grow that close in time until later
There's a theory that MGS3 is also a VR simulation where Venom Snake is playing thru the Virtuous Mission and Operation Snake Eater during his hypnogogia. Calorie-Mate didn't exist in 1964 nor did the JFK Training Center where The Boss received her training both of those things reached popularity in 1984 when The Phantom Pain takes place and Colonel wasn't around as your commander so why hear him when you break the sim by killing Ocelot causing a Time Paradox?
The games we play are simulations of the real events
Calorie Mates are in snake Eater because Kojima loves them and wanted a deal with them which lead to magazine ads in japan
Game Theorists made a video about that theory. It makes a lot of sense.
that solid snake is the bad guy theory is hella weird. big boss was not a good man just because DD did some good things - he misinterpreted the boss' will to create a system of war so that soldier's would always be needed, kept child soldiers in MSF (chico), had multiple models of metal gears developed for his three attempts to make his outer heaven, and had one of his most loyal soldiers brainwashed for years. 8:54 calling big boss "possibly the greatest soldier and war hero of all time" is the boss erasure
1) Plausible but unimportant
2) Plausible because Ocelot was pulling the strings the whole way through, everything that happens until the end of 4 is part of the grand plan.
3) Implausible, the timeframes don't really line up. Wolf was most likely born before the events of MGSV
4) Plausible but only loosely, they just share political ideals
5) Plausible but reductive, Otacon would be powerless without Snake and vice versa
6) Implausible, Solid Snake is merely the end to a long line of failed attempts to control the world based on misunderstood ideals.
7) Implausible, the war economy is the side effect of Big Boss's interpretation of the Boss's will. It's basically the equivalent of billionaires who don't pay tax being the side effect of Reaganomics.
8) Plausible but only in the loose sense that it's a work of fiction.
Venom snake was sterilised by the wolbachia smoke lol.
I wanna instantly discredit the idea that Vemon is Wolfs dad
even if Quiet is somehow the mother though that can also be discredited the same way
Codetalker spesifically tells Venom that the wobakia that prevents the vocal cord parasites from reproducing will also make anyone who takes it also infertile
another part of why Venoms life is a tragedy
he can only ever be big bosses phantom never his own man
he cant even pass on his own genes
If Kojima didn't make MGS4, then we'd have a Half-life 2 situation with MGS2.
No a single one of these "theories" wasn't beyond far fetched
A theory that actually might be true is that Quiet and The End are father and daughter. They both have the photosynthesis power and both are very skilled in sniping.
It's explained in MGSV, that Code Talker was given a sample of The End's body and well as The Pain's body, which were infested with unique parasites that gave them their powers. He then helped XOF develop the parasites to turn people into super soldiers. Quiet was one of them.

Treating vocal cord pararsites made diamond dogs sterile
(which is a real thing)
mgs 2 was real, but it was manufactured by the patriots to mimic mgs 1 to create another snake without cloning.
I love theory about Otaco developing twinsnakes as vr mission in anime styleXD
But funny enought...first game is more likely to be simulation
Also sniper wolf is quiet daughter?

The was no glitch in the AI. This is explained in the games. GW was destroyed in MGS2,
so JD took over by time MGS4 came along. This is the reason for the war economy.
"Ocelot was a triple agent"
More like octal agent.
PS1 metal gear solid being the VR simulation makes more sense since some of the characters sound different and the graphics are the same as VR MISSIONS
We need a standalone Decoy Octopus game

When MGS2 is only a simulation, what is the origin of the corpse of solidus snake, which is mistaken for the corpse of the still alive Big Boss in MGS4?
Hideo Kojima is a goddamn video game developer legend!
Acutally we know the Mission that Raiden played THe Side Missions of Ghost Bable once you cleared the Game is unlocked is Raiden Training
If they would ever bring the VR game back from metal gear solid would I do all of those missions again I think I would I'm not saying I'm going to be good at it but I will damn sure give it a try
I just loved playing the games. By MGSV, I didn't bother trying to understand the story anymore.
The only issue with mgs2 being scripted with VR is the solidus body in 4
Sniper wolf and quiet connection, all the soldiers including venom snake at mother base were made sterile by the treatment for the parasite outbreak, so big boss venom snake miller ocelot and every soldier that didn’t die could not have kids, code talker explained this
A correction, metal gear is NOT an nes game, it is an msx game that got a dumbed down port for the nes
The AI was malfunctioning MGS 4? That was never my takeaway. I think it was more of an I-Robot situation. The AI was doing exactly what it was asked to do, but
it was accomplishing it by unexpected and undesirable means.
The AI was tasked with (among other things) maintaining a growing economy. The AI determined that the most effective way to do that was through perpetual warfare, "the war economy."
It's not that far-fetched.
Interesting video, but most of these aren’t theories; they’re just speculation
Yes big boss slept with quiet tell me something I don't know. Although it wasn't apparent till some pretty significant events happened.
Everyone at Mother Base is sterile though, the treatment for the vocal cord parasite makes it so you can't reproduce.
Raiden talks about VR missions taking place in Afghanistan, I like to think maybe he’s done a few Venom missions.
9:23 uh wait wasn't it clearly explained in the game for this to be the case?
Same I love these games my favourite characters are solid snake revolver ocelot hal Emmerich Roy Campbell Mei ling raiden Naomi hunter frank jesuer aka grey fox, drebin Meryl, rosemary Emma emmrich
