    My ex has ptsd and turned into someone i dont recognize. Hes diagnosed with major depressive episode and has psychosis. He did betray me after a 28 year marraige so i can definitely say that mental illness can lead to betrayal and infidelity. But God will use it for our good. Sometimes the worst situations in life lead to a beautiful new beginning.

    Thankyou Kristen.......I recently discovered that my partner brought the affair partners into our "relationship." Of course, more were added......and yes he had a drug addiction as well that I did not know about either. For many months I blamed myself.....until I discovered this is a pattern of his. Unfortunately, he allowed me to feel the blame for many months. Very Cruel
    I thank you for your explaination Kristen.💖 He blamed his drug addiction and didn't have control...BUT, I told him that if he was out of "control" he would have done the behaviours in front of me......rather than sneaking off and doing it behind my back. The lies are the worst. Tired of being treated like a fool....I already feel like a fool for believing his bs when he was questioned. 😪

    What does one do when the betraying partner does not want to go or seek healing?

    • @KristinSnowden
      @KristinSnowden  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only you can decide how you want to move forward in a scenario like that, you will likely have to choose to try to heal either in or out of the relationship, with or without your partner.

    Hi Kristen, I’m a new follower and absolutely love your channel, my husband cheated for 6 years, he called it (friend with benefits) it was only sex, nothing else, he cut off all ties with her, and never thought I was going to find out, now he is remorseful, can you do a video about authentic remorse? I need to know if he really is remorseful and what exactly am I looking for, our counselor is not an infidelity specialist but says my husband is the “role model “ in his eyes trying to repair our marriage, please help with a video if you can and thank you for all your wealth of knowledge

      Maybe you both can read Out of the Doghouse by Rob Weiss. That might help you determine what “authentic recovery” might look like or feel like from a betraying partner. I’m sorry that you’re enduring such deep pain. You might want to also explore SexandRelationshipHealing.com

    Hey Kristin, I really enjoy watching your videos and I’m learning so much from them, I’m currently a psych major but abnormal psych is what interest me so I don’t know anything about relationship psychology, so thank you for these videos ❤️ I was wondering if you could make a relationship/couple video of independent personality with a love addict partner? Or any type of partner with an independent one. Thank you!

    • @KristinSnowden
      @KristinSnowden  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      can you define an "independent personality" or partner to me?

    • @squid.x
      @squid.x 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KristinSnowden thank you for the reply! What I mean by independent is a secure personality. How does a secure personality interact with a love addict. Thank you!

    Very nice stuff. My band and I professionally produced a new song in Chicago that we just posted on TH-cam that focus on a case of betrayal trauma and sexual addiction. Please click on the sleeping tiger to the left and it will take you right to the song. Thank you for listening, if you do.
