Tom, I think it would be a cool thing to see what were the results of the national team of the experiment country in future videos. Regards from Portugal 💪🇵🇹
I'm 13 seasons into a Wales save in FM22, started at Pontypridd in 2nd division and promoted and won a few leagues with them after 4-5 seasons. I then resigned after qualifying twice in a row for Europa League groups to take over TNS. I've since played Champions League 2 or 3 years, even managing to finish 3rd in groups this season and going to UEL (lost to Fiore in 1/4s). The reputation of the country and the league is growing every year and hopefully we will get direct places for UCL for winning the Welsh Premier league in a few years. Its a real cahllenge of a country to play in FM.
You need to find a country without transfer preferences, like for instance 99% of the signings the Welsh clubs make are from the UK. I'm not sure if its something you can remove or not, but build a nation saves can be made or broken by the transfers preferences of the teams in a league
Tom, you should try this with the Greek teams. It seems like they're doing very well in the Conference League and have even reached some finals in Europa. Cheers!
Austria would be interesting! It's a historically relatively strong league that has been dominated by one team for the last few years and has generally dropped a bit performance wise. It'd be cool to see if Austria could regain their top place in European football and produces legends similarly to Krankl or Polster.
Curious how far reputation could take a league, as in hard locking reputation at 10000 for several years, keeping the money the same but i feel the teams could get some good free agents with their reputation pull.
I think a lot of these experiments fail because of low number of active teams in a nation means only 100 or so regens for the whole country to share per season. Making the leagues giant and placing in all the non league teams may help a lot
Problem is that 50 mil a season.....isn't actually that much. They get more than that from the Premier League. So whilst it helped out in terms of their reputation by winning and doing slightly better in Europe.....it still didn't really give them the finances to co.pete at the top. Would of been interesting to see wage spends compared to other leagues etc...
Tom, you've done these experiments enough to know that even reputation isn't the sticking point. The AI is ret....uh, "developmentally disabled" and can rarely make good use of money, facilities, or sheer talent. Put a human at one of those teams and they're winning Europa Conference Leagues and perhaps even Europa Leagues within 10-15 years (even non-veteran human players).
Tom, As a New Zealand I'd be interested to see a Wonderkid scenario with our national team (which is pretty average) and focus both on the National Team but specifically on where those players would go and how Wellington Phoenix might perform as a result. Regards
As my wife is a kiwi I'd also love to see this. I often try and load in a NZ database but it's a really hard league to manage in as no-one wants to go there. Maybe giving each NZ team max youth ratings would be an interesting experiment?
An interesting experiment if possible would be to merge belgian and dutch championship to see if more subtops european teams together will make them bigger and more challenging compared to classic 5 leagues
I think you should do an experiment where you put the brazilian league in europe, and see how brazilian clubs fare in the champions league with the extra exposure
Hey Tom, I guess it will be hard to accomplish but a cool experiment will be to change the rules of all the leagues that only players with citizenship will be able to play in the league
Djurgårdens IF in a final of the uefa conference league, a team from the region I live which is Stockholm, Sweden. Djurgården actually plays good in eufa conference leauge.
@@kaspercederlund4393 I am not surprised at all since Djurgården mangaed to won it's group in the UEFA conference league and Djurgården came second with 57 points in the league only after Häcken a team from Gothenburg which got 64 points. Hammarby the team I support is from Stockholm and came third in the league with 56 points these three teams will have central matches next season of contental play due to the placement in the league. Both Hammarby and Djurgården did really good in 21/22 season of svenka cupen (swedish cup). Djugården lost in the semi finals to Malmö FF 0-1 and hammarby lost the final on penalties to Malmö FF. Malmö FF usually is a top 5 team but ended up 7:th in the league. Malmö FF is the team that denied Celtic Champion league for the 2015/2016 season. Malmö FF Is the team that has been in in the champions league 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2021/2022 and Europa league in 2018/2019 and 2022/2023.
The thing is, now with the league system u cannot go into Europa or Conference like you used to do in the group stages so the best teams in the league would always play in the UCL which is hard to win it because most players would want to play in top leagues so the only chance to win a Europa or Conference is if the 4th-5th best teams in the league go on and win it and that is pretty hard cause it's a big difference between the top 2 and the others in the league. It is really dumb that u cannot go into Europa or Conference anymore through the league system, i would hope that they make it as the loser of the knockout of UCL goes into Europa and the loser in the UEL goes into Conference somehow, or make it somehow that teams can go to UEL or UECL through the league system
Not sure if it is possible, but would be cool to see when you create a competition of dutch and belgian clubs and als put the National teams together. Surely they would be able to challenge the top 5 competition and have a serious shot at winning some world cups.
Would love to see you do a video where you try to give FC Andorra the means to win a Champions League. They’re the biggest club based in Andorra that currently play in the Spanish Second Division
Can you give a tutorial how to simulate so fast, my computer need 10 hours for 20 seasons, i haven’t change the settings because i don’t know the best settings
Here's a challenge, pick a club from outside the National League North/South, give them £50bn and then simulate 100 years and see if you can turn them into a powerhouse. I suggest Tamworth 😁
Try Finland! there is mod to get leagues available to all the way down to 6th tier! In these simulation videos there is quite often at least couple winners/finalists from Finland in european competitions and it would be interesting to see how they would do with big money.
Tom how do you set up these experiments? I tried to set up individual tv deals for each team in Scotland but for some reason never worked , never got any cash Injections, tried a few different ways and never worked.
I think it would be funny if did a billion euros TV deal with my home country Sweden, I believe it will be more different teams that will win the Swedish Premier Division and a European cup. 🇸🇪
A really interesting 1 to do would be the Liechtenstein clubs (if the Liechtensteiner Cup allows a tv deal?). See if their clubs can dominate Swiss football and do anything in the Conference League
maybe do Costa Rica next? teams from there have won the CONCACAF Champions Cup (precursor to the CONCACAF Champions League) 6 time, second most only behind Mexico
tbf 50 mil a season is not a lot of money for tv deals. last place in prem earn double that. you want to funnel money to like 4-5 clubs rather than 3 leagues
Hi Tom, I really enjoy your videos and concepts but I feel a quick watch of your end product video would be a good idea as you frequently make mistakes. Whether it's using the wrong word when trying to explain reputation, to staying only 1 Welsh team got to the final, but you can see there's been at least 4, saying Cardiff lost to Barcelona, but it held in Barcelona and they lost to Chelsea, which is an easy mistake to make but an easy one to rectify or I've seen a few of your videos, you make a mistake and restart the sentence, which is a great idea, but you don't edit out the mistake. It would just bring a little more quality to your content and hopefully move your channel forward. Best of luck!
try this with the rep of ireland, or you could do a north vs south style with northern ireland and republic of ireland see who becomes the more successful
Kinda wanna suggest Czechia (im from there so bias) but in all your expriments that go long they somehow have decent success in european football, so maybe giving them such money would work.
I'd be interested to see this applied to the Scottish League system. Celtic and Rangers would dominate to begin but I'm sure other teams would crop up along the way
You do realise the new format of the champions league once u hit the group stage u don’t drop into the lower European comps If this was the old format I reckon you would of hit different results and more wins

There not in the Welsh system

50M isn't that much, the PL TV deal usually gives top team at least 150 million each year
I'm more shocked about the Ryan Giggs Arena in Cardiff, Wales.
In my save with bournemouth we got an affiliation with puskas academia and they seem like a good club to loan players to
Thanks Tom, I am so glad you decided to do the video. Even when I sent the idea too many times
