I grind my teeth at night. Thankfully, I found the Oral-B Nighttime Dental Guard, which helps protect my teeth from further grinding. Here's the link amzn.to/3w7xvWJ

Thank you! I have mine custom made by a dentist and I have TMJ from the grinding. This would be a great back up!! My customs are $200 after insurance 😅

I too had a custom one made by my dentist. Used it for a few years. Then, one year, my dentist told me I needed a root canal. I don’t have any cavities and was shocked. My custom one from my dentist, had worn all the way down, causing my teeth to grind, killing the root of one tooth.
When I went in for the root canal, they said my roots were too small for their smallest tool. The tooth had to be removed and I would need an crown implant. It took 11 months from tooth removal, to the implant, to the crown going in, due to needing the bone to heal. My teeth had shifted, removal was awful and extremely painful. They had to break the tooth they were removing because all of my other teeth were healthy. They didn’t want to damage any others. I can still hear the sound of the tooth breaking.
Total cost by the end of everything, because my dental insurance only covers up to $1,000 per year, then you’re left to cover anything dental insurance doesn’t (works differently than health insurance), was $3,000 out of pocket.
My custom made ones were also expensive and they should be replaced every so often so as to not go through what I did. The Oral-B ones are really affordable and can easily be replaced every 3-6 months, or whenever they begin to grind down.

It seems to be a good product and definitely much cheaper than a custom made one which I'm currently using and about to replace soon. Would you recommend this one as a viable alternative?

It is a very helpful product. I killed a tooth due to grinding. I have zero cavities, have always taken really good care of my teeth, so I was SHOCKED when my dentist said I killed a tooth and would need a root canal, due to my grinding. I had a very old dentist product that was molded from my teeth that had worn down completely, allowing my teeth to scrape against each other.
Went in for the root canal with an endodontist. He used his smallest tool to try to do the root canal and couldn't get in there. He had to pull my tooth, which was hanging on for dear life. I now have a crown, which looks just like my teeth...until you see the X-ray. I look like I'm part Terminator.
Needless to say, the entire process cost a few thousand dollars, which I could've saved, had I been using the Oral-B guard earlier.
Be sure to get a new Oral-B guard around every 6-12 months. It'll wear out as you grind.
