Talking about future, there is also the possibility of characters in the future that will also give party wide effect res. Imagine both aventurine and them in the same team. There is also the fact that IPC seems to be FUA characters hence aventurine will always have synergy with them someway. Let's just say, devs saw the potential of Aventurine fua escalating with future chars that they needed to put a cap on his fua. It used to be limitless before it was capped. Right now with Dr ratio and Topaz, he could deal close to 2.5 fua attacks. Now imagine slotting a future buffer/debuffer that also does fua. The devs wouldn't have cared with the cap if his fua was insignificant.

Houhou is WWWAAAAYYYYY better than Adventurine in DOT team, and generally you have FX, even if you're looking for Shielder Gep and Fire MC already fill that niched.
Aventurine's DPS is highly dependent on him/his team being hit so he can launch his FuAs. CN Analysis indicates he can launch about 4.5 FuAs every 3 Aventurine turns. 6 FuAs if he's paired with a Dr. Numby setup. He can actually deal quite a bit of damage, IF buffed by one or two harmonies/nihilities. Huohuo's Ult can be up and running within 1 skill usage, and can buff a duo-carry or even a hyper-carry right away and possibly get them their ults early. By the time 3 Aventurine turns have gone, a properly built-team with Huohuo in it is likely to have already 0 (2-turns) or 1 (3-turns) cycled the first half of MoC 12. Buffing a carry (or two) does more for your damage than adding an unbuffed sub DPS in your team. So, no - Huohuo is still the most aggressive sustain unit in the game because her buffs are still too powerful (Ult and S1) thanks to how absurdly the game amplifies damage from buffs and other sources, which results in higher overall damage numbers in a team. A team with Huohuo in it does around 20% more total team damage. An FuA team setup of Dr. Numby with Aventurine in it "can" also do around 20% more damage with aventurine in it, but then Aventurine teams would have to worry about his crit stats, element matching for Ratio, Topaz and Aventurine, etc. Huohuo's buffs are nearly unconditional in comparison.
I've been followup focused the whole time the games been out because of Jing Yuan. Very hype for aventurine and more follow-up characters regardless of power level.
My Luocha keeps party alive all the time, 4,3k def Gepard easily failed to do it on insect weekly boss so i would say abundance>preservation in some cases FuXuan combines both tank and healer thats why she's OP
Great vid, as a veteran genshin player (lol) but hsr 2.0 player, I can already see the similarities you mentioned between the sustain characters, and those points were all weighed out in my own mind while pulling/deciding to save pulls. It’s fun/helpful seeing those points being reiterated by a more knowledgeable player haha It’s fun watching your vids from the perspective of resource management, which hsr completely is (which adds to the fun of pulling characters). Also, considering hoyoverse’s perspective in how they’ll likely shape the meta in a way that helps sell the latest characters is pretty smart and interesting to listen to.
One very important thing people should note-every single limited sustain in the game has roughly the exact same clear times. Yes, Luocha and Huohuo have the same average clear times in the same teams. So just pick whoever you like the best, because they all perform statistically basically the same.
i got huohuo bc i couldn't wait for luocha to rerun i needed a better sustain asap bc nat was having trouble keeping up i have no regrets pulling her she sticks to all my teams like glue and even when i play on my friend's acc (they have both huohuo and luocha) it proves to me i was right to pull for huohuo bc i kinda struggle with luocha esp when it comes to getting cc bc if he's the one to get cc everyone dies plus i always thought he would autoheal 100% of the time based on what everyone says he only does it once every 2 turns so in harder moc levels i still have to use skill points on him on my friend's acc while huohuo still only needs them obce every 2 turns it's a lot easier to take cc with her bc she'll cleanse the ally as soon as their turn comes so they can still have their turn so imo huohuo is worth waiting for if you need a healer ofc outside that harder content luocha is good too but i do care about moc so to me huohuo is better as for preservation i think aventurine will be better than fu xuan bc while yes he can't cleanse his shields are still very strong and stackable plus if your supports have 50% effect res he'll give them cc immunity basically so it's only your dps you gotta worry about he's def the better option in su over fu xuan if you play to do swarm/g&g bc fu xuan can go from 11k hp to 0 with 1 aoe attack yes i've seen it happen but with aventurine you don't have to worry about aoe attacks bc it'll just give him blind bet stacks he's basically like a better gepard tbh as for fu xuan she has the benefit of cleanse but i'm not sure how her cleanse works would be nice if it's like huohuo's where as long as matrix is up she'll continually cleanse but i really don't know how she does it tbh i know this video is aventurine vs huohuo but really they're both the best in their respective paths imo so i highly recommend them both depending on whether you need a healer or a shielder more and your prefered playstyle
Problem with gold and gears are enemies really hit hard especially conundrum 12 your shields will be torn. I think if you got the destruction blessing that distributes the dmg evenly. Adventurine will be better.
People are sleeping on Huohuo. Yeah she is a bit more sp hungry than other sustainers, but that multi man cleanse is just so godly imo. Aventurine yeah probably gonna be the best shielder powercreeping Gepard. Still both have their uses and are very strong sustain options. Unless newer characters are going to be like Acheron where they dont need energy for their ult, then Im still leaning towards my scared foxian healer

I have the same predicament, I need another sustainer aside from Fu Xuan and I'm thinking of getting Huohuo but my teams are mainly Nihility (I have Kafka, BS, Acheron) and if the leaks about Jiaoqiu (the next Nihility 5*) who will be hybrid and will decrease defense in multitarget while being able to heal is true, then it's the perfect sustain I need 😭 I'm saving for him but not sure what I'll do if HH rerun comes first.
@xiaoli6355 from just my guesses if Jiaoqiu is next then you should be able to see gameplay of him the first week of 2.3 being out. So you'll have time to see his kit and everything else and if it meets your expectations you can decide whether to pull Huohuo who could be getting a rerun 2.3 or him. This is of course if leaks are right and he's the next characters gotta wait till Monday to see
CC prevention can be better than cleanse because if you rely on cleanse your units can be pushed back in the turn order due to slow. Also with the cleanse if they have multiple debuffs it might cleanse the wrong one.
@@rou620 she can auto heal/cleanse your ally again when your ally using ultimate, and huohuo's stack can be refill everytime she using her skill, it's not misleading
huohuo is the best abundance char so far, no contest. doesn't need a fancy lightcone for cleanse and heal the team. she's even more valuable after sparkle, even more skill point positive and easier to sustain the unit. pulling her was one of the best decisions i made. i still have my reservations on aventurine but we'll see tomorrow once the banner is up
I still remember being worried that hh would be a downgrade from Luocha but oh man I was so wrong I rly like Luocha but I gotta give it to hh insane sustain and how it’s comfy to use in the sense that you don’t worry about hitting the enemies to get healed and just take a turn, her anti cc is honestly the best some will argue that cc block is better which yeah but honestly preventing it once is not much compared to 6 cleanses it’s so strong that i didn’t even notice that most of the stuff some enemies apply can be removed only. My favourite part about hou hou that gives me child-like joy is seeing weird interaction that we see with her cc cleanse. Like Kafka dominate you and advance forward only for that unit to get a free turn. And against the swarm king when his summoned bugs are targeting the entangled ally and suddenly that unit loses its entanglement and bugs go back to normal targeting again
I'm definetely getting Aventurine, But one thing I can say is I currently have a E0S1 HuoHuo who is very invested relic wise and essentially every Moc10-12 run I've done and Golden gears/Torturous difficulty SU, whatever side/team HuoHuo is on, death is never even a question or possibility for that side/team, it just becomes "Now how fast / how many cycles can I complete this in", I say this because as of right now, whichever team DOESNT have HuoHuo on it has a decently invested E2 Bailu on it with her standard 5 Star LC, and the team that Bailu is with its always a question of if her technique invigorations are gonna run out before the enemy even moves again, her RNG heals, no cleanse, basically its just never a garuntee with Bailu how it is with HuoHuo. Whenever allies use an ultimate, they get healing from HuoHuo, off-turn cleanses, attack buffs, decent breaking with how many times she attacks, energy batteries the team, and has a 3 person massive skill heal. This kinda doesn't really have anything to do with Aventurine vs HuoHuo, I'm just heavily advocating for HuoHuo in general. Once I get Aventurine I feel like Aventurine and Huo Huo are the 2 permanent sustains I can have to cover each side of the moc 10-12 without having to cripple one side with Bailu lol
I'm in almost the exact same situation. Huohuo and Bailu (but I actually ended up training Lynx which tbh wasn't the best idea but it did help with some cleanse situations), where Huohuo basically is all-around a beast and Bailu ends up being a disappointment. This video made me a little worried about cleansing when I'm with Aventurine, tho.

Build proper supporting units with Broken Keel (already 30% Eff res) and then add his 50 to it and you have an extremely high chance to resist -everything-. Will you fail? Possibly, but its reduced drastically - only your DPS will be "Openly" prone to CC but that's life, HH has the same problem cos CC pushes you back a lot if it lands, dispelling it afterwards is /whatever. No sustain is perfect so if you're looking for that, you'll never pull a character
I know when people say Huohuo can "battery" other characters they mean charge up like a battery does, but it also means attack. So I always picture Huohuo smacking characters with her flag and running away 😂
I started this game when huo huo banner dropped and got her by chance, didn't realize how lucky i was because her value just keeps increasing as my account grows. she really is a blessing for my Ruan mei, SW and DHIL
Maybe I'm just bad, but every once in a while my DPS gets nuked 4x in a row and there's nothing Huohuo can do to stop it. It stresses me out and makes me think Huohuo is worse than she is even tho it's honestly lazy/focus issue. But, lets not forget preservation also has increased aggro which is important for everyone not trying to 0 cycle.
I feel that's mostly just getting unlucky, but that is a potential downside to Huo Huo. The most she can do is when a unit is below 50% HP, any ultimate cast will heal everyone below 50%, so it is kinda an emergency heal. If I'm worried about a character getting focused, I'll save 1 ultimate to heal them, which generally is about 1000 HP or so. Usually enough to keep them alive.
I’m the exact same. I never feel “safe” with Huo, frequently you’re in situations where you’re teetering on the edge of death. She’s one of the least comfy 5 star sustainers honestly.
u always need to have 1 or 2 ult ready, to play around her talent. Yes holding ur ult sucks cuz all the wasted energy, but hey she can charge ur energy for ur whole team too, she was never designed to be a comfy sustain unit like luocha, where u can just turn off ur brain and let him do the work.
Gallager is bad on auto but if you dont mind paying a tiny bit of attention you can just manual tap his ult after his turn with one click, and now hes a perfect basic bot and you can always get perfect usage out of his action advance! bandaid solution but its still basically full auto and he cant hold his ult forever if you just do it yourself from time to time lol

I'm currently thinking about getting HuoHuo in the future. I already have Fu Xuan and I'll be pulling for Aventurine. Rlly don't know if it's worth owning 3 5* survivability characters.
as a huohuo fu xuan adventurine haver i think its nice to have 3 different types of sustains for the future content. We dont know what type of content hoyo is going to add and therefore i think its nice to have all type of sustain ready for it especially if you are fan of autobattle!
Even though energy regen is useless for Acheron, HuoHuo’s attack buff from her ult is still useful for Acheron. HuoHuo is by far one of the best sustain we have. She’s not just sustainer but also a sub harmony. And I think this is what we should view sustainers now, they can sustain while also providing useful utilities. The utility for future sustainers will make or break their viability and usefulness. Now with Aventurine here, I can free up my HuoHuo for the second team! Going for his e0s1 so he can work well with Acheron.
The question is not who the stronger, but who is the most suitable. We have so many team comp, and so many enemies. Huohuo can heal and cleanse per allies turn. This effect can last for 2 turn, and usually I use her skill every 2 turn. And her LC is OP, every allies use their ultimate, the lowest health will be healed, and buff attack everytime they healed. Dont forget she can refill your energy. She suitable with need fast refill energy team, DOT team, vs so many cc enemies and not vs 1 hit massive damage enemies. Aventurine for the first turn, give shield to all allies for free (Fu Xuan, Huohuo and Fire TB need to use their skill first). He can debuff enemy from his ultimate and his skill (with his LC). Buff effect resist. And can do FUA. He suitable at FUA team, Acheron team, and vs 1 hit massive damage enemies.
I honestly think that pulling E0 HuoHuo is the best decision in hsr for me. I guaranteed to survive any moc stage in bring her in with ease, even better than FX.
These two are my next two pulls lol. Aventurine for acheron team/PF FU team, and hoping Huohuo for DoT team will come in 2.3 so i can skip 2.2 and save some jades
I use houhou with acheron , black swan and superspeed guin and I'm loving it so far...and tbh except of the FUA part, gepard - who is a standard character - is not far behind aventurine
Huo^2 strength is that she's a harmony unit that can heal. That in itself is desirable for literally every team that isn't Acheron (wants geppie+market lc), Jing Yuan (wants FX eff res), and Blade/Clara (want Lynx for Taunt buff). Ofc there is also yanQueen and arLost, but uh why are you using them?

I want to build a dr ratio team in the future. I will pull on the topaz rerun when it eventually comes. I already have the ruan mei but I still need to think about sustain. I can either pull aventurine now and use the Gepard Lightcone or get Huohuo whenever she has her re-run. Which would you recommend to get. I don't have any preferences but I still want the best choice.
Huohuo’s the only character that i regret skipping, too bad her banner was utterly abysmal. Offensively speaking, Huohuo as a “sustain” that can buff is unparalleled. Aventurine’s definitely a better traditional sustain, and characters like Acheron don’t care for the energy anyway. It really just depends on what you’re trying to achive, some team uses one of them better than the other, just pick who you like better. edit: and tbf, there’s really no such thing as “long-term investment” in this game. The next character will just 1 up the characters before, from pure numbers, or from enemy types. They could very well make future enemies counters traditional shielder, then sell a newer sustain that’s just “better” for that content. Though, there’s no point in getting too worried about it, the game’s easy enough that people’s still clearing Aventurine boss with March as a tank,
not really, while FX weakness is technically AOE dmg, her dmg reduction is just too strong, like Shield may provide you with higher HP, but without the defense to actually keep it then you're screwed either way, thats the problem with Gep (need Ulti for shield) and Fire MC (way too low shield efficiency). Not to mention that she can also heal herself (and the team) by her Ulti, which if you whale enough, will be up like every 2 rotation even if she just skill once per 3 turn.
Honestly been waiting another sustain after luocha. And I want a preservation rather than abundance (that's why i skip huohuo). I skipped FX bc Jingliu. And now there's a new preservation and synergy with FUA?!?!?! I gotta pull him
I find is so funny that people used to crap so hard on HuoHuo. So many people passed on her due to a lot of the content creators saying that she wasn't worth it. I was so glad that I didn't listen and pulled for her.
People sleeping hard on Luocha 😂😂😂. Bro's carried me from the start of the story till the aventurine boss fight within 2 weeks. Now I'm stuck on aventuine cuz my dps have shit relics. Luocha doesn't allow any teammate or himself to die. He heals, cleanses, removes buffs, heal dimension, sp friendly. He's the most overlooked 5 star it seems
Huo^2 better for generalist team, and pretty much anything other than FuA. Aventurine better for FuA. Expensive team. Topaz, Jade, Aventunrine, LC for topaz and aventurine. just a lot of cost. Ratio is free.
on the other hand, get S1 on Topaz and Aventurine and the game is completed for you. legit, FUA team is one of THE most powerful low investment team in the game and can bruteforce pretty much the entire game
I play for 2 weeks and for now im going to pull for aventurine and then for topaz (im in love with fua characters) But i'll try to get huo huo too, bailu e1 doesnt do it for me

I have c1 gepard, im thinking about who to pull next. Lost most of the meta charactera while absent from the game, pulled for archeron and her s1 and im using gepard, sw and pela with her. Should i get aventurine so i can switch gepard ? Or i pull for ruan mei/ huo hu? Planning on pulling for firefly/sam as well so i need to be cautious with my next pulls.
With this team? If you want the premium team, yes. Pull for Aventurine since he can give a debuff. If you don't really need him, Gallagher is a good substitute instead.
I wonder, should I go for e1 fu xuan on he re run? (I know pros and cons of aventurine, and while ppl say he’s the best, I know my Fu xuan our scales aventurine in my current comps, and I really am tempted by that 30% crit dmg for the team for e1.) Should I go for it, or Robin?

just my opinion but unless youre pulling for topaz, i think huohuo is better because she has a good synergy with blade, jing yuan, and black swan. if you get topaz tho, then a ratio/topaz/ave is very good aventurine is not that good with blade since he wants healing, jing yuan is good with aventurine since he doesn't like CC, aventurine's debuffs does not work well with Black Swan (iirc) still, both are extremely good! pick who u want and you'll never regret it. tho with your current dps, im leaning with huohio
priority you need 1 more sustain either huo huo/fuxuan/lynx, just 1. Kafka best for you, kafka rerun is a must since you have Black swan ready support is secondary, tingyun enough for now team 1: balde, bronya, luocha, flex choice team 2 : JY/ratio, tingyun/limited 5 support, asta/pela, lynx/any lim 5 sustain
I’d say huo huo or aventurine (equal value as your missing another 5 star sustainer), then topaz in that order of priority. Your current characters have lots of follow up and could benefit from any of these characters since they are either synergistic or buff follow up potential in some way. Your blade bronya luocha is a great comp to have as your secondary team so you just need to finish that follow up comp.
Aventurine vs Gepard would be more intersting for me because I use Gepard/Trend for Acheron. I am still unsure if Aventurine is a upgrade woth to pull?
@@HazZzel- No, not everything. He does not have Geprads better aggro and that is important for Trend/Acheron. And Gepard has freeze. Shields maintaining seems to be better with Aventurine. Gepards Ultimate is kind of limited.
Feels like they aren't that too far apart in Acheron teams. Aventurine would have more value in teams that actually utilize his FUA and teams with teamwide buffs, like having Ruan Mei who buffs everybody in the team.
Interesting how Jingliu's AI is also horrendous especially on its ult usage but she's still considered great but Gallagher is not that good for the exact same reason. Then again, DPS and Sustain are two completely different roles so I get it.
Unpopular opinion. I have huohuo and I think she's useless. She's a bad healer and her energy restoration is just too low to cover lack of sustain. It's just my opinion don't come for me
A well built huohuo should be able to sustain your whole team while still offering atk buffs and 25% energy restoration for all allies, literally no healer in the game competes with her support abilities rn. If you still die and want a strong sustain just build 5k defense aventurine idk lmao

One very important thing people should note-every single limited sustain in the game has roughly the exact same clear times. Yes, Luocha and Huohuo have the same average clear times in the same teams. So just pick whoever you like the best, because they all perform statistically basically the same.

i got huohuo bc i couldn't wait for luocha to rerun i needed a better sustain asap bc nat was having trouble keeping up i have no regrets pulling her she sticks to all my teams like glue and even when i play on my friend's acc (they have both huohuo and luocha) it proves to me i was right to pull for huohuo bc i kinda struggle with luocha esp when it comes to getting cc bc if he's the one to get cc everyone dies plus i always thought he would autoheal 100% of the time based on what everyone says he only does it once every 2 turns so in harder moc levels i still have to use skill points on him on my friend's acc while huohuo still only needs them obce every 2 turns it's a lot easier to take cc with her bc she'll cleanse the ally as soon as their turn comes so they can still have their turn so imo huohuo is worth waiting for if you need a healer ofc outside that harder content luocha is good too but i do care about moc so to me huohuo is better as for preservation i think aventurine will be better than fu xuan bc while yes he can't cleanse his shields are still very strong and stackable plus if your supports have 50% effect res he'll give them cc immunity basically so it's only your dps you gotta worry about he's def the better option in su over fu xuan if you play to do swarm/g&g bc fu xuan can go from 11k hp to 0 with 1 aoe attack yes i've seen it happen but with aventurine you don't have to worry about aoe attacks bc it'll just give him blind bet stacks he's basically like a better gepard tbh as for fu xuan she has the benefit of cleanse but i'm not sure how her cleanse works would be nice if it's like huohuo's where as long as matrix is up she'll continually cleanse but i really don't know how she does it tbh i know this video is aventurine vs huohuo but really they're both the best in their respective paths imo so i highly recommend them both depending on whether you need a healer or a shielder more and your prefered playstyle

Problem with gold and gears are enemies really hit hard especially conundrum 12 your shields will be torn. I think if you got the destruction blessing that distributes the dmg evenly. Adventurine will be better.
Running aventurine, you'll need to snag the shield multiplier 3* preservation blessing and maybe the damage sharing 3* destruction blessing.

People are sleeping on Huohuo. Yeah she is a bit more sp hungry than other sustainers, but that multi man cleanse is just so godly imo. Aventurine yeah probably gonna be the best shielder powercreeping Gepard. Still both have their uses and are very strong sustain options. Unless newer characters are going to be like Acheron where they dont need energy for their ult, then Im still leaning towards my scared foxian healer

I have the same predicament, I need another sustainer aside from Fu Xuan and I'm thinking of getting Huohuo but my teams are mainly Nihility (I have Kafka, BS, Acheron) and if the leaks about Jiaoqiu (the next Nihility 5*) who will be hybrid and will decrease defense in multitarget while being able to heal is true, then it's the perfect sustain I need 😭 I'm saving for him but not sure what I'll do if HH rerun comes first.
@xiaoli6355 from just my guesses if Jiaoqiu is next then you should be able to see gameplay of him the first week of 2.3 being out. So you'll have time to see his kit and everything else and if it meets your expectations you can decide whether to pull Huohuo who could be getting a rerun 2.3 or him. This is of course if leaks are right and he's the next characters gotta wait till Monday to see
CC prevention can be better than cleanse because if you rely on cleanse your units can be pushed back in the turn order due to slow. Also with the cleanse if they have multiple debuffs it might cleanse the wrong one.
Huohuo can cleanse debuff 6 times

huohuo is the best abundance char so far, no contest. doesn't need a fancy lightcone for cleanse and heal the team. she's even more valuable after sparkle, even more skill point positive and easier to sustain the unit. pulling her was one of the best decisions i made. i still have my reservations on aventurine but we'll see tomorrow once the banner is up

I still remember being worried that hh would be a downgrade from Luocha but oh man I was so wrong I rly like Luocha but I gotta give it to hh insane sustain and how it’s comfy to use in the sense that you don’t worry about hitting the enemies to get healed and just take a turn, her anti cc is honestly the best some will argue that cc block is better which yeah but honestly preventing it once is not much compared to 6 cleanses it’s so strong that i didn’t even notice that most of the stuff some enemies apply can be removed only. I’m getting aven tmw and I hope he’s great I rly enjoy sustains
My favourite part about hou hou that gives me child-like joy is seeing weird interaction that we see with her cc cleanse. Like Kafka dominate you and advance forward only for that unit to get a free turn. And against the swarm king when his summoned bugs are targeting the entangled ally and suddenly that unit loses its entanglement and bugs go back to normal targeting again

I'm definetely getting Aventurine, But one thing I can say is I currently have a E0S1 HuoHuo who is very invested relic wise and essentially every Moc10-12 run I've done and Golden gears/Torturous difficulty SU, whatever side/team HuoHuo is on, death is never even a question or possibility for that side/team, it just becomes "Now how fast / how many cycles can I complete this in", I say this because as of right now, whichever team DOESNT have HuoHuo on it has a decently invested E2 Bailu on it with her standard 5 Star LC, and the team that Bailu is with its always a question of if her technique invigorations are gonna run out before the enemy even moves again, her RNG heals, no cleanse, basically its just never a garuntee with Bailu how it is with HuoHuo. Whenever allies use an ultimate, they get healing from HuoHuo, off-turn cleanses, attack buffs, decent breaking with how many times she attacks, energy batteries the team, and has a 3 person massive skill heal. This kinda doesn't really have anything to do with Aventurine vs HuoHuo, I'm just heavily advocating for HuoHuo in general. Once I get Aventurine I feel like Aventurine and Huo Huo are the 2 permanent sustains I can have to cover each side of the moc 10-12 without having to cripple one side with Bailu lol
I'm in almost the exact same situation. Huohuo and Bailu (but I actually ended up training Lynx which tbh wasn't the best idea but it did help with some cleanse situations), where Huohuo basically is all-around a beast and Bailu ends up being a disappointment. This video made me a little worried about cleansing when I'm with Aventurine, tho.

Build proper supporting units with Broken Keel (already 30% Eff res) and then add his 50 to it and you have an extremely high chance to resist -everything-. Will you fail? Possibly, but its reduced drastically - only your DPS will be "Openly" prone to CC but that's life, HH has the same problem cos CC pushes you back a lot if it lands, dispelling it afterwards is /whatever. No sustain is perfect so if you're looking for that, you'll never pull a character
I know when people say Huohuo can "battery" other characters they mean charge up like a battery does, but it also means attack. So I always picture Huohuo smacking characters with her flag and running away 😂

I started this game when huo huo banner dropped and got her by chance, didn't realize how lucky i was because her value just keeps increasing as my account grows. she really is a blessing for my Ruan mei, SW and DHIL
Maybe I'm just bad, but every once in a while my DPS gets nuked 4x in a row and there's nothing Huohuo can do to stop it. It stresses me out and makes me think Huohuo is worse than she is even tho it's honestly lazy/focus issue. But, lets not forget preservation also has increased aggro which is important for everyone not trying to 0 cycle.
I feel that's mostly just getting unlucky, but that is a potential downside to Huo Huo. The most she can do is when a unit is below 50% HP, any ultimate cast will heal everyone below 50%, so it is kinda an emergency heal. If I'm worried about a character getting focused, I'll save 1 ultimate to heal them, which generally is about 1000 HP or so. Usually enough to keep them alive.

I’m the exact same. I never feel “safe” with Huo, frequently you’re in situations where you’re teetering on the edge of death. She’s one of the least comfy 5 star sustainers honestly.
u always need to have 1 or 2 ult ready, to play around her talent. Yes holding ur ult sucks cuz all the wasted energy, but hey she can charge ur energy for ur whole team too, she was never designed to be a comfy sustain unit like luocha, where u can just turn off ur brain and let him do the work.
Gallager is bad on auto but if you dont mind paying a tiny bit of attention you can just manual tap his ult after his turn with one click, and now hes a perfect basic bot and you can always get perfect usage out of his action advance! bandaid solution but its still basically full auto and he cant hold his ult forever if you just do it yourself from time to time lol

as a huohuo fu xuan adventurine haver i think its nice to have 3 different types of sustains for the future content. We dont know what type of content hoyo is going to add and therefore i think its nice to have all type of sustain ready for it especially if you are fan of autobattle!
Even though energy regen is useless for Acheron, HuoHuo’s attack buff from her ult is still useful for Acheron. HuoHuo is by far one of the best sustain we have. She’s not just sustainer but also a sub harmony. And I think this is what we should view sustainers now, they can sustain while also providing useful utilities. The utility for future sustainers will make or break their viability and usefulness.
Now with Aventurine here, I can free up my HuoHuo for the second team! Going for his e0s1 so he can work well with Acheron.
The question is not who the stronger, but who is the most suitable. We have so many team comp, and so many enemies.
Huohuo can heal and cleanse per allies turn. This effect can last for 2 turn, and usually I use her skill every 2 turn. And her LC is OP, every allies use their ultimate, the lowest health will be healed, and buff attack everytime they healed. Dont forget she can refill your energy.
She suitable with need fast refill energy team, DOT team, vs so many cc enemies and not vs 1 hit massive damage enemies.
Aventurine for the first turn, give shield to all allies for free (Fu Xuan, Huohuo and Fire TB need to use their skill first). He can debuff enemy from his ultimate and his skill (with his LC). Buff effect resist. And can do FUA.
He suitable at FUA team, Acheron team, and vs 1 hit massive damage enemies.

I use houhou with acheron , black swan and superspeed guin and I'm loving it so far...and tbh except of the FUA part, gepard - who is a standard character - is not far behind aventurine
Huo^2 strength is that she's a harmony unit that can heal. That in itself is desirable for literally every team that isn't Acheron (wants geppie+market lc), Jing Yuan (wants FX eff res), and Blade/Clara (want Lynx for Taunt buff). Ofc there is also yanQueen and arLost, but uh why are you using them?

I want to build a dr ratio team in the future. I will pull on the topaz rerun when it eventually comes. I already have the ruan mei but I still need to think about sustain. I can either pull aventurine now and use the Gepard Lightcone or get Huohuo whenever she has her re-run. Which would you recommend to get. I don't have any preferences but I still want the best choice.

Huohuo’s the only character that i regret skipping, too bad her banner was utterly abysmal. Offensively speaking, Huohuo as a “sustain” that can buff is unparalleled. Aventurine’s definitely a better traditional sustain, and characters like Acheron don’t care for the energy anyway. It really just depends on what you’re trying to achive, some team uses one of them better than the other, just pick who you like better.
edit: and tbf, there’s really no such thing as “long-term investment” in this game. The next character will just 1 up the characters before, from pure numbers, or from enemy types. They could very well make future enemies counters traditional shielder, then sell a newer sustain that’s just “better” for that content. Though, there’s no point in getting too worried about it, the game’s easy enough that people’s still clearing Aventurine boss with March as a tank,
not really, while FX weakness is technically AOE dmg, her dmg reduction is just too strong, like Shield may provide you with higher HP, but without the defense to actually keep it then you're screwed either way, thats the problem with Gep (need Ulti for shield) and Fire MC (way too low shield efficiency). Not to mention that she can also heal herself (and the team) by her Ulti, which if you whale enough, will be up like every 2 rotation even if she just skill once per 3 turn.
Not having a cleanse is the only reason i'm skipping Aventurine. Hope we get a HuoHuo re-run soon

I find is so funny that people used to crap so hard on HuoHuo. So many people passed on her due to a lot of the content creators saying that she wasn't worth it. I was so glad that I didn't listen and pulled for her.
People sleeping hard on Luocha 😂😂😂. Bro's carried me from the start of the story till the aventurine boss fight within 2 weeks. Now I'm stuck on aventuine cuz my dps have shit relics. Luocha doesn't allow any teammate or himself to die. He heals, cleanses, removes buffs, heal dimension, sp friendly. He's the most overlooked 5 star it seems
Huo^2 better for generalist team, and pretty much anything other than FuA.
Aventurine better for FuA. Expensive team. Topaz, Jade, Aventunrine, LC for topaz and aventurine. just a lot of cost. Ratio is free.
on the other hand, get S1 on Topaz and Aventurine and the game is completed for you. legit, FUA team is one of THE most powerful low investment team in the game and can bruteforce pretty much the entire game

I have c1 gepard, im thinking about who to pull next. Lost most of the meta charactera while absent from the game, pulled for archeron and her s1 and im using gepard, sw and pela with her. With this team? If you want the premium team, yes. Pull for Aventurine since he can give a debuff. If you don't really need him, Gallagher is a good substitute instead.

just my opinion but unless youre pulling for topaz, i think huohuo is better because she has a good synergy with blade, jing yuan, and black swan. if you get topaz tho, then a ratio/topaz/ave is very good
aventurine is not that good with blade since he wants healing, jing yuan is good with aventurine since he doesn't like CC, aventurine's debuffs does not work well with Black Swan (iirc)

I’d say huo huo or aventurine (equal value as your missing another 5 star sustainer), then topaz in that order of priority. Your current characters have lots of follow up and could benefit from any of these characters since they are either synergistic or buff follow up potential in some way. Your blade bronya luocha is a great comp to have as your secondary team so you just need to finish that follow up comp.
Aventurine vs Gepard would be more intersting for me because I use Gepard/Trend for Acheron.

Shields maintaining seems to be better with Aventurine.
Gepards Ultimate is kind of limited.
I think the main difference is the shield application. Gepard needs his ult whereas zesturine jus need his skill
Feels like they aren't that too far apart in Acheron teams. Aventurine would have more value in teams that actually utilize his FUA and teams with teamwide buffs, like having Ruan Mei who buffs everybody in the team.

A well built huohuo should be able to sustain your whole team while still offering atk buffs and 25% energy restoration for all allies, literally no healer in the game competes with her support abilities rn. If you still die and want a strong sustain just build 5k defense aventurine idk lmao
