I have recently begun to read as much ancient church history as I can find. Thank you for posting this reading. I've lately been reading Eusebius, Foxe's Book of Martyrs and listening to the lectures of Ryan Reeves on TH-cam. It is fascinating and makes bible reading come alive.

Thanks for reading this. I love it. I don’t go ahead and consider it the Word of God or something. But I LOVE the Apostle John. His works in the Bible. His letters. Love how he rested in Christ’s bosom at the last supper. He really loved Jesus. I am glad I am able to listen to some of the stories about his life that could actually be true. He is an inspiration to me. Especially because he loved Jesus so much and was not ashamed to show it publicly, being the only disciple that was recorded to be there at the cross with Mary.

We should still use discernment in any extra-Biblical writings, while still taking it to heart. As long as it aligns with The Bible, I usually trust it. And some of these books have really helped me better understand certain events in the Bible.

@@laylaflores241 The first book of Enoch is referenced multiple times in the New Testament. I can't say it's the "inspired word of God" but when I read it and cross-referenced it with the Bible I found it very much worth reading for the context it added to those Scriptures.

I appreciate the readings of these works but it would help if English were the first language of the reader. Benig-ned? Oy. Sub-tly? Very distracting. One guy pronounced the T in the word "hastened" in one of these videos. It's not easy to read this much material but it distracts the listener when common English words are mispronounced.

Love how he rested in Christ’s bosom at the last supper. He really loved Jesus. I am glad I am able to listen to some of the stories about his life that could actually be true. We should still use discernment in any extra-Biblical writings, while still taking it to heart. As long as it aligns with The Bible, I usually trust it. And some of these books have really helped me better understand certain events in the Bible.

@@laylaflores241 The first book of Enoch is referenced multiple times in the New Testament. I can't say it's the "inspired word of God" but when I read it and cross-referenced it with the Bible I found it very much worth reading for the context it added to those Scriptures.

The father and the son are not same Jesus is not God In the Flesh like Christianity teach the father is greater than the Son, the son is subject to the father the father has placed everything in the son's hands, right now the son is sitting at the right hand of the father and he has been given ALL power, AND Authority.!

remember I told you that Jesus is the word when it talks about the word was with God that term (GOD) in the Hebrew is Elohim which means mighty one so basically Jesus is called mighty one but as you can see the father also carries the same title Elohim which translated is the word God they're both called Mighty ones!
So it should state in the beginning was the word and the Word was with Elohim and the word is Elohim!
And if you keep on reading that verse It also says he existed with Elohim in the beginning and through him which is the son (THE WORD) made FLESH all things were made, AND without him nothing was made that has been made.!
So right about now I think you're confused about the father and the son you think the father is the son in the flesh! When the son walk this earth he was a man of color!
