That’s indeed the local price here in Sri Lanka and I’m quite shocked that he only charged you 2500 rupees cause the profit margin for him was really low. With the current inflation, I would say 3000 would be a fair price even for the locals. Don’t blame you tbh, cause you get that instinct from the bad experiences you had with the scammers. Also Tamil people have been kicked off from most of eastern srilanka and business given to singhala people. Poor diversity in Srilanka against Tamil still getting worse in Srilanka. Because of the emergence law imposed and forced only in Tamil areas.more restrictions are apply for Tamil than Singhala people. Tamil are limited to fishing compared to the majority singhala people. You must have noticed that I believe.
