- ■ PERU, CUSCO: There are few things I dislike more in life than sitting still for 30 minutes whilst getting an incredibly mediocre and horrendously overpriced haircut. Hence why I've been cutting my own hair for the past 2 decades.
However as soon as I find myself traveling to a new country my aversion to barbers is not as strong. For abroad the prices are low and the people who work as barbers generally make for some entertaining conversations. So seeing as I find myself in Peru, and many of you guys for reasons unbeknownst to me enjoy watching me either get a shave or my hair cut, I decided to check out a local barber in Cusco.

My friend Harald if you didnt get what the bartender girl said to you in 2:09 after she saw the 50 soles bill id tell you.. she tried to say in english " is it fine? she thought you didnt want the change haha...Cause most american tourists paid and said " Is fine, keep the change " Thats why she gave you a thumb up when she said that ... But didnt work for her this time haha thats why her friends were laughing, cause was a failed ... greetins from Lima peru

I meet a SHITLOAD of foreigners in America who don't know any English. It doesn't help that there are lots of American cities where Hispanics, Asians, Europeans, Africans, etc can basically go around everywhere without knowing a single word of English. This guys English really was amazing for someone outside of the USA in such a short amount of time .

I think that's just lazy. I used tell my mom she's lazy for not learning English and they've been in the US for almost 40 years. My father understands it and can speak enough to get by but my mom is completely lost if somebody speaks to her in English.

Those are Venezuelans refugees that escaped from the crisis of their socialist country. Peru has received more than 1million venezuelans in the last 2 years. Yes, they need the money, they usually send money to their families in venezuela.

What you just did to this guy is a blessing that contributes to all of us beings as an enrichening consciousness pool, these kind of acts are the most important a human can do because they are done with the right mentality. Alfonso did an amazing job on your hair. I'm not going to lie, I teared up at his reaction. I have a few friends here in Chicago that had to leave Venezuala and I know how much this means to him and his loved ones. Harald, these long conversations with locals are awesome but I also have an appreciation for your history lessons. Keep the videos coming!

The guy who translated is real nice and talkative. I think he craved for a english conversation with a 'native' or in this case fluent english speaker to test his knowledge 😊. He on the right path tho.

That kid has great English for only Five months in.
I learned alot of Spanish in 5 months. Eats easy to learn if your grinding it out 5 hours a day for 5 days a week. Also buy beginneer books. It helps alot

If you speak Spanish you can learn English easily and if you speak English you can learn Spanish too, the languages have a lot of similarities.
Martin Q2000 no it doesn’t. English doesn’t have any major similarities to any language. And for Spanish, Portuguese and Italian are the easiest language to learn because they have way more cognates
@@michaelwidell2448 Respectable opinion but let me give you a hint, ALL of those languages you mentioned +English use the LATIN alphabet so it's simple to learn any of them because you know how each letter sounds(most of the time). There is languages like Greek,Chinese,Japanese,Russian, Korean, Arabic etc. That are more complex because they have thier own alphabet, now if you know the Spanish, Italian, French or any other Latin alphabet using language you can learn it way easier, being English and trying to read this would be harder than reading Spanish:
