Great guide as always thanks for putting in the time and share it with us, i have almost the same build but i ended up putting Tempering blows on pants instead of numbing wrath since we always swap weapons with Hota you can reach that fortify cap mush faster and keep it full, one more change that made a difference is putting Retribution on the mace for that 80% extra damage to stunned enemies and i put the Ancestral force on the 1 hand sword. also if you don't want to play with ground stomp you can use the aspect weapon master on boots that gives you 50% chance to stun with steel grasp and one additional charge so you end up having 3 charges, and steel grasp is good because it makes enemies Vulnerable for 2.5 sec and you gain berserking for 2 sec and i think its more viable than ground stomp. Keep it coming you are doing great job and would love to see Uber Lilith build.
Dude, you’re the goat. I was whirlwind 1-100, then I couldn’t push T55 so I switched to Double Swing (really underrated and fun), but couldn’t push T70. And not I’m going for HotA and this is by far the one of the funnest build. I’ll check out your build as soon as I get home.

For extremly high NM dungeons you want DR when injured on boots and pants to more than double your DR when have low health.
This is all before the 1.1 patch. At 3:06 you can see it's old patch because your hamstring is missing the "healthy" tag.
That's misleading of the OP, why is he saying it's post nerf when it's not? Good catch. I tried the build and I'm not hitting as hard as he is by a factor of almost 10x. I'm guessing that's the patch cause my gear is pretty close or better. All that said, it's a great build and a lot of fun. Just didn't know why I wasn't hitting as hard as his vids and now I think I know.

Sincerely, i would like too see you clean (properly) an NW 90-100 with this build (that armor/life etc etc), seems probably not gonna happen. But i would be surprised if that comes up recorded :)
It's not going to happen. I have 24k health 10k armor and almost 60% DR fortified and I can't survive a t100 lol
I haven’t tried that high on this build, but this build works well for higher tier nm dungeons, just have to sacrifice dmg and other stuff for massive and amazing damage reduction rolls and hp. This close to the season fluff that haha

Honestly there may be better builds in season 1. With some of the gems I can see WW being pretty powerful
Always showcasing T55s though. I'm much more curious in seeing these builds work in T90 plus surviving the insane damage. Thats where most of us are struggling....
Agreed, sadly Barb is tremendously hard to run high tiers at. It all comes down to tankability and good damage reduction told on your armor pieces, total armor, and health. You need to have amazing DR gear and that gets you to the endgame with any build

Can u explain why hamstring is needed if the build isnt really built around bleed? I know the beserking aspect gives bleed but you said its interchangeable. Unless ur using 2-hand sword

Why did you select skills/passives that pertain to bleeding when none of the attacks you chose cause the bleeding effect?
Thanks for the build. I tried it out with every piece of armor max rolled and perfect aspects but im only critting for 24 million. I use your paragon board too. I am on console. Maybe its the bug where i cant disable the auto aim. So the hota quake does less damage?

It’s the ancestral force aspect that was bugged on pc, essentially doubling the damage dealt. Has since been fixed.
have you tried moving your Limitless Rage to your 1h and putting Earthquake aspect on your 2h sword.... its a 30%x DAMAGE increase standing in the earthquake.... or on a 1her for 15% damage increase.. I find hit extremal helpful on bosses. I use it on WW build, because I never tend to get the full damage bonus from Limitless rage but get several hit in the 4 sec of earthquake .

my rogue has a perfect neck but my barb is strugggggling to get one. I want cooldown reduction, fury cost reduction, movement speed and ill take something + skill for whirlwind

I'm pretty sure the gloves Imprant damage to stun Enemies only works on the enemies that get stun from the 1st part of the imprant

On Carnage board. I cannot fully complete the 25DEX to achieve bonus damage. How do I get that extra 3 dex on the board?
Tried it. Took me 3 hours to do the switch. Glad I got it out of my system. Not for me. Im getting 1 shotted in T54. Before this switch, I was pushing T83...with whirlwind.
Well im positive this may have worked for the creator and or others, I will be extra careful whenever diving into something announced as the best. 😢

Pushing 80+ nm is extremely hard. Not to mention u did it with whirlwind. 😅
its impossible to get oneshotted in t54 if you are doing 80+ keys lol. thats not a build problem, that is a skill issue or you dumped all ur DR on chest/legs. anything bellow 80 is basically speed running, anyone, any class, any spec, any build can do it. past 80 yeah, you might need to get good stats on ur gear, use the right abilities, put more survival in your paragon tree etc etc. but there is NO WAY in hell you are doing 80+ keys and change to this build and get one shotted in 54

How do you apply the bleed?
This looks almost identical to Robs build that im running except ground stomp & mortal draw is swapped in.....not saying its copied just barb lacks versatility
Wish they would turn off auto lock on for consoles so we could do as much damage as PC player's....probably why they never noticed the damage was OP in testing.
Can you explain why you put basic skill to the duel weapon? is there a difference to assigning it to slashing instead ?

I don't get this.. the only aspect you have applied for stun is the 20% stun damage? am I missing something? Why not use WotB instead of GS?
Why did you take "Hamstring" passive? As far as I can see, you don't have any Bleeding effect.
My build is kinda similar, slightly more optimized for surv. Recently hit lvl 100.
I can reliably do high 70s, still pushing onto 80s. I need better rolls on gear and only exploit glyph is max, rest 15.
Max hits ive seen are around 20m, maybe 30m once. Average 2-8m and I have almost 200 max fury. No idea how ppl claim 60m or 80m. Dunno if max glyphs really make that much difference.

It's not with the hota. It's with the wave. Once it gets adjusted many of these Builds will be useless.

Content creators are struggling In d4 right now, since for 3 of the classes every build involves 3 or 4 of the exact same abilities sub 1, in this case ground stomp for iron skin, or wrath of berserker, lunging strike, and 3 shouts. Necro you have tendrils, blood mist, decripify, sorc barriers and nova. Just call them all 25 million dps builds because they basically all are.
Yeah there isn’t much diversity especially for Barb. This is the best Barb currently
I’ve been doing a similar build, but instead of War Cry I run Steel Chains to do the grouping up and as another way to trigger Berserking. I’m only 85 so clearly not hitting the damage you are, but now I’m considering swapping the chains for the third shout…
Honestly I like the 3rd shout for regular content becuase it’s easy and synergizes well. During big boss fights and high level nm dungeons chains is super good for the vulnerable
I'm running the 3rd shout, and I like it. But I will admit, having an extra slot for chains would be so awesome. Get everything in a group, throw the shouts down and lay down the law. The general AOE of the shouts and HOTA are pretty decent though, getting left with the couple basic enemies left over sucks though, especially using a barber heart in S1. Kill 99% of everything really quick, then beat up on some basic enemy,waiting for the barber to proc lol

1. how do you keep up "berserk all the time"? I only see war cry.
2. Why all the bleed stats? i dont see anything how you apply bleed.
This build will only work for below 60 dungeons mostly, but fun to see numbers that high hitting squishies, and overkilling them.
I have shitty hota build and I'm finishing Dung 64, and i feel this build is much better than mine .. love how u confirm that this build cant finish 60+

Honestly around 90-100 this is very end game, still wouldn’t be bad to start earlier just make sure you have exploit slotted

It's weird I have a lot more attack power than you at lvl 75 and I'm not hitting anywhere close to those numbers. I must have chosen the wrong items and don't have the right stat boosters.

How do you set which weapon you use for lunging strike? Mine just uses top dps weapons
Just go to your character screen, click the abilities tab, skill tree then at the bottom it says "skill assignment".

Is it 100% necessary to ancestrl force aspect on the 2h hammer? Will you not hit as big dmg on the hota if its on the 1h? I've been trying to run this build from 55-62, and the highest i can seem to hit is 400k, but that's pretty rare. Average would be like 100k
Not sure if you know, the ancestral force aspect was bugged which essentially made the damage double- the devs nerfed the hell out of barbs and hot fixed the aspect. Not sure if this build is viable now but I could be wrong.

I have a issue with hammer of the acients. It seems to not do any damage alot of the time. Its almost like the accuracy or hit percentage is shit with that skill.
Like it misses the target? I’ve noticed it too.
Same things happening with FF16. You can't criticize anything without being told that you suck or you're just playing wrong or that you just not good enough.
A lot of us try to put out the best builds and stuff we can come up with. You should truly play for fun and no one is playing incorrectly, just videos we make with best tips!!

On your paragon board all glyphs seem to have a range of 5 in every direction? The internet says it´s only possible to have a range of 4 nodes. What do i do wrong? At the carnage board i can´t get the necessary dex points to activate the glyph bonus as i haven´t as much nodes in range as you do
They expand at Level 15
Glyph need to be lvled to 15
Does physical damage help hota damage or is that just something that helps bleed?
I think physical damage does buff the base damage of HOTA and damage over time is used for bleed.

Why no legendary nodes?
Hota hits like a truck and is solid upto maybe low 70tier nms, after that , you will be getting chunked in between your HOTAs unless you kite extremely well and know the map to the tee .
It sucks but it just simply is . I have near perfect rolls on all the gear you want . Including all the damage reductions on chest , pants . And a high roll on dame while injured on the boots .
Even with the aspect that give you 20% damage reduction when you basic an elite , and a near perfect roll for a 12k barrier when damaging an elite , and using iron skin in some dungeons , you still will get chunked hard .
Not to mention the fact you’ll have those awkward battles where you don’t insta kill an elite or mob group when they are vulnerable because you don’t crit . And now you’re hitting them like a wet noodle for 10-12 seconds before you can make them vulnerable again.
Barbarian simply is seriously lackluster on endgame content . I’ve seen druids barely

Bad Timing, this video came out pre patch but exactly on patch day. Now, nothing is like before, mega HOTA nerf, Aspect nerf, -50% dmg against stunned, on weapons: -40% vulnerable dmg on weapons, -17% crit dmg, and so on. Don't get confused... you will not see these numbers again.

My main problem is RNG. I can barely get pieces with half the wanted stats.
If an enemy is stunned AND vulnerable will wallop double dip?
Don’t believe so. But essentially you get the max extra damage from Wallop, then the regular Vulnerable damage bonus, plus Stunned to enemy damage from your aspects. Stacks very high!
@CreativeGamingTH-cam I've basically decided to drop shouts entirely and replaced HOTA with upheaval. It's working well so far! LOVING KICK FOR FURY DUMP! Helps set up my 350% bonus damage deathblow hit on bosses,
I have about 200 fury, so when full while using WOTB I can get 100%bonus damage per kick before I deathblow. So 200% bonus is feasible. I dropped armor for barrier and health, while also walking away from so much DR. The result allows me to carry razerplate and needle flare. Pretty fun style! Use iron skin with unstoppable and DR, tones of healing required
I hope someone answers cause I'm lost. If you can only re-roll 1 affix how is it possible you found a chest with 4 out of 4 damage reduction. Since you can re-roll 1 even with that how do you find a chest with 3 out of 4 damage reduction. Seems impossible, what am I missing? Especially when you talk about gear pieces that absolutely require certain rolls for this build the likelihood of finding exactly what you need regardless of time spent farming seems near impossible. Is there something I am missing here?
You just gotta farm bud. I find armor like that all the time. Honestly my go to stats on a chest piece are flat DR, DR to close, max life, and total armor. No matter what class/build you use those are gonna be the stats you want. It can feel tedious to farm for but just start out with something close and eventually you’ll find a better perfect piece.

This build is only for maxed out barbarian build, how about barbs that are only lvl 70?

Not as powerful but still a pretty strong Barb build. Still able to hit 10Mil+

It’s a good choice, I just prefer other aspects that I think can give me higher damage

Man I just don’t get it my build is so close to this build right here very few differences and this guy does 25-50m I’m doing 2-4 😂 literally have 225%vul 350%op 498%core 135% berserking 266% crit and running 175 fury. Maxed out paragon + renown and I can clear T100s I’m just doing 1/10th the damage he is

Still does a good amount of damage, just not broken levels like it use to. Still slaps alright

Is there something to increase damage to bosses ? Against mobs in nightmare I'm going up to about 8 mil regularly but the boss fights are 2-4 mil. Almost consistently 50% lower.
No. Barbarian Single-Target Damage is pathetic and virtually always has been even since D3.
Damage to élites helps. Also stacking the right affixes on weapons and rings.
