Showing an image of a product already on the market is not a copyright violation.
Especially if the company already released images of said product.
Avoiding risks of defamation is more likely the motivator.
But we all could be wrong and they simply did not want to show the product. lol
Or, it may have something to do with youtube monetization.

We had toys in the '70s that would be considered deathtraps today, and do you know how many kids got hurt then as compared to how many get hurt now? Quite a bit fewer, if any, because we were supervised while we played with any of these "dangerous" toys.
And our parents were just as busy as today's parents are, if not more so.
Not only did they work 40+ hours a week, they also didn't have conveniences like microwave ovens, computers, etc.
It just makes me so mad to hear about all of these lawsuits against toy companies because a child got hurt playing with a toy incorrectly. The parents should step up and take responsibility for what happened because they weren't watching their kids, instead of throwing it all on someone else.

I can't count the number of times I've had to climb on the roof to pull em out of the shingles, I never threw em at cars but there's been times me and my brother along with friends would have a "contest" to see who was the bravest. We would take turns standing there while the others were throwing the darts in the air, the winner was the person who didn't move while the darts were sticking in the ground next to him.
Looking back, I'm not sure how I made it to adulthood. Ain't no telling how many ppl ended up with em stuck in their heads or even feet.

YEP! We used to shoot Carbide Canons while playing Army and almost every kid had a Sling Shot and a Scout Knife. We had a "Sportsman Club" in school where we brought our .22 Rifles and Shotguns to school to teach Gun Safety. It wasn't uncommon either for a student to have a Rifle or Shotgun in a locker to go Hunting after school. Guess what? No one Ever Got Shot or Killed! Also some girls did the same, but not all. As a matter of fact when we fought no one Ever thought of using a Gun or Knife because it was thought as a Cowardly Act! Another No No was if a Boy hit a Girl the whole school would kick their behind. Boys had an unspoken rule to protect Any and All Girls no matter who or what they were. I could go on, but Thanks for a Trip down Memory Lane.

I pulled off the ramp jump, but as i landed it lost control due to the road an i ended up tumbling into a charlie brown spin and then landed an slid like a foot an scrapped boths hands deep ..there was rocks an asphalt embedded deep in my hands like 2½ centimeters deep once they were pulled out my hands bled went to the er an they wrapped my hands sprayed alcohol on them an put cream an sent me home i had to change my dressings and stuff for like a month an a half...worse fall besides fracturing my finger and having my fingernail split from my bike as a year or so after tht.

When I was 18, I wanted a hoverboard more than anything for Christmas. I thought I'd ride it all the time. I got what I wanted, it cost my dad $500 for an unbranded generic one, and I haven't used it since Jan 5th 2016.
I got up early that morning for a job orientation at Walmart. Having just turned 19 Dec 31st, 2015, it was gonna be my first job. I didn't have to leave for a couple hours, so I thought I'd take the hoverboard out and practice on the sidewalk. You know how sidewalks dip for driveways, crosswalks, wheelchair access, etc? Well, I was sleepy inching towards the one at the end of my driveway, wanting to take it slow. Next thing I know, I'm laying on the pavement with a huge bump on the back of my head, easily cupped by my hand, between the sizes of a golf ball and a baseball. I picked myself up, but my body felt heavy, almost numb even. I couldn't remember why I was up so early, so I wandered into the road to retrieve my hoverboard. Thankfully, someone saw me fall whole driving by and stopped, so there was no risk of anyone hitting me. They asked from their car if I was alright, and I just waved them off while hugging the board to my chest, saying I was fine.
    I was not fine.
On my way back inside, I was rattling off the list of concussion symptoms to myself, thankful that I actually paid attention in health class. I was tired, forgot I had orientation, my head hurt... Yup, definitely concussed.
I went inside, went upstairs, dropped off the hoverboard in my room, then went to wake up my parents. My mom is notoriously hard to wake up, but when I took her hand and put it on the bump, it was like watching on a light. 😆 She instantly went from half awake to ready to take me to the hospital! I went back to my room and went back to bed, knowing I'd be fine.
I woke up in a hospital bed. My mom said I was asleep for maybe 4hrs. I threw up a couple times. I was also told I threw up in my sleep. I was so out of it, everything hurt... But I was discharged not long after waking up. They had to wheel me out in a chair, since I was still shaky on my feet.
I later found out that my dad had called Walmart to let them know, and my orientation was rescheduled to 2 weeks later. I had no lasting memory problems or detectable brain damage. Even remembered Walmart not long after waking up.
Moral of the story: Wear a fucking helmet.

Old playgrounds reminded me of my playground injury. I was on the old school ride that swung you in a circle until you got dizzy. Well a friend decided to get it started and I fell backward got my head drug through gravel. I had to go to the nurses station because I had gravel embedded in the back of my head. I’m glad playgrounds are safer but still we had too much fun even with the injuries.

One of the main issues with these products causing injuries is parents not watching over their children. Far too many classic toys have been re-designed (poorly, I might add) due to parents not watching their rambunctious children who then get injured for playing with/around said toys too rough, and suing manufacturers (and then tragically winning said lawsuits, promoting bad parenting).

I’m amazed I am still alive. I wasn’t very smart as a kid but then my parents also supplied me with a number of dangerous toys, including the moon boots, Jarts, Thingmakers (Which had you cooking bizarre plastic chemicals on a table top stove) and a number of guns that shot tiny darts. But the most dangerous one that I ever encountered was Tinker Toys. Do you remember the little wooden sticks that used to circular wooden wheels to connect together? Well, my version came in a thick cardboard tube with a screw-on lid made of metal. Sometimes that lid was rather difficult to open, especially to a five-year-old like me. For whatever reason, I had put the lid back on to the tube but still had all of the play sticks out of the can. I could not unscrew that stupid lid so I got the bright idea of trying to pry the lid off by using one of the sticks as a pry bar. It worked-the lid came off with a loud clang, but the stick continued to shoot upward into my right eye. My mother, hearing the noise told me it was time to pick up my toys, and then came running when she heard me screaming. There was no blood, and only a bruise, but I could not open the eye for several hours. She didn’t even need to take me to the doctor, but rather put a gauze patch over my eye. The next morning the patch came off and I was good as new and lucky to still have both eyes. I guess I could say it wasn’t so much the Tinker Toy that was the danger but the container itself, at least when it came to inventive children using imaginative ways to open containers.

As a kid my local playground was lethal. Besides the copious amount of dogshit in it, it was also concrete around the slide, roundabout etc. Broke my arm twice and cut my head open on a rusty bolt. 36 years later my elbow still aches in the cold weather. Great times.

    MOON SHOES.
Why are you getting SO many of these NAMES WRONG, and DEETS?
    I had said MOON SHOES.
In THEORY, YOU WERE SUPPOSED to be able to jump with these, AS HIGH AS THE MOON!
In all REALITY. these were SOLID steel. They had 4 huge 4 1-2" high coil springs. Sandwiched by 2 metal palates. They had an straps to keep them on.
One shoe must have been 10 - 15 lbs. Just trying to walk out the door, from my bedroom, took me 10 minutes.
I tryed to jump one time, in my ROOM, luckily, my BED saved me.
You COODNT have any springs pop thru that metal plate. Impossible.
Twisted ankle, I never got one, cuz I am a smart girl, but, they are high, if you are NOT CAREFUL, OF COURSE YOU CAN GET ONE!

Not sure if this is classified as a toy, but when I was very young I would play in a child walker. I was playing one day and it moved backwards and fell down the stairs to a concrete basement. I was in a coma for a few days and came out having epilepsy. I still take drugs and despite 3 brain surgeries still suffer from seizures. Thank goodness they are now banned in Canada, where I live, and many other countries.

There were actual "toy" cigarettes, I got them from a magic/joke shop. Basically a cigarette shaped tube, you would put talcum powder in, blow on to make puffs of the powder come out. I don't remember ever inhaling any powder accidentally though it probably could be done. It occurs to me now that they have all those lawsuits against Johnson & Johnson, for the cancer causing asbestos in their baby powder. Yes I'm old, this would have been in the 50's.

So glad I grew up in a time when playgrounds were still metallic and fun! And we had something akin to lawn darts in the late 50s/60s! One spring in elem school we were all so excited because something called “the new playground” would be finished when we returned in fall. It was made on concrete 😆and had different holes to run through. Some of the tunnels were very nice and shady on a hot day!!

Funny thing about Number 21 is that its a literally recycled idea used in another toy line (called "Dragon Flyz" and it was the exact same company, basically Sky Dancers but replace Fairies with Dragons). Even better? This was brought back in 2005, same exact gimmick only now produced by Play along Toys and slightly new packaging. Still amazes me that someone said "Hey, lets bring back that dangerous toy that got recalled"
Also: While Cigerette sticks do still exist, the only people buying them are literally the people old enough to remember them and the sales aren't that great.
