The old liquor store seller would be seen again in the S04 Episode PROMISES, where he would portray a foreign county leader with a chip on his shoulder whose bodyguard - Kassim - was an elegant Moorish Immortal who held Mac to an old oath between them to help him keep the descendants of his old master in the seat of power.
He probably sharpened his katana extra sharp for him as his way of thanking him for his part in being with Tessa. His head has to still come off but if thr blade is extra sharp it's as merciful as a beheading gets
Gotta share my love to my fellow Highlander groupies. Loved this show as a kid - steamy cable action pseudo period fiction with epic swordfights and an even more epic ponytail. So damn weird. In Contenental Europe those stores have a much higher reputation and better clientel as most of those in the States. Also the quality and the prices for their goods is usually much higher.

I think the writers could have enhanced the highlander series by being more animated with the quickening, for example, in this episode, , when Duncan took his head they should have allowed the mannequins to be more animated, during Duncan's quickening.

Is it possible the Absinthe improves(distance, intensity) that immortals detect each other? Just a thought.
