Avron rode you on a blue bird day with warmer Temps. There where rose pettles on the hill with some chardonnay. Love was in the air.... and an awful stink!
Rode the 161 for two days at a demo back in Feb and honestly had a hard time getting off it. 200ish lbs. size 12 boot. Rode it with the new BMBW Anvils on first day and Transfers on second day. Loved carving on groomers, side hits, park had 20-30’ jumps and loved how stable the landing gear felt with all that extra surface area. Jibbing was “fun” totally agree with watching out to clear the nose on boardslides. Awesome review as always 🤘
Thx for the review - I have asked Lib for years to do a camber skunk (C3ish) deck - harkening back to the litigator of early 2000's . As always love your comedic commentary combined with the tech expertise - cheers!
6’3” here. 250lbs size 14 boot. I’m excited about this!!! I bought the GNU riders choice in 2022. It’s ok. But the carving is questionable. I’m excited to purchase this!!!
Proper Sachmo here. Love the C2 in my Gen1 Orca, but used to ride my Dads older C2 Skunk Apes and wasn’t a fan. Thinking I’m going to rock this or a Banked country this year 🤟
'understand your aerodynamics' XD 13 boot here, riding an old custom wide. this is the board i'm gonna try as soon as possible. thank you for this review!
Damn that's a bummer. I tried several c2 and c3 boards and only liked one of them. It was a gnu fun guy. Most of them were awful. Good luck this season.
@@brohammer for people who suck at snowboarding and skid all their turns, the c3 and c2 camber is AWESOME. Problem is, I know how to turn correctly and such boards feel absolutely terrible. They spin under foot, and the edge never really locks in. I am what you call a 'full camber guy'.
@brohammer didnt like that there was no pop, didn't handle the east coast ice too well at my resort, had one day were we got like a foot of snow, and it was okay that day.
Been riding skunk apes for years but I don’t understand why it’s classified as just a “big guy” board. The waste width is only 26.8.. a lot of other traditional wide boards out there have a wider ww… great review btw
I've always looked past the skunk ape because I'm just a size 12 and do well with other wide boards, but now with the camber...damn, might have to look closer.
Driving myself crazy trying to decide on a new board. Im 6’6 250 size 13 boot and am late beginner to early intermediate. Main issue is whether the 170uw will be too long in the future if I end up doing more tree stuff. Should I be looking more at the volume shifted or can this one get the job done at my level? Thanks for the great review.
Now that the C2 sucks in comparison this one needs UW in shorter sizes than 169. There's a C2 163UW, which makes senes as you can find board that are as wide as the other sizes through the whole Lib line.
How much different is the original skunk ape to the 2 to this. I realize this is full camber, got a couple OG apes, but never been on the 2. Have a couple full camber boards as well. Thanks
@@ryanthompson2440 my Zombie and Bob Ross from around 2010ish are both C2 rocker shape. But think you're right about the absolute original being camber, not totally certain.
Im a size 13 100kg lazy git using supermatic bindings. Normally run 159w boards but still find a bit of toe drag. Will this board be wide enough? The superwide of this seems too long. If this cant do it what other boards would be wide enough?

Sasquatch here. Can’t thank you enough for the review. Back to hiding in the woods until it snows.

We were stoked to see this model in proper camber 💪 props on jibbin that hog !

My dad jumped out of C-130s for a living. Loved the reference haha.
Yo dude I like your video and I'm a BIG SATCHMO!

Man i bought a skunk ape c2x last year and greatly hated it. This is the way! Tnxs Avran

Why you hate it ?

Super SKUNKY...... Thanks for the review. Cheers!
Plan accordingly.....best statement ever....
following and loving your reviews, 32 years ripping, what is it compared to an Nitro Pantera Wide? cheers and keep up the good work!
Can you do a list of the best equipment for us Sasquatchs?
I want the 170UW just for the pond skim at the end of the season.
This is the correct application. I have one that’s 4years old. I’m not small, and it still wants to kill me.
I have a size 8 and want to ride this

I personally love C2 camber.
I'm one of the ol'dawgs that doesn't prefer camber. Weird right? Well let's fuckin race, then we'll see!!!!
Just a little shidder.

Get a volume shifted board.
Board looks cool but not sure if I should go the 165 or the 170. 6'8" 275 with a size 14 boot, just not sure if the 170 is a little too wide
With a size 14 you're fine.
Jumped out of my share of C130's. Plus the death spiral landing into Bagram. Board looks big and beefy.
Got an early release last year, I really like it. I’m looking at a banked country for this year or is that to much overlap??
There’s some overlap but they do fit in two different categories.
I'd try one of these.

Sheesh finally .. been waiting for this one, mate! Did you get to ride some pow with it?
It's almost like we should put a section where we talk about the conditions we rode it in.

Size 13 boot. Maybe I can finally lay the board over without dragging my toes in the snow.
No.
This or super pig for size 12 boot 230lbs satch??
c2 skunk ape rips in tight trees brah
Boards a turd.
Do they do a smaller version of this board? (Size 11, 5’8”, 200lbs) I like to think myself more of an A10 than a C130 though.
Sizes are listed.

En fait on dirait une Ejack Knife pour grand et gros Monsieur 😅
Ultra wide? They used to call me that back in high school
Corn fed eh.
Cayme for the Cayme-berrrrr, was thoroughly disspointed.
Lib tech said camber was "outdated ski technology " shave that magna traction off and you'll have a half way decent board
Perfect board for guys in boots 3 sizes too big
NAILED IT!
this board is built for my fat ass. I kind of want it now....
Comment
Girth lol
Is it a skunk or is it an ape, i don't get it
Not now Gorb, FUCK!
It's an ape that's been smoking skunk
Is it a dumb or is it an ass?
