@@Alfredo8059 I’m astonished, and saddened, that so many Roman Catholics choose to ignore actual Biblical Scripture (or just don’t know it) and support a church (lowercase) that purports to be followers of Christ and of His Bible, yet has DANGEROUSLY departed from actual Biblical Christian doctrine in MANY CRITICAL areas! If Roman Catholicism claims to follow Christ and His Bible, then start teaching and FOLLOWING the Bible. Stop teaching things that CONTRADICT what The Bible actually says.
We really shouldn’t need to even be having this discussion. Who would have thought that simply FOLLOWING THE BIBLE would be controversial for Christians? If we as Christians claim to be followers of Christ then FOLLOW WHAT HIS BIBLE SAYS! The Bible needs NO additions. It needs NO subtractions. If the Bible says it, believe it and own it! If something speaks CONTRARY to The Bible we are called as Christians to “contend for the faith” and speak out AGAINST heresy.
“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”
      ‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”
      ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:11‬ ‭
If we claim to be followers of Christ, simply follow and believe what He said was true! Trust in HIM, NOT in man made “religion”
Following is a summarized paragraph with references found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) of many of the false teachings of Roman Catholicism. How do we know they are false? By comparing Scripture with what is taught.
The Catholic Church is the one true church (CCC 2105), Infallibility of the Catholic Church, (CCC 2035), Only the Roman Catholic Church has authority to interpret Scripture (CCC 100), The Pope is the head of the church and has the authority of Christ (CCC 2034), The Roman Catholic Church is necessary for salvation (CCC 846), Sacred Tradition equal to scripture (CCC 82), Forgiveness of sins, salvation, is by faith and works (CCC 2036 CCC 2080 2068), Full benefit of Salvation is only through the Roman Catholic Church (Vatican 2, Decree on Ecumenism, 3), Grace can be merited (CCC 2010 CCC 2027), The merit of Mary and the Saints can be applied to Catholics and others (1477), Penance is necessary for salvation (CCC 980), Purgatory (CCC 1031 CCC 1475), Indulgences (CCC 1471 CCC 1478 CCC 1498 CCC 1472), Mary is Mediatrix (CCC 969), Mary brings us the gifts of eternal salvation (CCC 969), Mary delivers souls from death (CCC 966), Prayer to the saints (CCC 2677), The Communion elements become the actual body and blood of Christ (CCC 1374 CCC 1376).
At the Council of Trent, the Roman Catholic Church literally declared the Gospel that JESUS AND THE APOSTLES preached..... an anathema.
In Session 6. Canons XXIV, IX, XII, XVIII, XIX, XX, XXVII, XXIX, XXX, and XXII. I urge everyone to look these up.
      The Bible says.....
“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
      ‭‭
      Galatians‬ ‭1:8-9‬ ‭
Rome ABSOLUTELY preaches a “different gospel” and is guilty of this passage from Galatians.
ACCURSED! That’s a pretty serious charge. Those are The Apostle Paul’s God Inspired words.
The Bible disagrees with MANY of Roman Catholicism’s teachings. Rome’s problem is with THE BIBLE, not me. I’m simply praying for you that you see the beautiful Light and Glory of the pure and true gospel before it’s too late. I didn’t write the message, I’m simply a messenger.
Satan has blinded the eyes of millions and millions of Catholics. I pray for them often..........
      Lastly,
Below is a post I copied from the “pope”. Anyone who actually does study the Bible will know how incredibly unbiblical and wrong it is.
“Mary is not only the bridge joining us to God; she is more. She is the road that God travelled to reach us, and the road that we must travel in order to reach him”.
This blasphemous statement was written on the “pope’s” Twitter account. March 25th 2021 at 5:31 am. I urge everyone to look it up for themselves.
It is not only unbiblical but is an absolute insult to The Lord Jesus Christ.
My heart breaks for the millions of people that Roman Catholicism has blinded. I pray that you see God’s truth before it’s too late. Said in love to all Roman Catholics, you are being deceived.

@@AVKingJamesBible, You should know a basic Catholic doctrine: Public revelation ceased with the death of the last Apostle ( Saint John, ca. AD 100). Thank you for sharing your views. With all due respect, first, you take some phrases out of context. Second, you read them according to your own theology, biases, prejudices and assumptions. It is no the Scripture that disagrees with Catholic teaching, it's your interpretation of what you read that disagrees with Catholic teachings. So, the important question: Is your reading comprehension infallible? And implied to that question is : Do your assumptions have any authority whatsoever? As a Catholic I am told that if a teaching contradicts Scripture, that teaching must be wrong. Catholic teachings surely contradict your understanding of some passages of Scripture, but it does not mean that they contradict Scripture. I am going to address one claim you make: "The Catholic Church is the one true church (CCC 2105). Catholic means " of all (Jews and Gentiles) The Church is the body of Christ, so there is only one Catholic Church, one faith, one Lord. (Eph. 4:5-8). In Protestantism you have as many faiths as leaders you have. Heresy is that special moment when a proud man/woman believes to have greater spiritual insight than the Apostles, Disciples, Apostolic Fathers, the Church and the Magisterium because that proud man/woman has a Bible that they wrote, compiled and gave him/her. Is your interpretation of Scripture better than Saint Augustine's? Better than Ignatius of Antioch's ? Better than Justin Martyr's? they were Catholic and they read the Bible as Catholics do. You surely read the Bible as your Protestant leader taught you how to mis-read it. . God bless you

@@Hello-hn9kq , you , or your teachers, clearly misunderstand both, Scripture and Catholic doctrines. "Pray" is a matter of semantics and communion of saints. About "father": Saint Paul in 1 Cor. 4:14-15 claims for himself the title "father" in the spirirual sense. Is your interpretation of Matt.23:9 incorrect or is St Paul sinning. What I find consistent with Protestants (individual and teachers) is thay they proudly will take a verse from the Bible and isolate it (according to some one's pride and unlearned "wisdom") out of context and attempt to make it stand on its own. Pride, ignorance and unstableness: What a dangerous mix!!! "As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction." 2 Peter 3:16. Why do Protestantism contradict the early Church Fathers understanding of Scripture? "Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble." 1 Peter 5:5. When a proud Protestant says that this or that Catholic teaching is contrary to a particular passage of Scripture, what he/she is actually saying is that this or that Catholic teaching is contrary to his/her fallible understanding of that particular passage of Scripture. Do you really believe your assumptions, prejudices, reading comprehension, biases .... and opinions inspired? What a pride!! God bless you. May the Lord open your eyes and mind.

@@Alfredo8059 Paul writes “I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.”
      ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭4:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬
He says this because he is the father of the church, because he spent the majority of his lifetime building the church literally from the ground up. He traveled impossible distances and was stoned, shipwrecked and faced many other obstacles.
“For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.”
      ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭4:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬
He says that through Jesus he has begotten us, through the gospel. We were reborn under him, though Christ Jesus. Born Again. I don’t think he is claiming the be our father, but rather the father of the church in general, as if anyone does truly deserve that title it is him.
MATT. 23:8 “But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers.
MATT. 23:9 “Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
MATT. 23:10 “Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ.
Rabbi is a name for teacher, and you have one teacher, as simply put in verse 8.
You have one father, as simply put in verse 9.
We have only one leader, as is quite simply written in verse 10.
Even if I’m just not understanding correctly, and Paul did refer to himself plainly as our father, then he is wrong. I believe Jesus’ word over a man’s word any day. But I respect Paul tremendously and I don’t think he would claim to be our father in that respect, I think he truly meant father of the body of the church because he built it all, as he was instructed to by the teacher, who is the Lord.
As for prayer, Mary was a sinner as well, and she had to be saved as well. If Jesus wanted us to pray to Mary I believe he would have said so and I don’t think that this (verse below) would have happened.
“While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:46-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Jesus did not view the biological relationships between families as with much value, as is evident in many instances throughout the gospel, as he doesn’t even allow those who wish to follow him to say goodbye to their families or to bury their relatives. He says “let the dead bury their dead”.
Jesus was a man, like the rest of us, but he was also the son of God, and he was sent here like the Lamb sacrifice similar to what was done in the Old Testament
“and Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness: and the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.”
      ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭16:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Jesus is the lamb who was slain, who had the sins of the world placed onto his head. He was crucified and was dead for 3 days, before rising up. Whatever he says, I believe. If you can find a scripture which says that we should or even can pray to Mary, please tell me, because I am willing to learn as long as I know it is true. I don’t aim to be prideful, but I have to stand by what is the foundation of truth which is the word, and if the “Catholic doctrine” goes against even a single thing which is uttered from the mouth of God, I do not believe it and I will not follow it. I suggest you take a step away from Catholicism and truly determine what the scriptures mean to you, because you seem like a man after truth, and I want to help you get there. Shed your presuppositions and humble yourself to learn what God is trying to tell us.
“Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; And seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest at any time they should see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And should understand with their heart, And should be converted, and I should heal them.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬
I listen to Jesus before any religion, and the Jews valued their rules and regulations over their God. Even when Jesus was removed from his tomb by the angel of the lord, when the Roman soldiers guarding the tomb reported to the religious leaders what had happened, they paid them not to speak a word of truth, and to say that the disciples came and got them. They were truly prideful and unwilling to admit they were wrong, don’t be like them. And I pray that I don’t become prideful and if I have become prideful already then I pray that I lose that pride. Please incline your ears to the words of Jesus instead of to the doctrines of your religion.

I had a dream, about 1 to 2 years ago, I had a dream that I was running away from people dressed in black, covered in all black. I was running so fast to get away from them. I then ran into this stadium, and went into a room. When I came into the room there was a light, and all the people that were running after stoped suddenly. I then stopped and turned, I said to myself “why did they stop running” I turned back to look, and the sky was parting. I had never seen such a beautiful thing in my life. It was like colors of space in the galaxy. And then a white light. The light was blinding. I then looked the the right of myself, and an angel stood next to me. He had on armor. And I said to him “ Am I going to heaven, is God coming to save me?!” And he didn’t answer me. I saw then A man on a white horse. I couldn’t really see his face. But I knew who he was. He was JESUS. Remember the Bible says that the Lord will come down on a white horse. So when I saw him I was shocked. I was asking him “ are you here to save me, am I going to heaven?”. When I woke up, I jolted out my my sleep. I was immediately in tears. I am sharing this with you all because I am a Christian. Every morning I pray, I can’t get up without praying or else I feel like I’m not good inside, I also spread to word on tumblr, everyday when I read plans on the Bible app. I love God with every fiber in my Body. God says to confess your sins to one another. I struggle with sexual sin and I don’t want to idolize anyone. There was a time when I gave my life up to Christ, and I was struggling still with sexual sin, I prayed for forgive every time, but I still ended up doing it over again. I told God that I don’t deserve to be a called a child of him. I ask of you please to pray for me. I pray that God heals me. I feel lost at times. The enemy tries to fill my thought with lies and tries for me to curse God, and make me think against God, and tries to trick me in saying things that I don’t mean. Please pray for me. Amen

Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. Desire comes when something is lacking. Be filled with the spirit. Hunger and thirst for righteousness. Your food is to do God's will. We are made in God's image. God is Love. When you do not love deeply from the heart, you become empty. Your human nature will seek a substitute for love. That is why it is addictive. That is also why fornication is idolatry, because you substitute a desire for a created image in place of the desire for God.

Third the New Testament is a creation of the Catholic Church in 393 AD Council of Hippo and 397 Council of Carthage. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
We know how it is with the papal power. The people have no right to interpret the Scriptures for themselves. They must have someone else interpret the Scriptures for them. Have you no mind? Have you no reason? Has not God given judgment to the common people just as well as He has to the priests and rulers? When Christ, the Lord of life and glory, came to our world, if they had known Him, they never would have crucified Him. God had told them to search the Scriptures: “In them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me”
God help us to be Bible students. Until you can see the reason for it yourself and a “thus saith the Lord” in the Scriptures, don’t trust any living man to interpret the Bible for you. And when you can see this, you know it for yourself, and know it to be the truth of God. You will say, “I have read it, I have seen it, and my own heart takes hold upon it, and it is the truth God has spoken to me from His Word.” Now this is what we are to be-individual Christians. We need to have an individual, personal experience.
It is our duty as a Christian to test all teachings.
And since it was the Spirit of God that inspired the Bible, it is impossible that the teaching of the Spirit should ever be contrary to that of the word.
The Spirit was not given--nor can it ever be bestowed--to supersede the Bible; for the Scriptures explicitly state that the word of God is the standard by which all teaching and experience must be tested. Says the apostle John, "Believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." 1 John 4:1

If you were baptized Catholic you were born again at baptism. That’s the Catholic interpretation of John 3 with Jesus and Nicodemus. Did you know that the Catholic Church determined, out of dozens of gospels and hundreds of epistles, which were divinely inspired and canonized them into the Bible? The Catholic Church started by Jesus that the Holy Spirit gave the authority to determine what the Bible says also gave the authority to determine what those words mean. This guy means well, but has no authority and his interpretation is in error.

@@virtuousglean7216 If she genuinely asked Jesus to come into her heart then, yes, but most catholics never hear from their 'priests' that they must be *born again* and that's sad / scary, because being born again (of the Holy Spirit of God) *is the only way to be actually saved.* It's so simple, too: Ask Jesus to come into your heart, and He enters if you're genuinely open. Many of these denominations are misleading (subtly, as the serpent deceived Eve, just like Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 11:3) millions to not realize the *SIMPLICITY* in knowing Christ Jesus unto true Salvation -> being born again of Jesus' Holy Spirit.
Remember, in John 3 (read it), Jesus said the *(Holy) SPIRIT* goes where He Wills. That means this is a literal re-birth in the Spirit of God in our hearts. Being born again of the Holy Spirit is a literal event. Back in 1996, I simply prayed and asked Jesus to come into my heart and I literally *FELT* Him enter, and the moment this happened, I burst into tears of overwhelming joy and love and peace! Before praying, I did not expect to actually feel something, but I did! He's literally there right now in my chest. :) I had an experience last year, where He reminded me of this, too:
*JESUS is my Treasure!* One morning I woke up quite suddenly at around 5 o'clock; in the moment, I was given a vision of what looked like a *white mist* slowly swirling in my chest. I saw Him for around 3 seconds. Then the words spoken to me: *"I'm still here." :)* in this tender-loving voice. Right after I heard that, I put my hands over my heart and said to Jesus: *"YOU'RE MY HIDDEN TREASURE!" :D* - I was so overjoyed! :) He revealed His presence to me so unexpectedly! I saw His Holy Spirit! :)
*Matthew 5:8* -- *_"Blessed_*_ are the _*_pure in Heart:_*_ for _*_they_*_ shall _*_see God."_*
*Matthew **6:21* -- _"For where your _*_Treasure_*_ is, _*_there_*_ will your _*_Heart_*_ be also."_
*2 Corinthians 4:7* -- _"But we have this _*_Treasure_*_ in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the Power may be of God, and not of us."_
*Proverbs 15:6* -- _"In the _*_house_*_ of the _*_righteous_*_ is much _*_treasure:..."_*

      ----
I've read and heard many testimonies of ex-catholics claiming that their priests never told them about being BORN AGAIN! That's astounding because being born again is *THE ONLY WAY* to enter into the Kingdom of God! I'd urge all catholics to get out of catholicism. Its head elite are satanic cultists. Just google image search: *VATICAN HALL* and see that big serpent face? satanic cultists. Now the pope is trying to form a one world religion and government. It's like he's TRYING to be the false prophet written of in the book of Revelation. We're in the end times, please simply accept Jesus into your heart right now. It's that simple. Get away from doctrines of men. Salvation is simplicity in Christ Jesus, knowing Him, having Him in your heart. That's it. :)
P.S. It's not we who dedicate our 'lives' to Christ Jesus. It's *Christ Jesus* Who dedicates *His LIFE* to us... when we become born again of the Holy Spirit of God. :)

Don’t eat meat, wash migrant feet, worship the sun, lead the charge in global warming hoax, etc. Communion is saying Christ’s sacrifice wasn’t good-enough the first time, what a statement. Confession is saying Jesus lied when He said “I have torn the veil” and “no one gets to the FATHER (only God is spiritual father) unless by me.” Saying the pope is infallible goes against Christ who said “why call me good? no man is good but God” and good means “morally perfect.” Claiming any human has that power is idolatrous.
2nd commandment is “thou shalt not make no graven images.” Catholics took that out cause they kept getting called-out and asked questions. The 9th commandment is “thou shalt not covet thy neighbor.” That means covet ANYTHING your neighbor has... money, kids, house, wife... Catholic Church snakily divides 9 into 9 and 10: “thou shalt not covet they neighbor’s goods” and “thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife.” /// Coveting thy neighbor’s wife falls under COVET in general and the splitting of the 9th commandment is desecrating God’s words and “laws.” But yeah, it’s definitely “God’s preferred church.” Wake up.

If she was good enough for Jesus Christ, she's good enough for me! Also, at the foot of the cross, Jesus gave us his mother. He said, Disciple, behold your mother, Mother, behold your son...(I paraphrase). Mary was conceived without Original sin. Most of the "Hail Mary", (the first half) are words that comes directly from the Bible! In the second half, we ask Mary to pray for us at the hour of our death. Don't you pray for people when they ask?? The Pope is the head interpreter of our Church, with the foundation being Christ. there are approx. 33,000 different religions. As an adult I saw so many flaws and non-biblical beliefs in the church that it forced me to leave. It's like the church carried my relationship with God so I didn't have to carry any burdens nor be accountable for my sins. As a born again Christian I go directly to Jesus (not Mary, not saints, not priests) and He enables me to repent and grow in the Spirit. I have to say, being a catholic was easy, you get to sin all week because on Sunday I get to confess anyways (if i practiced it). What a joke the catholic church has made of the gospel. Shameful. My own siblings have turned against me because I'm now a Protestant and that's a crime in the eyes of Catholics. But I know exactly why. They are indoctrinated. Men love their traditions more than to know Jesus personally. I got baptized as a baby but that's not biblical, so i got baptized again at 27 when I actually knew why I was doing it. Getting freed from the catholic church is more difficult than an atheist becoming Christian. After all, its easier to open the eyes of the blind than to open the eyes of those who claim to see.

James 2:22. Luther (Sola Fide' father) introduced a novel idea that no one had ever heard before, which is that God makes the believer to be just not by infusing Christ's righteousness, not by changing his character, but rather by imputing the righteousness of Jesus. So for Luther, God would look at a sinful person and say I'll just treat you as if you were righteous. That's called imputed righteousness. Luther and Calvin rejected the Catholic doctrine of "purgatory" because purgatory clearly contradicted their Protestant faith.

It's good to hear that you wish to come closer to the LORD and to help others. That's how we Christians should be. But what is it that's stopping/preventing you? Also, I urge you to turn to God with *your* prayers. He listens when you tell Him with all sincerity what is in your heart. It is a much better way than asking strangers to do something you should be doing yourself.
"“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly." Matthew 6:5-6
"Pray for me" is what the Pharisees would do.
Again, the Bible mentions in I Thessalonians 5:25, II Thessalonians 3:1 and Hebrews 13:18 "pray for us". Pray for us, not pray for me. We should always pray for others more than for ourselves. That's how the apostles always thought- as a church, as a group, a collective. There was no individualism of the 21st century back then. The community's welfare was more important than an individual's welfare. Hence, the Lord's prayer says "give US this day our daily bread, forgive US our trespasses, lead US not into temptation, deliver US from evil"...and not "give me".
Praying for others is something that Christ does want us to do-but in the proper context. Before you come to the LORD and ask for something for yourself, think of others and their needs. After all, the LORD knows what you need even before you ask for it. Put others before you- pray for somebody you know. And if you are asking for His help for yourself, do it in privacy of your room where nobody else can hear you.

On Confession: In John’s Gospel (20:23), the disciples receive the Holy Spirit. Sounds like you are Catholic too (as I also am) I agree I've been studying scripture for a year now and so much has changed. she admitted she is a sinner, confessed Jesus dies for our sins and because she is Catholic, that wasn't good enough for him. If the same conversation happened with a non believer, he would have said they are saved. It's also becoming apparent to me that most protestants are not reading the bible either. They claim they go by what the bible says, but more often they are just repeating what others tell them this or that verse means.

    • @ValerieGriner

Give up "MEN'S TRADITIONS!" Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life." The Bible says that the way of salvation is this: repent of your sins and be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Trust in JESUS ALONE through FAITH ALONE...Sola scriptura ALONE. There is NOTHING in the Bible about praying to Mary or the saints, no PURGATORY, no "transubstantiation"(crucifying Christ over and over at the Mass). Catholicism is one of the worst places to lead a person seeking after salvation and Christ. There are no venial and mortal sins. ALL SIN is wrong in God's eyes...equally weighted. It's by FAITH we are saved...not by works..."lest any man boast"(says Paul). Peter and Paul were NOT POPES. We pray and confess DIRECTLY to God in the Name of Jesus Christ. We need no earthly priests, popes or mediators. I hope that this girl gets OUT of Catholicism and finds the TRUE way of Salvation in Christ. By the way, my uncle and 2 cousins were molested by priests...it happens quite often.

@@dashriprock5720 We Protestants follow the Bible..."sola scriptura." We do NOT follow "MEN'S TRADITIONS." Nowhere in the Bible does it say to pray or even CONSIDER MARY; no PURGATORY, no confessing to earthly priests, no POPE, no "transubstantiation." Jesus Christ is our high priest and mediator with God.The BIBLE SAYS SO. We pray directly to God(boldly)in the Name of Jesus Christ. You need to study the Protestant Reformation...it's an important DIVISION between Catholics and Protestants. God views SIN as SIN...there's no such thing as "venial vs. mortal" sins. God hates ALL SIN...read the 10 commandments. You need to get back to the BIBLE ALONE and stop carrying Christ around on a Crucifix. He HAS RISEN...take Him off that stick that the Pope carries around. "It is finished." Jesus is in heaven at the right hand of the Father. Read the Bible...it's ALL in there. Your current Pope was a chemist and a bouncer. How did HE become a mediator with heaven?

Yes, that’s the biblical born again definition! Spirit + water! 3Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
4Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” 5Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws."
Jesus was speaking to a Jew and explained it to him through the scriptures themselves. This was because Nicodemus was a teacher of the law and knew the scriptures very thoroughly. Born again clearly from the scriptures means a spiritual cleansing and a transformative new beginning, characterized by spectacular cleansing "symbolized" by water that washes away all impurities and idols, and by the powerful gift of the Spirit that transforms the hearts of people. This is incorrect according to God’s word. Being born again is to be born of the Holy Spirit. Water baptism is an outward sign of this but is not required. Being born of the Holy Spirit changes a person to love that which is righteous. It’s a supernatural phenomenon that God does to give you a new heart and new desires. I can attest because it happened to me September of 2023. I chose water baptism after as an outward sign of this spiritual miracle. I had been an atheist for 30 years before that.

I cant tell if he's is being dishonest or ignorant. If he knew that was the Catholic viewpoint he should've acknowledged that her statement was at least true to her faith. If he didnt know it was the Catholic standpoint, then he should read up on Catholic theology before lecturing Catholics. 1. Examination of conciense
    2. Remorse of the sins
    3. Resolve to not sin again
    4. Tell the sins to the priest so the priest can forgive the sins
    ( as Jesuschrist said)
    5. Complete your penance
I agree that if a person truly wants to love Jesús, that person would do everything, (I think this is what you mean) to avoid future sins and cry the past sins, a good example is Saint Ignatius of Loyola. Every Catholic has been "Born Again". First, by their infant BAPTISM and then by accepting the Catholic faith which teaches us that we must confess and repent our sins and that Jesus died on the cross for our salvation, for the forgiveness of our sins. Catholics pray the Apostle's Creed, the Act of Contrition and the Our Father daily. These are a daily confession of our faith in prayer to our Lord. If you are Catholic and anyone ever asks you if you are BORN AGAIN, your answer is YES. You were saved and you are being saved, if you practice your Catholic faith.
Ray is WRONG, because BAPTISM is part of being Born Again. It is Ray who is NOT Born Again.

Christ established His Church on Peter (Mt. 16), but Protestants who believe in the man-made tradition of Luther's "sola Scriptura" (Bible alone) cannot find this phrase "Bible alone" in the Bible. The Bible says that the pillar and foundation of truth is the Church (1 Tim. 3). She acknowledged Christ's saving death...that should be a good enough answer instead of harassing her to win an argument. Just b/c a Catholic cannot answer your questions doesnt mean Christ didnt establish the Catholic Church which He did 2000 years ago. Interviewer was wrong that it is "okay" to miss Mass b/c Christ commanded us to eat His flesh and drink His blood which we do at Mass (Jn. 6). She knows she sinned by missing Sunday Mass. Jesus gave the authority to forgive sins to his Church -- sinful men -- when he said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven" (Jn. 20). Interviewer needs to read the Word of God. Catholics who are reading this and have left the Church, I warmly invite you home to the Church for whom Christ died (Eph. 5). Catholics, do not forget your roots in the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation when you were born again in water and the Spirit. Don't be deceived by those who can quote the Bible. Even Satan knows how to quote the Bible. Catholics may not be able to quote the Bible chapter and verse like most Protestants, but her many saints throughout 2000 years of Catholic Church history show how Catholics live and love the Bible (not just head-quote it) and love Jesus's mother who the Beloved Disciple St. John "took in his home" (Jn. 19) at the foot of the Cross. Accept Christ in your life, the only Savior of the world, and be baptized into the Body of Christ, his Bride and Church. Viva Christo Rey!

Oh boy here we go again I am Catholic I attend and teach Sunday school at a Pentecostal church. Being Catholic you should have read the new testament for yourself act 2 says the new believers met daily to pray and the catholic church encourages you to do the same daily mass and readings would have meant that you would have read the bible.in a year. Every aspect of the mass is based on the bible you are confessing your sins to God you are just doing it as James 5: 16 says to confess to one another with God representative. A pastor is a much God representative as a priest why he is a pastor in spanish this is sheperd the one that leads the flock the protestant pastor and the priest both have the responsibility of leading like Jesus our sheperd to Jesus himself and God. The pastor of a protestant church must have an exemplary character only one wife etc. The only difference is priest are asked not to marry to be true representatives of christ and of course yes there has been much corruption among the priesthood but that is not caused from being a catholic Christian believer but from men who are disobedient and do not fear and show reverence and lack real faith and belief but then what of them maybe like Judas who saw Jesus' miracles and walked with him for 3 years the flesh and the temptations to sin are more prominent than the fear of the knowledge of who Jesus is who God is and the consequences they face. I wish many Catholics would truly study theirbible.and their faith before leaving there are movements within the church charismatic in nature where people speak in tongues and there are many videos on you tube where protestants explain their reason for converting to Catholicism just as many chose to leave the church that being said why cant we all be friends understanding not to push a division in the body of christ! Do you know how often JRR Tolkien (Lord of the rings and a Catholic) tried to convert his atheist friend to Catholicism? He never managed too but CS Lewis did go back to protestant christian faith and wrote some great books including mere christianity and the screwtape letters read both sometime screwtape a head devil tells his nephew a young devil to make people think religion is archaic old and boring and that is the perception most have of the catholic church and leave they want a more modern church and so they keep repeating the same thing the catholic church does not teach the bible. Do you know that to study much of early Christian theology you would have to study not only the history of the catholic church but the writings of early Catholics Christians monks etc? And guess what it is their writings that many Catholic practices are based on so who is the better authority on what the early christians did to practice their faith than those who were there founding the church?! Plus think about it the New testament talks of a gathering of people who were Jews and who were just developing "the way" which later became christianity. PAUL writes to them on how to keep the faith and how they should behave as Christians their character as believers. The church of ecclesia/ecklesia means goverment in Greek. People like to call the Catholic church a political institution saying they have their own government well Jesus said Peter you are the one on which I will found my ekklesia or ecclesia my government !!!! And all those lovely place many Christians love that visit in the holy land however call Constantine a pagan who introduced pagan beliefs into the catholic church so it is bad well Constantine was the one who charged his mother with preserving all the holy sites where Jesus had been. Sometimes it is better to just say let me learn and understand get wisdom because their is always more. Reminds me of Ray's movie the fool he said someone had called him a bibliophile he did not look up the word just assumed the person was insulting him led to much embarrassment the atheists had quite a laugh. The demons must be laughing at us look christian against christian and we are winning at dividing them because they are arguing doctrine and not understanding it is a fight against 2 kingdoms if they say they are Christians they belong to the kingdom of God not the protestant kingdom and the catholic kingdom even Jesus told them.a kingdom. Against itself will not stand and here is Ray's video dividing the kingdom of God and satan's kingdom stands united....smh

Now Dominic think about this Jesus said we would be persecuted for his sake ....which is the most persecuted and targeted church in christendom and I dont mean from non believers or even other believers accusing the Catholic church whether the Roman or orthodox churches but by satan himself he has gotten into the minds of men men meant to shepherd the flock and led them to do atrocious things surely you can see the diabolical at play.....we must pray for the body of Christ. As i have mentioned in previous replies if you feel so strongly about Catholivs revering Mary then kneel at midnight and pray ask God if all Catholics are wrongly practicing christianity and offending Him let them know He is the only one who can change their hearts and minds but I pray that if he sees it is not so He may open your mind to further truth. Let all the righteous who call upon the name of the Lord be saved!

Hi there, I do not understand why this video thinks (most) Catholics do not understand repent and to trust in Jesus only. The Catholic Church teaches you to repent and have a relationship with Jesus Christ and that your saved through Jesus Christ only. I see no issue asking a priest to pray (repent) for you so your sins are forgiven. Having said that, it is imperative to love God with all your heart and trust in him alone, pray for others and to ask for forgiveness consistently. Peace.

    • @dorsi68
      @dorsi68 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

Hi Chase, almost all Catholics do not idolize the Pope or Priests. Based on my comment above, your comment makes zero sense. Read my initial comment first as I clearly state humans are saved Jesus Christ alone. The Catholic Church is the true church of Jesus Christ as its lineage is from St. Peter who Christ said He would build His church. There are a number of items I disagree with the Catholic Church but its the church Jesus Christ founded through His servant St. Peter.

    • @dorsi68
      @dorsi68 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Hi Chase, I do not think you fully understand The Bible based on what you are saying. I ask Jesus for forgiveness and pray for others and would be grateful if others prayed for me. I have confessed my sins to a Priest from time to time. So although only the blood of Jesus Christ can save us, and only Jesus Christ can forgive us, there is nothing inherently wrong about confessing sins to a priest or anyone else for that matter. Why is it wrong to have a Priest or anyone else to pray to you ? And do you think Martin Luther was a Servant of Jesus Christ or a delusional heretic to delete 6 books from the Old Testament, change verses in the New Testament, wanting to omit Revelation and having a strong dislike of the Jews ?

    • @dorsi68
      @dorsi68 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Hi Chase, it is clear your making up what I stated above in clear words and not answering my questions. My original statement clearly states "I see no issue asking a priest to pray (repent) for you so your sins are forgiven." as the power of prayer is strong whether its from a priest, a friend or someone who cares. Abd I did state clearly "that your saved through Jesus Christ only". If you understand English, this means no one can save you but God alone. You seem to think it is wrong to have a priest or someone to pray for you. And your distorting my belief that a priest or someone else can save me when clearly I never stated this. I just stated it is good to pray for others and good for others to pray for you. This is stated in The Bible. The is the issue with people like yourself is that you distort what we believe in and have a very negative opinion that we idolize Mary or the Saints for example and this is 100% wrong. The issue with Martin Luther is not about the 6 books only, but verses being changed in the New Testament and him wanting to omit Revelation and his dislike of the Jews. The later part is much worse than the 6 books which is wrong in itself and he is not a servant of God.

    • @dorsi68
      @dorsi68 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Hi Chase, their is no point discussing Martin Luther as your defending him as a muslin is defending Mohammad. Martin Luther is leading many people down the wrong path and is not a servant of God. For the record, I consider the last two popes to be very questionable yet both are greater than Martin Luther who hates the Jews and changed the Bible for his own human purpose. Their is no point talking about Martin Luther as your blind as a Muslim saying Mohammad was a Prophet of God. Yes, it is very good to pray to anyone for their prayers and who are greater than the Saints. I agree that we can pray to Saints although I am a believer to pray directly to God. In regards to Priests forgiving sins, this part I do not agree with but is taught in the Catholic Church. The Apostles were given the power to forgive sin based on Matt 16:18-19 ; Matt 18:18 and John 20:21-22 but they had the Holy Spirit and were the true servants of God.

Make an awesome Catholic? Why not an awesome born-again follower of Christ? Everything he spoke to her is pure Gospel, not Roman traditions and laws. I'm Latin American so I was indoctrinated into the Catholic church from birth. As an adult I saw so many flaws and non-biblical beliefs in the church that it forced me to leave. It's like the church carried my relationship with God so I didn't have to carry any burdens nor be accountable for my sins. As a new born again Christian I go directly to Jesus (not Mary, not saints, not priests) and He enables me to repent and grow in the Spirit.

When I wonder who in the world is conformed to Jesus, who exudes the fruit of the Spirit, Ray comes to mind.
