However, one woman says she doesn't celebrate Christmas, and further said she doesn't celebrate any holidays. Once she said this, Ray instantly knew why, and it's for a very unfortunate reason... she's a Jehovah's Witness.

I had 2 Jehovah's Witnesses knock on my door yesterday and I asked them the same question about having a knife in my back with 3 minutes to live and they just stared at each other blankly while trying to think of relevant Bible verses. So it has brought a smile to my face to see this video today. We continued to talk about Jesus, how he is central to the Bible and the only solution to sin, and we finished by looking at the differences between the JW Bible and my ESV. As they were about to leave they thanked me for my concern for their salvation and said they rarely get that.
Jehovah's Witnesses raped kids and no one ever called the cops. A slimy cult, like the Pope's fine cult. Yawn.
I would just get that person to the hospital or tell them anything they want.

JW's and Mormons always say the same thing when knocking on your door. "Hi we would like to talk to you about about our Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ" My response is always. "Sure, what would you like to know?"
I was a JW for 10 years and then I received Christ as my savior. Suddenly the Bible began to make sense in a way it never had before!! Being BORN AGAIN is the only way to go!!

22years ago I had a brain tumour operation - complications - I died 3 times on the op -table ! Each time the gate keeper told me 'it is not your time you have not fulfilled your purpose' & sent me back down that amazing tunnel of light. The doctor when he came asked me 'what did you see?' I told him ALL I saw & he said 'you have just told me again that which I have many times from others who have been where you went & returned & you should not have been able to come back .We played no part in it!' ......I believe.....Maranatha Shalom

He will make you born again, adopted child of God. Read the Bible… starting in the Gospel of John and or Matthew, Mark, Or Luke. And find a Bible believing , Bible teaching Christian Church that glorifies Jesus. ‘The book of Thomas? Sure, that is in the Bible. But the book of Jonah is not. Christ’s birthplace? Oh, that is Jerusalem-or was it Nazareth? I’m not really sure whether the book of Isaiah is in the first or the second part of the Bible. The number of apostles? I really don’t know.’
“THESE findings may have come as no surprise if the data had been collected only among non-Christians,” says the magazine Christianity Today. “What is surprising-and disturbing-is the amount of Scriptural ignorance that was found among born-again Christians.”
For instance, 22 percent of the nominal Christians surveyed thought that there really was a book of Thomas in the Bible, while 13 percent were not sure. As for Jonah, 27 percent said it was not in the Bible, and 12 percent had no idea. Six percent could not even guess where Christ was born, while 16 percent named Jerusalem, and 8 percent said it was Nazareth. A full 13 percent had no idea where the book of Isaiah could be found in the Bible, while 11 percent placed it in the Christian Greek Scriptures (“New Testament”). And while most knew that there were 12 apostles, 12 percent gave another number, from 2 to over 20, and 10 percent had no idea at all.
The question that gave the most trouble was whether the expression “God helps those who help themselves” was in the Bible or not. Only 38 percent of the “Christians” surveyed knew that it was not to be found anywhere in the Bible, while a greater number, 42 percent, thought it was a Biblical quotation. The rest did not know.
“Why is there so much ignorance about the Bible?” asks Christianity Today. “Most likely, it comes from a lack of Bible readership. Half of all Americans do not read the Bible. The majority of all born-again Christians read the Bible once or twice a week, or not at all. No wonder so many Christians know so little about the Scriptures!”

When God saved me,and I gave my life to Jesus Christ. I had been reading my Bible again for a few weeks. It had been years since I had even picked it up. After that day, in September 2011, I was not able to put it down for very long at all. The Holy Spirit began teaching me and gave me this zeal and desire to want to know what was in the Bible. I read and study daily now. There's no greater thing in Heaven or earth than the Word of God rendered in the KJV. I tried reading other versions like the NIV, ESV, NLT, and the like; but they just don't say the same things.
I understand much more now. How it takes Christ to open the book (Rev. 5:5). Jesus said...
John 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
There truly is only One Shepherd.
I am a former Jehovah's witness and this lady is risking everything by taking books and literature from you. If her elder finds out she took literature from you she will be disfellowshipped. That tells me that she is doubting her own religion.

She definitely will not be disfellowshipped for accepting these books. . So you can stop telling that lie right now. I read books from exjw's all the time. It prepares me for the dumb accusations that they make against us. And I prepare other JW for them too. When I conduct field service or at a gathering, I ask my fellow JW, "What would you say if you were ask this question:" And then I go over the dumb ,misleading trick questions that the fake Christians will try to trip us up on. I am told that I have helped a lot of people prepare for the devil's attacks.

This gives me tears of joy. As a recovering Jehovah’s Witness, I know why she was turning around - to look to see who might see her talking to you. I pray for her. I honestly am so grateful at your kind demeanor and ability to get her to accept the publications. I know fully well if no one saw her, she will read them. @@caliopeknows844 we are told not to look at anything besides Watchtower literature not even on the internet because Satan has influenced everything anyone that turns away from Jehovah it is because of the work of the Demons and they will take you from your family if you leave or become a Christian I am six generation I just got saved 3 years ago praise God and my children have suffered the most they have a lot of PTSD and have a hard time in society because they were pulled out of school and homeschooled and now we're trying to make things normal but it is very hard

I would say it is a cult but as in most things, you cannot convince someone they've been lied to. If she discovers the truth, she will be disfellowshipped and likely lose her friends and family.

Jehovah witness operates like a cult. Their hierarchy ensures that they are heavily brainwashed and will not accept anything not even their own old materials that contain the lies of their organization from ex-jehovah witnesses. Even family members are divided as a father or mother is bound by the organization not to associate with his or her son or daughter and vice versa.
It's a cult. The only thing Jehovah witnesses associate with other family members is when they want money from rich non-jehovah witness family members.

I once was a Jehovah Witness and how this woman reacted to this question does not surprise me one bit. Thank God I came to the Truth through the Gospel and received Jesus as my Lord and Savior, my sins are forgiven and I know where I am going when I die.

The break through for me was so simple. A man at a bible study (that my mom forced me to go to) asked me if good people go to heaven and I said "yes." and he bluntly said "you are wrong." I was so mad (being judged you know), but something about the way he said it....the tone...the look in his eyes...I could not let it go. Later, when I went home, I could not stop thinking about what he said (and other things) . It was from that time on that I started to read the bible and to this day, I continue to grow in Christ and pray for that man who said the truth. Thank you Lord. Thank you Walter.

@@runninggirl2765 Bible study leaders are not theologians. They are people who are about halfway up the food chain and are trying to climb higher. They have teaching guides that they study through the week that tells them what they are to teach. They must conform to the format of those guides.
"Do good people go to Heaven" is actually a trick question. The Bible does not address this. Your answer of "yes" was actually correct, but his point that he never made was that being good ALONE will not get you to Heaven. We need the forgiveness of Christ.
Did reading the Bible confirm that humans do not end up outside earth's environment? Go to heaven and do what? Float around for all eternity?

If you were not born again before the baptism, then you are still not born again. I hope that doesn’t anger you. Others could be furious because it sounds like I’m questioning your sincerity. I’m not actually questioning that. Here is the point. The theif dying next to Jesus on the cross went into paradise which can only be possible because he was born again as soon as he believed in Jesus but he had no way to be baptized. Baptism is so important because it is an order to the saved not an offer to the unsaved. The offer of salvation is going in the door that Jesus said HE IS John 10:9-16. Baptism is after entering Jesus’ flock not the way in. Love you. And don’t believe me find out what I know by learning the Bible.

My baptism was a visible sign of invisible grace, which symbolizes the death of the former man and the rebirth of a new creature, ready to serve God! Through my baptism, I testified publicly to my new faith! I now feel lighter, light a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and are more at peace now that I am saved! Prayed for Jayden, for God to intervene in his life and cover him with the merits of the blood of Jesus for protection as he makes his bad choices, but for the Holy Spirit to lead him back. Hang in there. Unfortunately Satan breaks up homes to get to the next generation. Keep praying for your son. Don't ever stop praying for the merits of the blood of Jesus to cover him.
It's such an emotional and wonderful experience to see the Holy Spirit in action being shared by a person in Christ. I can't get enough of it.

Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college student. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't.
I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict.
Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers.

How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of but not macro or micro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. It saddens me that your comment has only received 4 "Likes," including mine, for 8 months. I prayed for my mother for 30 years that she's come to Christ. She thought she was a Christian right up until she died. She thought being born again was a new cult I joined. And it's FREE -- by His grace -- because of His love. A love that was willing to lay down His life so that we can have that FREE gift.
The only thing is just like any free gift, we have to ask for it. People would fill out a questionnaire or put their name in a box just to receive a free gift card or TV. Jesus is offering eternal life and we just have to receive it.
I was a Jehovah Witness for 24 years and I know how empty and hopeless is that oppressive cult. I am a biblical believer for 10 years . I've watched that with real pleasure. If people want to keep their testimony of a faith, never allow them to study their holy book.

Just 6 months ago I ended a mentally abusive relationship with my bf who was brought up as a JW. He told me heartbreaking stories of himself as a child being forced to go door to door. He told me his parents didn't care about his education. Not once did his parents go to any of his parent-teacher meetings, anything. He dropped out of school at the age of 17, didn't graduate, and his parents didn't even care. All his parents cared about was the JW faith and what the elders said to do. He ended up leaving the church at age 21 and started drinking and had a failed marriage. When I met him, I had no idea just how damaged he was. He didn't want anything to do with God, he was very unhappy, just empty. I tried for 5 yrs to get him to open his eyes, but I just couldn't take it anymore. I would cry everyday and he would just drink and stare at the TV. I still pray for him. I pray Jesus will unharden his heart and that one day he will give his life to Jesus and be able to experience joy and peace. 😔🙏💜
Sadly your boyfriend was POMI - Publicly Out Mentally In. The indoctrination can be so overwhelming that without a Jesus centered relationship it can just seem hopeless as he waits for the day of Jehovah's judgement. I invited a couple of JWs in to my home when they knocked on my door, gave them cool drinks & invited them to sit down while I expounded on the way the Lord has led me in my life & the many answers to prayer that I’ve had. They were polite & gracious, but never came back. 😏 Ray is definitely correct that we can use Christmas to evangelise. Even if we don’t personally celebrate it, it’s still good to use it as a way to reach people for Jesus.
Celebrating Christmas may open a different view of the mercy of our heavenly father. You should try it next year 👍.

I was speaking with a whole group of guys who were JW's and they were so dishonest about their religion, and claimed that their Bible was the same as mine 💀 I'll make sure to use this method when I bump into another JW in the future-- they always seem to come after me 🤣
I used to have 3 jWs come to visit me a few times each year. I would make a pot of tea and we would chat about the bible. I quite enjoyed the visits. They knew I am Christian. One time I told them that I did not believe in many of their beliefs and practices so their church is not for me but I enjoy our conversations and they are welcome to continue visiting. But then they stopped visiting me. I think they just wanted me to go to their church.

Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
It sounds like you have already done that and have repented of sin and are trusting in Jesus to save you. If you have, then you are now saved and have received the gift of eternal life. Now be sure to start reading the New Testament if you haven't already, and please let me know if you have any questions.
