PW80 Oil Injector Blockoff kit Install the Easy Way

In this video I show step by step removal of the Oil Injector pump in my sons 1995 Yamaha PW80. I install a block off kit, and talk about mixing your gas. Someone said you can use an automobile freeze plug instated of the block off plug , makes sense to me instead of spending $40.00 for the plug ..Great video

Great video!! We have the twin for that bike. Just rebuilt top end and the piston, cylinder, and head have so much build up on them from running so rich. I'm really considering deleting the oil injector also. I think it would give it so much more power and run cleaner by doing that

Glad it was helpful for you! I wet sanded it. Then a polish. But wet sanding helped quite a bit for my tank.

10:05. What’s stopping you from just grinding off the gear at the end of the shaft and putting the pump back in? Let’s say you live in a country where you can’t get hold of a black off? Thanks for all the help with your video!

I believe you can remove the gear and I am sure it would do the same thing. Just have to plug all the connections then

Never ever saw the exhaust show up. Covid really hurt their production. But I did do the pw50 and it was awesome! I have vids on it on the channel

Did you eventually replace the oil injection throttle cable and that little splitter box? If so, where did you find a replacement to only operate the throttle?

Removed the oil injection cable out of the stock little box. Kept the stock box

You could just unhook it but make sure you mix your gas if you do. Cheers

what ratio did you run for the mix in the gas tank after removing oil injection? Or what is recommended to run?

I ran 40:1.

@@mr_merispug3402 no I kept the stock jet. If you want to lean out the engine just put an aftermarket air filter and that should help out a bit. I still have the bike and because of Covid I haven’t been able to get any parts I want to continue making more vids. I will tho for sure in the future.
