The Beatles' not so secret visit to an Ozarks ranch

The Beatles had just appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show, CBS Network in 1964. Next stop, a ranch near Alton, MO in Oregon County. Why? The Fab 4 needed a break from their breakneck first tour of the USA. The man who owned the big plane the Beatles chartered for their tour just happened to own a big ranch near Alton. He 'secretly' flew The Beatles thinking no one would know their whereabouts for a couple of days rest. Well, the secret did not last long. Decades later, video journalist Ed Fillmer asked Oregon County people tell their stories of The Beatles in the Ozarks. (This story commissioned by the Alton Chamber of Commerce)
