Wow! Krakow's market square is so grand and breathtaking! Btw, the shops in the Sukiennice cloth hall are quite traditional. And the goods are locally made. For example, the amber jewelry comes from the Baltic sea coast from beautiful cities such as Gdansk, and the wooden items mostly originate in the Tatra Mountains. It's so nice to see that most of these are indeed traditional local crafts. I was so jealous watching you eat all the delicious Polish food. I'm hoping to travel to Poland next summer and can't wait to eat a variety of delicious food and desserts. I have to say that I'm partial to the traditional classic flavors such as cheese, meat or my personal favorite, mushrooms with cabbage filling. However, it is nice to see all the funky, creative flavors as well, showing just how versatile pierogi are. Btw, all the stalls in the market were due to a festival that was taking place at that time. Krakow always has something going on. Festivals and events are frequent. As you saw, there was a festival taking place on the main market square and then also the pierogi festival on the small market square. Definitely can't get bored in Krakow! I truly enjoyed your Polish series. I hope you go back to Poland in the future to discover more. It's quite a varied country, architecturally, nature-wise and food-wise, as well.
