Wow! Krakow's market square is so grand and breathtaking! Btw, the shops in the Sukiennice cloth hall are quite traditional. And the goods are locally made. For example, the amber jewelry comes from the Baltic sea coast from beautiful cities such as Gdansk, and the wooden items mostly originate in the Tatra Mountains. It's so nice to see that most of these are indeed traditional local crafts. I was so jealous watching you eat all the delicious Polish food. I'm hoping to travel to Poland next summer and can't wait to eat a variety of delicious food and desserts. I have to say that I'm partial to the traditional classic flavors such as cheese, meat or my personal favorite, mushrooms with cabbage filling. However, it is nice to see all the funky, creative flavors as well, showing just how versatile pierogi are. Btw, all the stalls in the market were due to a festival that was taking place at that time. Krakow always has something going on. Festivals and events are frequent. As you saw, there was a festival taking place on the main market square and then also the pierogi festival on the small market square. Definitely can't get bored in Krakow! I truly enjoyed your Polish series. I hope you go back to Poland in the future to discover more. It's quite a varied country, architecturally, nature-wise and food-wise, as well.

Zapiekanki are delicious. That sound of the delicious crunchy bread had me so jealous!😆 You are right, indeed. There are countless vegetarian options in Poland. Pierogi are just one type of dumplings and they come with a variety of fillings. There are so many other dumplings in Poland such as knedle, kluski slaskie, kluski na parze, pyzy, and kopytka to name just a few. And that's just dumplings your dumplings options. Alsoz zapiekanki come with many toppings. Good job finding a spicy version! Polish food is very flavorful, but usually not spicy. Although, some dishes do come with horseradish, which is spicy.

I love Krakow! Absolutely gorgeous city. In fact, it was inscribed on the first ever Unesco World Heritage site. Interestingly, legend has it that one of the chakra energy points is located on the Wawel Castle hill. Btw, bagels actually originated in Poland and made their way to the U.S. with the Jewish emigrants. The bagels changed somewhat overtime.

I'm so happy you got a chance to go hiking. This looks like an easy hike. Very relaxing. Probably great for a warm day since it's quite shady. I'd recommend other hikes in the Tatra Mountains next time. They have much more scenic views and sweeping views of the majestic Tatra Mountains. Really gorgeous. I can tell you guys would love those hikes. Some of those other hikes would require hiking shoes for better traction. You asked if hiking is popular. It is definitely popular in Poland. There are many mountain ranges besides Tatra Mountains in Poland. I would recommend Pieniny Mountains National Park, Table Mountains, and Bieszczady Mountains to name just a few, besides the Tatras.

Zakopane is indeed gorgeous. Both the Zakopianski style wooden architecture and the majestic mountains of the Tatra Mountains National Park. I'm glad you got to go hiking. Looking forward to watching the hiking video. Hope you get to come back in the winter and enjoy skiing, sledding and other winter activities. Also, the thermal baths are wonderful in the winter time. Btw, here in the States diary and eggs are both part of the vegetarian diet. If you want to avoid eggs, diary, honey or any other products that come from animals you need to look for vegan options. Larger Polish cities offer plentiful vegan options.
