I'm a cheese fanatic so I was drooling during that part but the donut (RIP) looked good too. I love mulled wine in winter so if I was there I'd definitely share a cup or two with you!

Underrated? Look at pedestrians on Florianska street (popular route from the train station to the main square) - 99% tourists, 1% percent locals. Enthusiastic reviews all over the internet. Maybe it’s less known in some parts of the world but surely not underrated.
Next time try some good country bread with a thick crunchy crust, spread with lard with cracklings sprinkled with salt + pickled cucumbers on top. Even a vegan here will not refuse such a set😁

Polish religiousness is mostly superficial, even though most people in Poland say they believe in god. Most of them don’t go to church regurarly or they don’t do it at all. In Poland „religiousness” is more like a set of values which people follow than real religion. And even from these set of values polish people tend to cherry pick those that they are comfortable with. The data about polish religiousness you can find in the internet isn’t very credible, as it mostly comes from statistics, which don’t take these details into consideration.

The Polish religiousness is is problematic. The anti-abortion law was passed due to the pressure of the church. Poland is also know to be an exmple of (relgious) antisemitism without Jews. I also like Polish chocolate, bur prefare the Austrian and Swiss ones. I'm half Polish so I grew up with potato piroggi that my grandmother used to make. Christmas markets are very nice to visit. The mulled wine you get there though is usually too artificial and sweet. Alcohol is often used to cover it up.
